One of Broadway's freshest comedies is reinventing itself.
Starting Monday, Aug. 4, Cole Escola's two-time Tony Award-winning and box-office record-breaking show 'Oh, Mary!' will feature a mostly all-new cast. The players are 'Rupaul's Drag Race' season five winner Jinkx Monsoon stepping into the titular Mary Todd Lincoln role, 'Shrinking' star and 2025 Emmy nominee Michael Urie (Mary's Teacher), 'The Big Sick's' Kumail Nanjiani (Mary's Husband, making his Broadway debut) and 'American Fiction's' Jenn Harris (Mary's Chaperone, her first show on the Great White Way).
Actor Tony Macht, who originated the part of Mary's Husband's Assistant both on and off Broadway, will reprise his role through Sept. 28. There's no word on who will succeed him yet.

If you want to see this brand-new ensemble in the raucous production about the lives of the Lincolns in the days leading up to the President's assassination where the First Lady becomes a 'madcap, cabaret-obsessed alcoholic,' tickets are available for all upcoming 'Oh, Mary!' shows at New York City's Lyceum Theatre.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find seats for any one Monsoon/Urie/Nanjiani/Harris production in August and September was $117 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Other shows in those two months start anywhere from $119 to $251 including fees.
In the event you want to see original stars Conrad Ricamora, James Scully and Bianca Leigh (and Escola's Mary Todd replacement Tituss Burgess), they'll take their last bows on Saturday, Aug. 2.

$128 including fees is the cheapest seat we could find for any one of their performances.
'…the Great White Way has not witnessed a comedy this funny, or a comedic star turn this dazzling, in at least a decade,' The Post's theater critic Johnny Oleksinski raved in his glowing four-star review of the 80-minute comedy.
'I recommend wearing a loose-fitting shirt, should your howls pop a button,' he added.

Jinkx Monsoon Christmas tour
This November and December, Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme are embarking on their 32-show 'Jinkx and Dela Holiday Tour.'
Want to see them live?
The pair will be at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 4.
'Oh, Mary!' new cast members
The show's greenest thespians are all fairly big names in their own right. Outside their biggest credits listed above, here's a bit more about each of them.
Jinkx Monsoon might look familiar to 'Project Runway' fans. The Season Five winner is a favorite among the show's diehards. However, she's also known for her annual aforementioned Christmas tour with BenDeLaCreme and guest spots on 'Krapopolis' and 'Doctor Who.'

Michael Urie recently jumped a stardom level. The Emmy-nominated 'Shrinking' star also recently starred in 'Once Upon A Mattress' and 'Spamalot' on Broadway, making him a fixture on the Great White Way. Other notable roles of his include 'Ugly Betty,' 'Goodrich' and 'Younger.'
Kumail Nanjiani has been onstage before. The leading man — who fronted 'The Big Sick,' 'Stuber,' 'The Lovebirds' and the miniseries 'Welcome To Chippendales' among others — got his start as a stand-up. You may also recognize him from 'Silicon Valley' or 'Portlandia.'
Jenn Harris is making her Broadway debut. However, she is a seasoned actress who has appeared in HBO's 'High Maintenance,' NBC's '30 Rock' and the TV series 'New York Is Dead.' Most recently, she popped up in 'Elsbeth.'
Star-studded shows on Broadway
For those hoping to see big names at the theater IRL, this just might be your year.

Odyssey fans baffled by resale movie tickets going for $400 a year before film's highly anticipated release

