Katie Price's ex Kieran Hayler tells Princess 'I'm sorry' after her sad confession

Daily Mirror6 hours ago
Katie Price's ex-husband Kieran Hayler has spoken about their break-up after her daughter Princess Andre opened up about the former couple's split on the Princess Diaries
An apology has been issued to Princess Andre by Kieran Hayler following his split from Katie Price. It comes after the teenager said she found it difficult dealing with her mother and stepfather's separation seven years ago.

Katie, 47, married Kieran, 38, in 2013 but they separated five years later after he cheated on her, including with one of her "best friends". He was a step-parent to his wife's eldest three children during the relationship and the former couple, who later finalised their divorce, share two kids.

Princess, 18, spoke about the aftermath of her mother's break-up from stepfather Kieran on her new reality TV show the Princess Diaries, which launched last week, saying that she found the situation "hard". It comes after Princess said she was 'independent' from her parents as she broke her silence after drama with Katie.

Kieran, who has said that "nothing ended badly" between himself and his stepchildren, has now spoken to the Daily Mail. Addressing comments made by Princess on the ITV show, he said that the situation makes him "feel so sad".
He said: "I am as sorry as I can be to Princess witnessing us go through such a horrible separation. Leaving them was one of the hardest things I ever had to do." Kieran suggested that he "would love to apologise" to her in person.
Further discussing the "difficult" situation following the break-up, Kieran said that he would like to reach out and support Princess. He added that he intends to watch her reality TV show, which launched over the weekend.
Kieran said that the breakdown of a marriage and a parent leaving the house "rocks" the world of any children involved. He said that as much as the split from Katie impacted the adults involved, it "disrupted" and "affected" the kids.

He said that he "made sure" to keep in touch with his stepchildren after the separation but admitted that the bond "disappears over time". He suggested that he no longer has a role in their lives after being a "massive part" of them once.
Kieran, who said that he believes he was the "best stepfather" that he could have been, expressed regret over his relationship with Katie. He however suggested that some things should be "kept private" from kids.
He said: "I regret the way things happened but at the same time those are issues I never put around the children, they were put around the children by everything becoming so public." Kieran, who said that he's "never spoken honestly" in a bid to "protect" the children involved, said that the family weren't able to "get away from it" and that it often gets "dragged up".

His comments come after Princess spoke about Katie splitting from Kieran. She said on the launch episode of the Princess Diaries on Sunday: "He was in our lives for like five years so we got really close to him, obviously we loved him."
She added: "He did a lot of stuff and when they split up everything kind of went downhill. My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn't deal with that the best way. She went through a very, very like dark time, which is understandable."
Princess said: "It was hard for me because I was around adulty things that kids should never see and I think as well when we needed our mum there, she wasn't emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on." She went on to discuss crying amid press coverage in the aftermath.

