Three people are dead, and two others are injured after scaffolding gave way at a large construction site in Texas, authorities said.
"Some type of mishap" caused the scaffolding to become destabilized, causing three Bechtel workers to fall to their deaths at the Port Arthur LNG site in Port Arthur early on Tuesday, April 29, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Facebook.
Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett told CBS affiliate KFDM that the three employees were men ranging in age from 25 to 42, and that they fell an estimated 65-85 feet. Their identities have not been released at this time.
First responders received the call at approximately 2 a.m. local time, according to the sheriff's office. When they arrived at the site, they confirmed that two of the workers had died. The third person later died at the hospital.
Two others who were still on the scaffolding were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified, authorities said.

Taylor Mitchell, who used to work for Port Arthur LNG, told KFDM that it was difficult to hear the news of the accident. He explained that the people working on the site are like a 'brotherhood."
'We're not guaranteed our next breath in the morning when we wake up,' Mitchell told KFDM. 'That's up to the good Lord, but especially at work trying to provide for our families. It's really sad and tragic.'

Drake & Adin Ross To Pay For French Streamer's Funeral After His 'Absolutely Horrific' Death

Source: Carmen Mandato / Getty Drake and controversial streamer Adin Ross are linking up once again to give back. This time, they're offering to pay for the funeral costs for Jean Pormanove, a French streamer whose real name is Raphaël Graven. The 46-year-old was found dead on Monday, August 18, while he was in the middle of a 10-day stream. Once Ross found out, he took to social media with a vengeance and promised to aid Pormanove's family. 'This is horrible and disgusting. Whoever was apart of this deserves to face severe consequences,' Ross wrote. 'I just spoke with Drake. Drake and I will be covering the funeral costs, this won't bring his life back, it's the least we can do. Prayers go out to Jean's family.' Ross' tweet implied that Pormanove's death was due to wrongdoing, but French newspaper Le Parisien has shut down the rumor and will conduct an investigation. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. 'At this stage, there is nothing suspicious, interviews are underway, and an autopsy will be performed,' the prosecutor's office in Nice wrote in a statement to the outlet. Le Parisien also said that hours before his death, a video of a lifeless man resembling him made the rounds on social media. According to People , his brother asked people not to share the video. 'I ask you all to respect his memory and not share the video of his last breath in his sleep,' wrote Graven in a translated post to his Instagram Stories. 'My brother, my sidekick, my partner, six years side by side, without ever letting go, I love you, my brother, and we will miss you terribly.' Pormanove racked up over 500,000 subscribers across all his platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and Kick. He was known for his extreme pranks and sleep deprivation videos, where other streamers would concoct wild ideas to keep him awake, like oil being poured on him and shot at with a paintball gun. According to France's junior minister for AI and digital technology, Clara Chappaz, authorities are aware of the humiliating skits he did for content and wrote on X that 'The death of Jean Pormanove and the violence he suffered are absolutely horrific.' Streaming platform Kick also released a statement regarding his death. 'Our priority is to protect creators and ensure a safer environment on Kick,' the company wrote on X. 'All co-streamers who participated in this live broadcast have been banned pending the ongoing investigation.' See social media's reaction to the death in the streaming community below. Scott Wolf's ex Kelley Wolf dropped by lawyer after actor accuses her of making ‘disturbing, false' claims

