"The Golden Voice" movie shines a light on love, loss and Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square

Delaware County filmmaker Brandon Eric Kamin teamed up with actor Nick Nolte to bring an unexpected Philadelphia story to life. It started with a bench in Rittenhouse Square. That's where "The Golden Voice," an indie film about friendship, healing, and second chances, takes place — written and directed by Kamin. The film follows an unlikely bond between a young, struggling street musician and a homeless man with a mysterious past — played by none other than Golden Globe winner and three-time Academy Award nominee Nick Nolte. "It's an ode to our city — and a love letter to my father," said Kamin, whose real-life experiences as a kid raised by a single mom helped shape the story. Shot in just 18 days during the height of COVID, the movie is a testament to grit, heart, and Philly pride. A family affair — on and off camera. Kamin's mom, affectionately known as "Bubby," even joined the cast and brought her signature energy to the set by taping her lines to actor Dharone Jones' chest, who was fresh off "Hamilton." "She may have needed help with her lines," Kamin jokes, "But she never forgot the most important one." A line he wrote, "Die with memories, not dreams." You can watch "The Golden Voice" streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV. Kamin's next project? Possibly a biopic centered on a beloved Eagles player.

Luke Combs Loses Out On No. 1 To An Unlikely Country Collaboration

Luke Combs is one of country music's most prolific hitmakers and biggest stars at the moment, and he's looking to continue his winning streak as his latest era begins. Just over a year after releasing his most recent album Fathers & Sons, he has kept the momentum going with several new singles, including 'Ain't No Love in Oklahoma' from the Twisters soundtrack. Now, he returns with 'Back in the Saddle,' a track warmly received by the country community that nearly adds another No. 1 to his catalog. 'Back in the Saddle' Debuts at No. 2 The Grammy-nominated singer launches his new song at No. 2 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart this week. 'Back in the Saddle' is Combs's forty-second top 10 and milestone fiftieth appearance on Billboard's ranking of the bestselling country songs in the United States. Morgan Wallen Holds Onto the No. 1 Spot Morgan Wallen keeps Combs from opening in the top position this frame on the Country Digital Song Sales chart. His 'Miami' remix featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross opens at No. 1 on the tally, adding to his list of leaders, but helping the two rappers lead for the first time. Luke Combs Scores Two Wins Combs claims two spots on the 15-song Country Digital Song Sales ranking this week. 'Back in the Saddle' launches at No. 2, while 'Backup Plan,' his collaboration with Bailey Zimmerman, slips from No. 11 to No. 13. The latter has spent 10 weeks on the list and previously reached the summit. 'Back in the Saddle' Debuts High on the Country Charts 'Back in the Saddle' enters the top 10 on most of Billboard's country charts. It starts at No. 9 on Hot Country Songs ranking and No. 11 on both Country Streaming Songs and Country Airplay lists. The tune also debuts at No. 38 on the all-genre Hot 100, marking Combs' thirty-eighth career appearance on the tally. Lead Single for Luke Combs' Upcoming Sixth Album Combs is currently preparing his sixth studio album, though no title or release date has been revealed. 'Back in the Saddle' serves as the lead single from the as-yet-unannounced project. The cut is his second release of 2025, following 'Backup Plan,' which arrived in early May. 'Back Up Plan' Continues to Climb on Country Charts Combs' duet with Zimmerman can still be found on multiple Billboard charts. The cut has spent 13 weeks on Hot Country Songs ranking, where it holds at No. 8 this frame — just one spot shy of its peak of No. 7. The track also climbs to a new high at No. 8 on Country Airplay roster this week.
