CM urges all depts to be on high alert
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy put the city police, Traffic, HYDRA and GHMC wings on alert to prevent traffic and other problems during heavy rains in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister also ordered the officials of the four departments to work in coordination and press the emergency wing teams into the service, ensuring they are available round the clock to tackle the situation in the rain hit areas. He inquired about the progress of the water harvesting well works taken up at the identified 141 water logging points in Hyderabad and suggested to take adequate measures to pump out rainwater which enters the harvesting wells by using automatic pumps.
The officials were instructed to take immediate preventive measures as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast in the state. A new system should also be developed at the Command Control Centre to monitor the intensity of rains and floods regularly.
Expediting the completion of pending drainage and desilting works, identification of the problematic areas and preventive measures was also discussed in the meeting. The CM instructed the officials to prepare plans in advance and pay special attention to prevent floods and submergence in the Core Urban Region located inside the Outer Ring Road.
In view of the fast development of the Core Urban Region, CM Revanth Reddy suggested a special policy for the expansion and development of tanks, canals, and roads within the region.

BRS could not pay salaries on time, says Congress MLA
Choppadandi MLA Medipally Sathyam has lauded the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government for responding positively to the problems of government employees. He urged the employees not to fall prey to the Opposition parties' propaganda accusing them of provoking employees against the government. Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he said that the State Cabinet has taken decisions as per the aspirations of the employees, including granting one Dearness Allowance (DA) immediately, and another DA in the next six months. The Congress MLA also appreciated the decision to set up a healthcare trust and expressed satisfaction with the government's promise to release arrears at the rate of ₹700 crore per month. Mr. Sathyam contrasted the current government's approach with that of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led government, which he said had borrowed ₹8 lakh crore, and had not even paid salaries on time. The MLA said that the previous government owed the retired employees ₹8,000 crore. He also criticised the BRS for raising the retirement age to 61 years to avoid paying retirement benefits and for suppressing RTC employees' strikes with force, resulting in the deaths of over 40 workers. The MLA expressed confidence that government employees have placed their trust in the Chief Minister, who has been paying salaries on the first date, and has already given one DA.

CM Revanth lays foundation for Rs 1,051 crore projects in Alair, including Gandhamalla reservoir, school, hospital
YADADRIBHUVANAGIRI: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stones for a slew of development works totalling Rs 1,051.45 crore in the Alair Assembly constituency, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Friday. The projects aim to significantly boost infrastructure and public amenities in the region. Among the major projects for which foundation stones were laid is the Gandhamalla reservoir, a crucial undertaking with an estimated cost of Rs 574.56 crore. The CM also initiated the construction of a Young India Residential School, a project valued at Rs 200 crore, emphasising the government's focus on education and a medical college building at a cost of Rs 183 crore, promising enhanced healthcare facilities for the area. Further development initiatives include comprehensive works within Yadagirigutta Municipality, encompassing the construction of water, drainage, CC and BT roads, all to be taken up at a cost of Rs 25.50 crore. Connectivity will also see a boost with the construction of a high-level bridge in Kolanupaka village and Kalvapalli village costing Rs 7.50 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively. Administrative infrastructure will be strengthened in Motakondur mandal with the construction of Tahsildar, MPDO offices and a police station, a combined project costing Rs 8.25 crore. To support the agricultural sector, foundation stones were laid for 20,000 metric tonne capacity godowns in Datarpally village with an outlay of Rs 22.75 crore and 2,500 metric tonne capacity godowns in Aleru Market Committee at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore. Road infrastructure across the Alair Assembly segment will also see improvement with the construction of BT roads costing Rs 21.14 crore.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 7 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that his goal is to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of the people of Telangana and make the state a 'One Trillion US dollar' economy. CM Reddy was speaking at an event on Friday, where he laid the foundation stones for development works worth Rs 1051.45 crores in Alair Assembly Constituency. The Chief Minister maintained that everyone is equal before the law. Big leaders have appeared in the courts and deposed before the commissions. He came down heavily on BRS leaders for criticising the government for giving the leader a single notice. He demanded KCR answer the questions raised by his daughter. Reiterating that the government is committed to making one crore women millionaires, the CM said the opposition was making a hue and cry without any reason. 'Is it not true that the Rs 2 lakh loan was waived and farmers are relieved from mounting debt burdens? The Chief Minister lambasted the opposition for making allegations against the government on the Paddy procurement. The government enacted a law to provide 42 cent reservation to the BCs by conducting a caste census and made it inevitable for the central government to conduct the caste census across the country. We also fulfilled the dream of decades of struggle on SC subcategorisation,' Reddy said. Listing out the welfare and development programs launched by the Congress government, CM Revanth Reddy said that the Young India Skills University is providing skill development to unemployed youth. Further, the CM said that free RTC bus travel is provided to women and cooking gas cylinders at only Rs 500. 'Is it not true that Rs. 21,000 crores of bank linkage loans were given to women Self Help Groups? Is it not true that women's groups are given the responsibility of the management of Amma Adarsha schools?' the CM questioned. The CM took a swipe at the opposition for questioning the government on water supply. It was the Congress government that constructed the SRSP and Mid Manair dams. ' We are aware of how to supply water to Gandamalla'. The Chief Minister affirmed that the People's Government was formed with the blessings of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Yadagirigutta, and the government decided to constitute the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Board on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam ( TTD). Announcing that a medical college will be developed on par with a university under the auspices of Yadagirigutta temple, the CM said that he had made the promise of cleansing the Musi river during his Padayatra on November 8. He reiterated that the Government is committed to rejuvenating Musi despite facing obstacles. PM Modi can clean the Sabarmati and Ganga rivers, but shouldn't we clean the Musi? Do our Nalgonda children have to live in the filth of Musi?. The CM said the government will move forward against all odds and revive the Musi river. The land of Nalgonda is synonymous with consciousness and it has a history of fighting against the Nizam's tyranny. Revanth Reddy warned that Nalgonda people will not sit calmly if anyone spreads false propaganda against the government. The Nalgonda district got a raw deal in the previous BRS government. Not a single project, including the SLBC, was taken up for the last 10 years. The Chief Minister recounted the incidents that happened during KCR's visit to Vasalamarri village. One old woman was hospitalised after consuming a fruit offered by KCR, and also demolished the houses in the village. He instructed the officials to take up development works in the abandoned village. The CM also recalled his statement that he would dethrone the BRS government and made it in the assembly elections. ' I knocked down the previous government and assumed the CM office, he said, adding that he has no more desires and ambitions and his only goal remains to make Telangana a role model for the country.