Kelley Wolf has been dropped by her divorce lawyer just days after her estranged husband, Scott Wolf, accused her of making 'disturbing, false' allegations against him. Kelley, who is no longer bound by an active restraining order that Scott was granted late last month, was dropped by her attorney, Farrah Spencer, on Monday as her divorce battle rages on. A Utah judge said Spencer and her legal team is 'permitted to withdraw as counsel of record for [Kelley] effective immediately, and are relieved of any and all future duties and responsibilities for [Kelley] in this case,' per Us Weekly. Spencer's withdrawal means that the 48-year-old currently has no legal team to represent her during the divorce saga. Advertisement It comes just days after the 'Night Shift' star, 57, slammed his ex for making 'disturbing, false' allegations against him. 'There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved,' Scott told People last week. 'I was informed of some deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations that were made about me by my estranged wife.' 5 Scott Wolf this week accused Kelley of making 'disturbing, false' allegations against him. kelleywolf/Instagram Advertisement The 'Nancy Drew' actor further claimed that Kelley had attempted to make several allegations against him, 'such as psychological abuse, child abuse, child endangerment.' What's more, the actor claimed that his ex told him she did not believe the claims herself, but was determined to use them to her advantage in the 'court of public opinion.' In response, Kelley took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a screenshot of text messages she had sent to someone, seemingly Scott. 'I surrender to you… all I do is cry,' she wrote in one of the texts. 'Wait. Fight. I cannot do one more minute. If you want me to, I'll just move away? Or go check into a mental hospital? Take lithium. What do you want from me?!' Tell the judge I will do whatever you say. Tell Bart I will comply with his wishes if I can see my kids one more time and hug them.' 'I will move back in with my parents until you see I am fit to hug my kids. I hate you,' she concluded her text, shared with her 79,000 followers on the platform. A judge ruled that Scott will maintain the exclusive use of his and Kelley's family home, as well as control of their marital funds, according to the estranged couple's strict new custody agreement. 5 Kelley is no longer bound by an active restraining order that Scott was granted late last month. kelleywolf/Instagram However, he must cover household expenses and temporarily provide Kelley with $10K per month for living costs, as well as her car payments, minimum credit card payments and a portion of her attorney fees. Kelley was also permitted supervised parenting time as coordinated by counsel and three supervised video or phone calls per week with her three kids, per the July 15 agreement. If she successfully adheres to the stipulations laid out in the agreement, Kelley will eventually be allowed unsupervised parenting time with the pair's three children. It comes as Kelley last month shared a bizarre video on social media in which she tried to force entry into her family home. The professional wrestler died at the age of 71 on Thursday, July 24. TMZ was first to share the news, and said that medics were sent to Hogan's home in Clearwater, Fla., after he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. One week later, PEOPLE confirmed that he died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. According to medical records obtained by PEOPLE, the superstar had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, a common disorder that causes irregular heartbeats. His history of leukemia, a form of cancer that affects white blood cells, was not previously known. The records included approval for Hogan to be cremated. On Wednesday, Aug. 20, Brooke went on her Instagram Stories to post a lengthy statement about what she does and does not know about her father's death, noting that she's shared the information with her brother Nick, "who is boots on the ground with everything" as well. Brooke claimed that she has received "legit calls from professionals- from police officials to nurses that were supposedly with my dad on the day of his death telling ME I need to see body cam footage and I need to get a hold of the 911 tapes because they supposedly contain information that could potentially shed enough light to change the narrative." She said that those professionals "feel so passionately about what they witnessed, they have continued to contact me and push me to find specific answers to this very day." "I do not have answers as to if the officials who have contacted me about what they witnessed relayed this information to the medical examiner's office," she said. "And if they did, I do not know why it wasn't taken into consideration." Hogan was laid to rest in a private funeral in Clearwater on Tuesday, Aug. 5, which Brooke did not attend. She said she has no information as to whether if or when her father would be cremated. Her brother told her that there would be an autopsy, but Brooke declared that any information from the autopsy would be kept private. Brooke mentioned, however, that "All body cam footage and 911 dispatch calls are not available via the freedom of information act" and that she does not know why it's "on lockdown." She also debated whether she should question the fact that Hogan's primary care doctor certified his cause of death. Brooke said she ultimately has "zero control" over the situation and that "it's all up to my dad's wife [Sky Daily]," as those are the "rules" she's been told. Before Hogan's death, he and Brooke were estranged, and she removed herself from his will. She, however, has denied having any "beef" with Sky Daily. "I have to trust that my brother is doing his best to get answers," said Brooke. "At the end of the day, answers would be great, but none of it brings my dad back. And my hands are tied." Brooke said that she and her family are "already dealing with enough" and that she "will not be talking about this mystery anymore."