IMAX tickets for Christopher Nolan's next epic, The Odyssey, are already being resold for upwards of $500, after selling out within hours of their release. Advanced tickets for the Oscar-winning director's forthcoming movie, starring Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Tom Holland, went on sale at midnight Thursday — an entire year before its July 17, 2026, debut. Premiere screenings are taking place across the globe next year — in select U.S. and Canadian cities, as well as London, Melbourne, and Prague — at theaters equipped with IMAX 70mm screens. Some lucky fans on Reddit managed to snag single tickets for around $32, plus fees. However, by Thursday afternoon, scalpers were already listing them on sites like eBay for much more. 'The Odyssey 70mm IMAX tickers are already going for $500 buy now on eBay I hope you're proud of yourselves IMAX rollout team,' one irritated fan wrote on X. Matt Damon leads 'The Odyssey' as the Greek hero Odysseus (Universal) A quick search of eBay did, in fact, reveal a listing for two reserved seats to a July 19, 2026 showing. The seller has the two tickets listed for $399. 'The Odyssey tickets have already hit eBay. Good grief!' a second noted, while a third found it 'insane that [tickets] are already being sold for double what it is retail price.' A fan has already posted two tickets to a July 2026 viewing of 'The Odyssey' on eBay for $399 (eBay) 'Someone is trying to resell 2x BFI IMAX 70mm tickets for The Odyssey for £94 Great British Pounds! These tickets are for second row seats right against the wall… THE AUDACITY,' a fourth added. 'That resale pic of Odyssey tickets can't be real. Who the hell is reselling movie tickets lmfaoooo,' another laughed. The Odyssey 70mm IMAX tickers are already going for $500 buy now on eBay I hope you're proud of yourselves IMAX rollout team — Marco Andre (@mrmarcoandre) July 17, 2025 The Independent has contacted IMAX for comment. The decision to sell tickets this early seems to be strategic, despite being unprecedented. After the success of Nolan's previous Oscar-winning feature Oppenheimer, which grossed $975.8 million globally and made over $190 million of its revenue from IMAX screenings alone, it can be assumed that studios and theaters would prefer to lean further into that demand. Earlier this year, it was reported that The Odyssey is being shot entirely on IMAX cameras, the first commercial feature film to do so. The new IMAX cameras, which are reportedly lighter and 30 percent quieter, eliminate the usual problems that come with traditional film and digital cameras, like scanning and processing of the film stock. They also allow the director to easily watch dailies while filming. The Odyssey, which is still filming, is an adaptation of Homer's epic Greek poem. The story follows Odysseus (Matt Damon), king of Ithaca, as he journeys home after the Trojan War. However, his expedition proves perilous as he has to battle numerous threats and mythological creatures. Holland has been cast as Odysseus's son Telemachus, while Charlize Theron has been cast as the goddess Circe. Zendaya's role has yet to be announced, and the characters played by Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, and Anne Hathaway also remain unknown. Other recent casting announcements include Mia Goth, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, Benny Safdie, and Elliot Page. The Odyssey will be released in theaters on July 17, 2026.

Steve Miller Band cancels 2025 tour before it even began: ‘Blame it on the weather'

The Steve Miller Band has pulled the plug on its 2025 tour a month before it was set to kick off. Why? In the band's words: 'Blame it on the weather.' The California rock group announced Wednesday that it has called off the remainder of its 2025 tour, including several shows in New York and concerts in Southern California, citing several extreme weather conditions. 'The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires makes these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable,' the 'Fly Like an Eagle' group said in a statement shared on its social media pages. The Steve Miller Band announced its tour in March. In May, the group revealed that the slate of live shows would take its members across North America, starting with the East Coast in August. Shows in San Diego, Inglewood and Anaheim were set for November. While the announcement comes amid climate crises, including the fatal floods in the Northeast and Texas, the band did not specify which areas or weather events posed a risk to its tour plans. Wednesday's statement also left the possibility of future live performances pretty open-ended: 'Don't know where, don't know hope to see you all again.' Though the group concluded its statement by wishing fans 'peace, love and happiness,' it was met with division in the comments section. On Instagram, several followers said that they understood the rock band's decision to call off the tour, while others wrote that they found the justification 'odd' and speculated on reasons for the abrupt cancellation. A representative for the rock group did not immediately respond to The Times' request for additional information. Just a day before its sudden announcement, the group continued to promote the tour on social media. On Tuesday, the band's X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram pages published a photo of Miller, 81, receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1987. 'Catch him and the band on tour starting next month,' said the caption accompanying the photo. The post at the time directed followers to the band's website to purchase tickets. Fans visiting the website are now met with the cancellation notice. The Steve Miller Band was founded in the 1960s and is led by its namesake Grammy-winning vocalist and guitarist. It is also known for songs such as 'Jungle Love,' 'Abracadabra,' 'Take the Money and Run' and 'Space Cowboy.'
