vivo X300 runs Geekbench, confirms its chipset
vivo is expected to launch the X300, X300 Pro, and possibly the X300 Pro mini in the fourth quarter of this year (October to December). Ahead of that, today the 'vanilla' X300 model has seemingly been spotted in the Geekbench database.
The benchmark run confirms the fact that it will employ MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9500 chipset, which MediaTek is expected to unveil in September. In the prototype (with model number V2509A) that ran the benchmark, this was paired with 16GB of RAM. The phone ran Android 16, naturally, as that's the version it's expected to launch running.

The X300 managed a 2,352 single-core score and a 7,129 multi-core score in Geekbench 6.3.0 for Android, but as we usually say - don't take such benchmark results by prototype devices too seriously, they're still in active development.
Interestingly, the benchmark run reveals that the Dimensity 9500's CPU has one prime core clocked at 4.21 GHz, three cores clocked at 3.5 GHz, and four clocked at 2.7 GHz, while the GPU is identified as Mali-G1-Ultra MC12.

The Redmi Note 14 models must be the most popular choice in the mid-range for their thoughtful segmentation and attractive pricing. And a while ago, Poco also launched its own interpretation of one particular Redmi - the Note 14 5G. Meet the Poco M7 Pro 5G. The Poco M7 Pro 5G is essentially identical to the Redmi Note 14 5G except for the design and the rear camera setup. Poco has always been keen on eye-catchy designs and the dual tone back panel on the back of the M7 Pro 5G is quite nice. You can get it in Lavender Frost, Lunar Dust, Olive Twilight, and there is a limited Classic Black version in some markets. The Poco is IP64-rated for dust and splash resistance. The Poco M7 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+ streaming. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The phone runs on the Dimensity 7025 5G chip that packs decent processor power but has a rather basic GPU. The starter version of the Poco M7 Pro 5G has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The only technical differences between this Poco and its Redmi counterpart are in the camera department. The Poco has a 50MP primary with OIS, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 20MP selfie imager. The Redmi had a 108MP main camera and an additional 8MP ultrawide shooter, which is now gone. The M7 Pro is powered by a 5,110mAh with 45W fast charging. It boots Android 14 with HyperOS 1. Peter, 17 August 2025 A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 15 series. There are two 4G models and there will be two 5G ones – the Redmi 15C 5G is late to the party, but it's on the way. We know that these are not glamorous, but they are competent phones on the cheap – would you buy one for yourself or recommend it to a family member? Which one? Let's start with the Redmi 15 5G. This one is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a 6nm chip with ARMv8 era cores and an Adreno 619 GPU. Other than that, it's basically identical to the 4G variant. Redmi 15 5G The Redmi 15 4G uses the Snapdragon 685, even though the 6s Gen 3 has a 4G variant (by name only, the silicon is actually a Snapdragon 695). Not that it makes much difference. What does make a difference is that the 4G model has a microSD slot on top of a second storage option (256GB, the 5G variant is available only with 128GB storage). These two have huge 6.9' IPS LCDs that run surprisingly fast for such affordable handsets, 144Hz. The 1080p+ resolution is also a welcome sight. They have equally huge 7,000mAh batteries (with 33W fast charging) and are rated IP64 for splash resistance. The rear camera has a 50MP sensor and tops out at 1080p @ 30fps video, the front one is an 8MP snapper. Redmi 15 4G There were no vanilla Redmi 14 models, so we have to turn to the Redmi 13 5G and 13 4G. Those had 6.79' IPS LCDs (120Hz and 90Hz, respectively) and more basic IP53 ratings. Their batteries were 5,030mAh. Interestingly, the older models had better cameras – 108MP on the back and 13MP on the front. Also, the 13-series had 3.5mm headphone jacks, which are absent from the 15-series pair. The Redmi 15C 4G also has a 6.9' display, a 120Hz IPS LCD, but it only has 720p+ resolution. At this size, it will be quite noticeable. The 15C is powered by the Helio G81 Ultra, which is a fairly old 12nm chipset. At least it has a microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack. Also, its battery is smaller at 6,000mAh (but it still supports 33W charging). There was a Redmi 14C 4G, which is quite similar to this one, save for the smaller 5,160mAh battery with a lower 18W charge rating.
