Motorola announced three new G-series smartphones in its portfolio. While the trio looks nearly identical, there are some subtle differences in the specs department.
Moto G86 and G86 Power share the same basic hardware, apart from the battery, which in the case of the latter is the largest cell ever fitted in a Motorola smartphone at a whopping 6,720mAh. Moto G56 is a more affordable entry with toned-down, capable specs and lower pricing. Moto G86 and G86 Power

Redmi Pad 2 pricing leaks through retailer listings

Earlier this month we caught our first glimpse of the upcoming Redmi Pad 2, the successor to the original Redmi Pad from 2022 - this one has definitely been a (very) long time coming. Today its pricing has been outed through a number of retailer listings in Europe. These show that the Redmi Pad 2 will go for €199 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and Wi-Fi connectivity. That's the base model. Redmi Pad 2 European retailer listings If you want 4G access too, it looks like you'll need to pay €299, but that version also gets you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, both of which sound much more manageable in 2025 than the 4/128GB combo. The listings show a Mint Green colorway as well as a gray-ish/black one, and we assume those will be the only versions. All of them mention that the tablet is powered by MediaTek's Helio G100 SoC, it has a 9,000 mAh battery, and an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with "2.5K" resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and 600-nit peak brightness. Camera-wise there will be an 8 MP rear shooter and a 5 MP front-facing one. The tablet will support 18W wired charging but won't ship with a charger in the box in Europe. Via

Infinix GT 30 Pro in for review

The gaming phone market is primed for growth, and more Android makers are taking their crack at it. Infinix recently announced its GT 30 Pro and it's coming to India next week. It aims to deliver the gaming phone experience without the hefty price tag. Our review unit made its way to the office and these are our first impressions. Let's start with the eye test. RGB LEDs – check, touch-sensitive shoulder triggers – check, aggressive back design – check. This is a gaming phone alright. Our review unit comes in the Dark Flare colorway. The dual-tone approach makes it seem like the device has bezels on the back. GT 30 Pro comes bundled with a plastic case, a 45W charger and USB cable. We also got the optional gaming kit, which includes the Mag Case and MagCharge Cooler. The latter attaches to the back and features a spinning fan to help with thermals while also emitting additional RGB lighting and charging your device via the USB-C port. And yes, it works on other devices too, even on iPhones. The phone feels surprisingly light, even though it's almost 190 grams. Its 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED is flat and gets plenty bright. We're greеted with Android 15 with Infinix XOS 15 on top which looks clean and modern and comes with plenty of AI features and the company's Folax assistant. The internals are handled by MediaTek's Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, which we also saw on the Note 50 Pro+ – a solid midrange chip. That's paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The back has a 108MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide and a 5,500 mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 30W wireless and bypass charging capabilities. That's all we have to share for now, it's time for the GT 30 Pro to undergo our usual set of tests.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra to have a bigger battery

Samsung is working on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the successor to the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra which was announced in September and released in October. Samsung may follow a similar launch pattern with the S11 Ultra, and today a new rumor gives us some good news about its battery capacity. Namely, that it will grow. The Tab S11 Ultra allegedly has a battery with a rated capacity of 11,374 mAh. This won't be the advertised capacity, however, that one is called typical capacity and should be around 11,700 mAh to 11,900 mAh. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra For comparison, note that the Tab S10 Ultra's battery has a rated capacity of 10,880 mAh and a typical (advertised) capacity of 11,200 mAh. So it's not a huge difference in the new model, but an increase in battery size is very welcome no matter how small it may be. Notably, this is the first increase in battery size for Samsung's Galaxy Tab Ultra. The Ultra moniker started to be used with the Tab S8 Ultra, and that one had an 11,200 mAh cell just like the current Tab S10 Ultra. According to a previous rumor, the Tab S11 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC. That's the only other detail about it that's been outed so far, but we shall definitely be hearing more about it in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned. Source (in Dutch)
