‘MasterChef' Host Gregg Wallace Fired as Over 50 People Come Forward With Fresh Claims
More than 50 people approached the British broadcaster with fresh claims about Wallace, including allegations that he groped a colleague and pulled his trousers down in front of another. The 60-year-old denies any wrongdoing.

In December, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Wallace was asked to step down from his TV presenter role while allegations of historical misconduct were investigated.
Production company Banijay U.K. had said at the time that he was co-operating with the internal investigation after it was alleged by 13 different people that Wallace made inappropriate sexual comments to co-workers over a 17-year period.
Now, more have come forward. The inquiry into the allegations against him, conducted by an independent law firm on behalf of Banijay, is expected to report back imminently, the BBC also said.
'I recognise that some of my humour and language, at times, was inappropriate,' Wallace said in a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday. 'For that, I apologise without reservation. But I was never the caricature now being sold for clicks.'
Wallace continued, accusing BBC News of 'chasing slanderous click-bait rather than delivering impartial journalism.' He added that his autism diagnosis while filming MasterChef was ignored. 'Nothing was done to investigate my disability or protect me from what I now realise was a dangerous environment for over 20 years.'
'I will not go quietly,' the statement ended. 'I will not be cancelled for convenience. I was tried by media and hung out to dry well before the facts were established.'
In a BBC report published Tuesday, the outlet said it had not yet seen the Banijay report. It reported being told by a number of women — all of whom had their names changed for the article to protect their identities — that Wallace had groped and touched them inappropriately.
One woman, Alice, says she was 'disgusted' when Wallace undid his trousers in front of her in a dressing room, and another said that, during a pre-filming dinner in 2002, Wallace touched her groin under the table and asked, 'Do you like that?'
A university student told the BBC that upon meeting Wallace at a nightclub in 2013, she asked him for a picture before he reached under her skirt and grabbed her bottom. Another person alleged that he dropped his trousers in front of her in 2012 and was not wearing underwear. A number of men also contacted the BBC to say they witnessed Wallace making inappropriate sexual comments.
Many of the women who spoke to the BBC are young female freelancers and didn't feel able to complain about Wallace's behaviour at the time for fear of negative career repercussions.
Wallace is considered one of Britain's most recognizable faces, leading the cooking show for over two decades alongside John Torode.
But in recent years, more allegations have come to light about the inappropriate behaviour of men working on Banijay or BBC productions, including Russell Brand — who now faces charges for rape and sexual assault after a Metropolitan Police investigation — and former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima, accused of bullying and harassment on the set of the show.

Katie Knowles reveals she's undergone a hysterectomy as she opens up about years of 'unbearable pain'
Lingerie entrepreneur Katie Knowles revealed she underwent a hysterectomy after enduring years of 'unbearable pain'. The businesswoman, 35, who is married to DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles, shared the news on Friday on Instagram, alongside several pictures from hospital wearing her patient gown. The mother-of-two said she took the decision after decades of living with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis and adenomyosis. Katie said: "It wasn't 'just a bad period'. It was constant hospital trips. Multiple laparoscopies. Bleeding through clothes. Vomiting from the pain. Being curled up in bed, missing out on life. "It was extreme bloating that made me look pregnant. It was migraines, stabbing pains in my legs, butt and stomach. It was chronic fatigue. It was hiding in loos, crying over another ruined day. It was my daughters terrified of getting their periods in case they end up like mummy. "Years of misdiagnosis & being fobbed off. Told to take painkillers. That it was 'normal.' It wasn't. I've cried on bathroom floors. I've bled through clothes in public. I've had 3 surgeries. I've tried every pill, every patch, every hormone tweak. I've been put on a medical menopause just to get through uni. "And still… the pain came." Katie, who married TV host Nick, 62, in a lavish ceremony in Essex last month, said she was sure she didn't want more children when going for the op and that her two girls "are everything". She said she underwent procedure to "take her life back" but added it did make her feel "less like a woman". She added: "It feels like something in me has changed, apart form being sans uterus. Right now, I'm in lots of pain. I'm bloated. I'm exhausted. I'm hot. I'm forgetful. I'm hot (see how that works on multiple levels. "I feel raw and less like myself. Less like a woman, if I'm being really honest. But this was a decision I made to take my life back. To stop surviving and start living again, & have days that aren't defined by pain. "This is hopefully the beginning of healing. The beginning of self-love, scars, stitches and all. And please, if you've made it this far, I ask gently: This is something deeply personal. "If you're tempted to leave a judgmental or flippant comment, I'm asking you to just scroll on. There is a real person behind this post." Katie began dating Nick in 2021 and they married in a six-figure ceremony at Braxted Park last month, attended by celebrity guests including Nick's Strictly Come Dancing co-stars. The entrepreneur launched her lingerie brand Boa Boa in 2022 and regularly shares her brand's new outfits on Instagram, where she has amassed over 100,000 followers.

Cornwall's 'inspirational women' in art exhibition
Dame Barbara Hepworth, Dame Daphne du Maurier, Dawn French and Olympic rowing champion Helen Glover are among the names added to a list celebrating inspirational women from Cornwall. Art Centre Penryn said the trio would be among 50 who will feature on a collection of ceramic plates highlighting their achievements. It follows a call for suggestions in 2024 that led to more than 200 nominations, said bosses. Organisers said the list included well-known names as well as unsung heroes representing a cross-section of the community. More news stories for Cornwall Listen to the latest news for Cornwall Also on the list is world para surfing champion Charlotte Banfield, the UK's first professor of human sexuality, Tamsin Wilton, and headmistress turned suffragette Annie Williams. Dina Holder, from The Women's Centre Cornwall, and Joyte Brown, co-founder of Black Voices Cornwall, were also included. An advisory panel made up of charity representatives helped decide the list, said the art centre. Katie Bunnell, the ceramic artist who led the Women of Cornwall project, said: "Selecting 50 women from the 234 has been an incredibly challenging task. "The different perspectives of the advisory group were immensely helpful, enabling us to create what we hope is a broad and inspirational group." Follow BBC Cornwall on X, Facebook and Instagram.
