Anthony Mackie hails 'beautiful human' Malcolm-Jamal Warner
The actor died, aged 54, from accidental drowning on July 20, and Anthony has now paid a glowing tribute to his showbiz pal, who was best known for playing Theodore Huxtable on The Cosby Show.
The Hollywood star told People: "I'm proud to say Malcolm-Jamal Warner was a friend of mine."
Anthony recalled having lots of memorable conversations with the late actor.
Anthony - who is, perhaps, best-known for playing Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - said: "He's somebody that I knew and spent time with, and just was such a beautiful human being.
"And every time I was around him, I was able to take full advantage of those conversations and that time. That, for me, is the most important thing."
In July, Stevie Wonder admitted that his "heart is broken" following the actor's death.
The 75-year-old singer admitted to feeling devastated by the news.
He told TMZ: "My heart is broken because not only was he a talented man growing up and doing The Cosby Show, but even more important his commitment was telling the story, the truth.
"And for me, in a time where we have so many in high places telling low-down lies, we need the truth. So yeah, I miss him.
"I hope that the writers, the singers, rappers will begin to spread messages of positivity, of hope, and us moving this world forward. I'm quiet, but my heart is hurting."
The music icon went on to make a cultural comparison between the late actor and West African traditions.
He said: "I don't know if you know what a 'grio' is, a 'griot.' It's like the African who told the stories in the various villages would have the griot. Whenever a griot would die, it would be like a whole library of information burning."
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary: "An African tribal storyteller and musician is called a griot. The griot's role was to preserve the genealogies and oral traditions of the tribe."

George Clooney hails Adam Sandler as a ‘beautiful, wonderful actor'
George Clooney has hailed Adam Sandler as a 'beautiful, wonderful actor'. The former ER actor, 63, made the declaration as he spoke to People about working with comic Adam, 58, on their upcoming film Jay Kelly, directed by Noah Baumbach. George gushed: 'I kept telling the cast, 'Don't call him Sand Man. Don't talk to him like he's just some goofy comedian. He's actually a really beautiful, wonderful actor.'' Even though George and Adam have been friends for years, Jay Kelly marks their first time they have acted together – an experience both say deepened their mutual respect and friendship. The comedy-drama sees George star as Jay Kelly, a famous actor who embarks on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey alongside his long-time friend and manager, Ron, played by Adam. According to the film's synopsis, the two men confront questions about their choices, relationships and legacies – a premise that resonated with Adam immediately after hearing it from Baumbach. 'The sell was clear,' Adam said in a joint interview with George for People. He added: 'My character loves George's character so much, and I thought that would be fun to do and easy to do with George. And as a guy who's an actor who'd live a similar life to Jay Kelly, it's a crazy depiction – how accurate a lot of it is.' The friendship between George and Adam extended well beyond the script. Adam said: 'He invited my family everywhere, every place in Italy and England. 'Our trailers were next to each other. His friends and my friends all hung out, shot hoops, threw the baseball around, talked about other movies we like, other comedians that have made us laugh, his upbringing, my upbringing.' Though widely known for his comedic work, Adam added the tone of Jay Kelly proved more intense at times. He said: 'It was heavy.' George also praised Sandler's ability to shift into deeper emotional territory, comparing his performance to that in Uncut Gems, the 2019 thriller directed by Josh and Benny Safdie. He said: 'Because of what his paycheck is, which is doing big goofy comedies, when he does these other, beautiful, Uncut Gems kinds of movies, it reminds people of that. 'He's not just a good comedian.' Jay Kelly will open in select cinemas on 14 November before arriving on Netflix on 5 December.

ALL CONTENT SHOT @ 12:01AM ON MY 18th BIRTHDAY. Bday special only available for 24 hours. Come talk to me.' Lil Tay – whose real name is Claire Eileen Qi Hope - first found fame at just nine years old when her foulmouthed videos started going viral. She later pivoted to rapping and has worked with stars including Bhad Bhabie, Jake Paul and Diplo. The young star was embroiled in controversy in 2023 when someone posted a false statement on her Instagram account claimed she had died, along with her brother Jason Tian. The statement said: 'It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire's sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock. Her brother's passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief. 'During this time of immense sorrow, we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve this overwhelming loss. Claire will forever remain in our hearts, her absence leaving an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.' There was confusion as her management appeared to confirm the death to Us Weekly, saying: 'With profound regret, we confirm the accuracy of the statement.' However, just one day later, Tay revealed she was alive and said she was 'trying to sort out this mess'. She told TMZ: 'I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I'm completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It's been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.'

Christie Brinkley and daughter had same matches on dating apps
Christie Brinkley and her daughter matched with the same men on dating apps. The 71-year-old model - who has son Jack, 30, with third ex-husband Richard Taubman and daughter Sailor, 27, with fourth ex-spouse Peter Cook - told how her youngest child helped her set up a profile to find a potential partner but was shocked to find they were being paired with the same people. Speaking to Kristin Davis on her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, Christie said: 'She wanted to see what kind of guys [would match] … and she put me up there … and she said, 'Mom, you're right not to go on it, because the same guys that said yes to me, are saying yes to you.' " Kristin replied: 'Smart Sailor, that is a really fascinating little experiment." Christie speculated on the type of guys who were matching with both her and Sailor, suggesting they were just looking for a woman who would be "impressed" by their choices. She said: 'I find that what men like to do is to find somebody that'll be impressed by every little thing that they do. Like, 'Oh really, oh, you're taking me to that restaurant.'' Kristin, 60, is fascinated by the modern dating world and wants to learn more, even though she is "kind of scared" about the process of finding a partner. She said: 'I'm kind of scared and awed by the whole situation that has kind of evolved in the dating world. And I don't understand it, but I would like to understand it better.' Christie previously spoke about how Sailor, who is also a model, has helped boost her confidence after she appeared in the 60th anniversary edition of Sports Illustrated's famous Swimsuit issue. She told People magazine: "Sailor is very strong and, you know, she has very strong opinions about feeling good about yourself because she's gone through strong feelings, not feeling good about herself. "So, she's really into empowering herself to feel confident and good. And she'll say to me if ever I, I'm doubtful and I go, 'I don't know, you know, is this like...?' She's like, 'Mom, you're beautiful, embrace it, you know, go with it, lean into it.' And I'm like, 'Ok, I shall try.'"