On August 7, the classic denim brand and the pop superstar revealed the final pieces from their year-long partnership in a 90-second movie fittingly called The Denim Cowboy. Queen B, 43, starred in the film alongside actor Timothy Olyphant, 57, to introduce the seven-piece limited edition collection. Each piece includes a Beyoncé x Levi's leather patch. The collaboration was a tribute to her hit song Levii's Jeans, featuring Post Malone. In the ads, Beyoncé shows off the new 501 Curve silhouette, which is quickly selling out. 'The campaign represents a new level and scale of collaboration that has put women at the center of the narrative, and has set in motion a new, iconic chapter in Levi's history that continues to reaffirm the brand's place at the center of culture,' Levi's global CMO Kenny Mitchell said in the press release. Levi's shared images of the Crazy In Love songstress posing in the bedazzled denim on Instagram, including the shrunken denim trucker jacket ($250) paired with the curve denim ($150). The Instagram caption read 'Iconic denim reimagined.' In the now-viral video, Beyoncé wears the new 501 Curve silhouette, which is quickly selling out Fans adored the 'stunning' and 'gorgeous' collaboration, proclaiming, 'THIS is how you sell jeans.' Many people thought the Levi's video promoting the collection secretly dropped hints about Act III, her next album. Act I: Renaissance was released in 2022 and was influenced by Black dance music, specifically house and disco. Act II: Cowboy Carter, came out in on March 29, 2024, and focused on country. Diehard Beyoncé fans have been trying to figure out the genre of the next album ever since, with many hoping for a rock record. One summed it up by saying, 'Arrived on a horse... Left on a motorcycle. Noted,' regarding the genre swap. Another member of the Beyhive explained the video showed she was moving onto the 'rock & roll funk era' and that she would be channeling 'Betty Davis-Chuck Berry-Aretha Franklin.' 'Come on, baby. It's time to rock!' a popular comment read. Fans quickly bought the most popular styles. The curve jeans, which are specifically built with a smaller waist and fuller hip and thigh, sold out in size 34. The 501 Curve Jeans sold out in 32, 33, and 34. The collection also includes bedazzled '90s inspired jeans, a lace-up trucker jacket, and classic vintage inspired T-shirts that reference her song. After Beyoncé dropped her country album, Cowboy Carter last year, the western aesthetic became wildly popular, with the hashtag 'cowboy core' trending on TikTok and gaining millions of views. On the popular re-sale site Depop, there was a rise in searches for cowboy-approved attire following Cowboy Carter's release, including boots and fringe. Beyoncé's former stylist Ty Hunter previously told the Daily Mail that he recommends 'incorporating western elements into your existing wardrobe by mixing them with modern pieces,' like pairing 'a classic cowboy hat with a sleek blazer and jeans.' Luckily, the Diva singer's collaboration is perfect for recreating country of course, it could potentially work for fans who want to bring a little bit of rock and roll into their wardrobes.

A video of her getting inked was shared by the artist Kurt McGonigle, who said it was an "honour to tattoo the former First Minister." The ex-SNP chief opened up about her new tattoo in an ITV News interview ahead of the release of her memoir Frankly - which hit the shelves early on Monday. In the sit-down chat with Julie Etchingham, Ms Sturgeon rolled up her sleeve and showed off her new arm decal, saying: "Midlife crisis alert." She even revealed the meaning behind her new ink. Ms Sturgeon said: "It's kind of an infinity symbol with an arrow. "What it signifies to me is strength, resilience and continuing to move forward even when it feels impossible." The TV interview and her book are packed full of a number of bombshell revelations. She revealed she still misses her former mentor turned political enemy Alex Salmond - who died last year aged 69 - and added she was hit with a wave of grief when she heard about his death. Ms Sturgeon said: "Even today I still miss him in some way, the person that I used to know and the relationship we used to have." Five of the biggest BOMBSHELL moments from Nicola Sturgeon's new memoir In her book, she even claimed the late Queen Elizabeth II asked for GOSSIP about the sexual misconduct allegations against Mr Salmond in 2018 during an audience at Balmoral Castle. One of the most shocking moments from the ITV interview, she admitted making mistakes in her handling of the SNP's highly controversial gender self-ID laws. She even insisted her backing of trans rights was still correct - but admitted she should have 'taken a step back'. The telly chat even saw the ex-FM admitting notorious trans rapist Isla Bryson should "probably" not be able to choose their own gender and conceded the beast is a "biological male". 5 Nicola Sturgeon's highly anticipated new book 'Frankly' hit the shelves this week Credit: PA 5 She had a sit down chat with ITV News which contained a number of bombshell claims Credit: ITV More deeply personal admissions are in the book, including about her own sexuality. She addresses head-on speculation surrounding her sexuality and a previous rumour that she had a secret relationship with a French diplomat. Ms Sturgeon said that her sexuality is not binary. She also told her harrowing account of losing her unborn baby in a miscarriage, saying she would 'mourn her for the rest of my life'. In the tell-all memoir, she admitted the day she was arrested over Operation Branchform - the long-running probe into SNP finances - was the "worst day of her life". She said she struggled to cope with the 'mental torture' of not being cleared by police after a seven hour interrogation. The former leader even revealed she still counts shamed ex-Nats minister Derek Mackay as a 'friend' despite him being outed for pestering a schoolboy with creepy text messages. When our story went live, the ex-Nats chief said there was no doubt Mr Mackay had to resign and left her feeling "sick". She wrote: 'I was back at Bute House when the Sun story went online, late that evening. I felt sick as I read it."
