Patrick Schwarzenegger considered adopting an alias

Patrick Schwarzenegger considered adopting an "alias" earlier in his career. The 31-year-old actor - who is the son of Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver - actually thought about adopting another name in order to distinguish himself from his dad. Speaking to his dad, for Variety's Actors on Actors series, Patrick explained: "I feel [the weight of my name] in multiple different ways. "['White Lotus' creator] Mike White said that it comes with baggage, the idea that when you have successful parents like I do with you and mom, there's an added level of what other people think. Mike was worried about, if he cast me, what other people would think. Which they did — they did care about that; people said I got the role because of you and mom. "There were times earlier in my career where I was wondering, does it make sense to go under an alias? It took a while for me to get to a point where I was less worried about living in your shadow versus wanting to do it the way I thought I should do it." Patrick's parents instilled a solid work ethic into the actor, and he's determined to "honour" their advice. He said: "I understand how hard you and mom have worked throughout your life to give me the opportunities that I've had. The biggest advice you gave us kids is to work hard. I've tried to honour that." Patrick recently admitted that he "grew as an actor" during his time on 'The White Lotus'. Patrick played Saxon Ratliff on the hit HBO series, and he took to social media to reflect on his experience. He wrote on X: "Today's quite bittersweet. I teared up last night in the finale… First — because It was this beautiful yet devastating and profound ending - but secondly, because It was also the end of this chapter for me in my life.. "White lotus has consumed my life the past 16 months. Prepping, filming , press etc etc. It was a Beautiful chapter of my life. One that I'll never forget. One that I made everlasting relationships. A chapter That I learned immensely from. That I grew as an actor and a Human. Just a moment in life that I'm forever grateful for. (sic)"

Harry Potter star Nick Frost reveals his goals for revival series

Nick Frost is "never going to try" to be Robbie Coltrane in 'Harry Potter'. The 53-year-old actor has been cast as Hogwarts groundskeeper and professor Rubeus Hagrid in HBO's upcoming revival, and he doesn't think it would be right to try and emulate his late predecessor, who played the character in eight films between 2001 and 2011. He told Collider: 'You get cast because you're going to bring something to that. "While I'm really aware of what went before me in terms of Robbie's amazing performance, I'm never going to try and be Robbie." However, the 'Hot Fuzz' star is keen to stress that he wants to make sure his performance in the highly anticipated TV series to still remain true to the character in author J.K. Rowling's book series. He explained: "I'm going to try and do something, not 'different,' I think you have to be respectful to the subject matter, but within that, there's scope for minutia. "I always read Hagrid as he's like a lovely, lost, violent, funny, warm child. "I think the beauty of being able to do a book a season means I get to explore that a lot more, and I can't wait. "He's funny! I want it to be funny and cheeky and scared and protective and childlike. That's what I'm planning on doing.' Nick also revealed that the filming will take "10 or 11 months a season", with one series planned for each of the seven books. However, he insisted: "I'm just so excited to get going. I've gone in to do head sculpts and have your hand stand and stuff, and they say, 'Oh, have a look at this.' "And you're like, 'Wow. That's the coolest thing.' I love films. "I've loved cinema my whole life, so to be part of that universe now and that they're showing me, like, a dancing mushroom, it's like, 'That is so cool!'' Other stars cast in the series thus far include Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall) and John Lithow (Albus Dumbledore). Meanwhile, HBO recently announced that young actors Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton will play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively. Showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod said: 'The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen."

Ruby Rose claims she's trying to stay alive' in a series of troubling allegations

Ruby Rose has claimed she is "trying desperately to stay alive" and alleged someone is trying to kill her. The 39-year-old actress shared a troubling series of posts on her Threads account where she claimed she's "moving house every few weeks" after stepping away from the spotlight. She was initially responding to a post on Threads asking: "Who is a celebrity that gave it all up at the height of fame to go live a 'normal' life?" She wrote: "Hi. We just leave when people try to kill us. When we are illegally debanked ... Hope that helps." The 'Orange Is The New Black' star referenced the death of Virginia Giuffre, who was one of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's most outspoken accusers, and died by suicide aged 41 in April. Ruby continued: "I don't want to be labeled 'crazy' and I don't want to pretend to know how Virginia Giuffre died - but DOZENS of people including a school bus, have tried to run me off the road in the last few years. "I have been followed almost everytime I leave my home, since the day I broke my neck back and ribs on batwoman. "Since then I have doubled down on ... Epstein. This has resulted in some seriously wild attempts on my life. "Believe it or don't. But I might as well update you. (sic)" A different user responded urging her to "stay safe and keep speaking out" while "letting everyone know" she's not had any thoughts of taking her own life. She replied: "None zero and nil ( thank you for asking ) and infact I am moving house every few weeks, countries every few months and trying desperately to stay alive until my book is finished and released. "If my employees donated to political parties and tried to ruin me is it really tantamount to me siding with them or their political party? No." She claimed she "already" changed her routine, moved to get and trusted no one until she's sure. In another post, she referenced her departure from Hollywood after a fan suggested she could bring some "star power" to an independent horror film currently being cast. She said: "You could be right! And that is a *me problem. I have been offered some films ( without auditions ) but they have all been horror. "As someone who grew up in a horror house. I can no longer do it. I think my time has come and gone. "It's too triggering. I'm ok for my future to be off camera." Ruby also claimed she doesn't "need or want to be famous", while rubbishing a suggestion she was "difficult" on the 'Batwoman' set before the show was cancelled. She alleged: "I wasn't difficult. I was stupid and traumatized and went to work 6 days after my neck surgery.. instead of 4 weeks later ( shy of the 8 weeks recommended) because AFTER I told them to RECAST they said I would be responsible for 150 crew members being unemployed. "I was stupid and gullible not difficult. I was hospitalized twice during the show for damage done shooting too early. Hope that helps. (sic)"
