Celebrity SAS viewers slam lying recruit kicked out for 'cutting corners'
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers have slammed a recruit after he was told his 'integrity and honesty stinks'. Last month the Channel 4 reality show returned to screens – welcoming 14 new famous faces who are put through their paces to try and achieve SAS selection. This year's line-up has included S Club's Hannah Spearritt, X Factor's Lucy Spraggan, Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri, Chloe Burrows and Adam Collar, Drag Race's Bimini and The Traitors winner Harry Clark. Along the way several have voluntarily withdrawn, but on tonight's episode Harry left both the Directing Staff and viewers enraged after he was caught 'cutting corners' and lying. During a challenge the group were tasked with doing 20 burpees, however it was quickly noticed that Harry had only bothered to do half. So far on the show the former British Army engineer, who left the forces two months before filming on SAS began, had only passed one challenge. When being interrogated at the end of the episode the 24-year-old was called out for his shady actions by Chief Instructor Billy Billingham and Foxy (Jason Fox). The pair had been going through the day's events, when it was raised that Harry had failed in leading his team. They went on to say he was 'bluffing' things and had also lied about doing the burpees required of him. 'His integrity and honesty stinks to a point of it being unacceptable,' Billy declared. Harry was then hauled in to meet with the DS after they reviewed footage that proved he'd not completed the exercise task. He was then asked about being a team player and if he 'cut corners', claims he denied. The DS then made him watch the footage himself and count out the number of burpees he'd done in total. The reality star then claimed he'd stopped early because he was 'slow and letting his team down' – a response that enraged Foxy. 'Are you trying to pull the wool over my eyes? I asked you to do 20. You've just sat there as an ex-military man and spoken about honesty, integrity and how you do your best and don't cut corners. Do you think I'm an idiot,' he said. Slamming the table and making Harry flinch, Foxy told Harry to be honest, before he and Billy called in the guard. Harry was then made to stand in front of his fellow recruits and admit his deception, before he was ordered to hand in his armband and was kicked off the show. Soon after, many viewers weighed in on what had unfolded. 'That is a humiliating way for Harry to leave. Making him count when both he and they know he'd cheated was a masterstroke,' Charlotte posted on X. 'Ironic, the very skill that won Harry the whole game on The Traitors was his entire downfall on SAS,' Kirsty shared. 'Harry is unbelievable – still trying to cover his tracks even after being found out! Thought Billy and Chris were going to explode!' Angela added. Others called it 'harsh but fair' to boot him. Seemingly not concerned about what he'd been caught doing, on Monday Harry posted a video of himself exercising on Instagram, writing: 'Practicing my burpees because apparently I can't do them.' Speaking ahead of the show premiering, Harry said he signed up to 'test' himself'. However, when asked to sum up his experience on the show, he explained: 'It was confusing because the course broke me physically and mentally. But that was actually the kick I needed and the experience I needed at that time. More Trending 'It was definitely a growing point for me. That's what I've matured from, what's taught me that not everything goes perfectly to plan. 'So yeah, I would say it's confusing because of the amount of emotions I felt. I felt every single emotion you can feel from a TV show, on that course!' After deceiving his way through The Traitors, Harry took home £95,150 in the 2024 season of the BBC game show. Christine McGuinness 'scared to date' after Paddy split as she walks out of Celebs Go Dating mixer
Christine McGuiness has admitted that the thought of going on a date "scares her" as she walked out of her first Celebs Go Dating mixer due to being overwhelmed during Monday's episode. Christine McGuinness says the thought of going on a date 'scares me so much' after splitting from Paddy McGuinnes s, as she took to the screen tonight for the new series of Celebs Go Dating but couldn't face the show's first task. The mum-of-three admitted earlier this year that she had pulled out of the show shortly after filming began, with the first episode already showing her getting some cold feet. 'I got diagnosed with autism six years ago, it affects me a lot with socialising, it takes me a while to feel relaxed and be open to getting to know someone. The thought of going on a date scares me so much, it's all brand new for me but I'm in the best place for it,' Christine, 37, said just minutes into the show, before she was seen heading into a dating mixer with singles and fellow celebrities Kerry Katona, S Club 7's Jon Lee, Love Island star Olivia Hawkins and Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell. The episode comes as Kerry Katona has revealed her devastating her health condition after split from ex-fiancé. Christine, who describes her sexuality as 'free spirited' was seen getting to know both men and women during the mixer, but quickly found herself 'freaked out'. 'Tonight, you'll be making your first choices on your dates,' said the show's relationship expert Paul C. Brunson as he arrived to the mixer with fellow experts Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara. 'But there's a catch. Your first date will be in a different country, in the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza,' continued Paul, as the camera panned to a worried-looking Christine. The thought of bringing someone abroad quickly had Christine in a spin, as she said to the camera, 'How can I go abroad with someone that I don't even know? This is not normal.' Pulling Kerry aside to confide in her, Christine said, 'I need a minute, I can go for a minute, can't I?' as they headed for the stairs leading outside. 'I need a minute. I don't want to just take someone away,' admitted Christine, as Kerry replied, 'It's a lot, isn't it?' Christine split from TV presenter Paddy, 51, in 2022 after 11 years of marriage, with the couple yet to share what led to the divorce. However, they remain living together in their Cheshire home for the sake of their three children; 12-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and youngest Felicity, 8, who have all been diagnosed with autism. 'We both know that we can date and we're allowed to. We're adults and we're single, so we can, but we also know that we don't need to overshare any information about anything because we are still exes and we are still living in the same house,' she said earlier this year of her relationship with Paddy.

Maura Higgins shows off dramatic living room makeover after moving into her 'dream' £1.25m Essex mansion
has given fans a sneak peek inside her plush £1.25million Essex mansion - unveiling a dramatic living room transformation. The Love Island favourite, 34, shared a before-and-after look with her 3.7million Instagram followers on Monday on her new home Instagram account. Maura showed how the once sparse space, pictured with just two slouchy white beanbags and a boxed-up TV, has been completely transformed into a snug lounge. Gone were the empty walls and floors and in their place, a plush white and cream sofa, a matching ottoman, soft rugs, candles and warm lighting. The Irish beauty, who first shot to fame in 2019, has finally fulfilled her dream of upgrading from her modest one-bed flat to a five-bedroom home. The upgrade comes after Maura's meteoric rise to fame, from her breakout stint on Love Island to presenting Love Island USA, starring in I'm A Celebrity, and bagging her latest role in The Traitors US. Speaking about her ambitions, Maura previously said she always knew she wasn't destined to stay in rural County Longford, marry her teenage boyfriend and open a hair salon. 'That wasn't my dream, I wanted more,' she once declared. Earlier this year, she splashed her hard-earned £3.2million fortune on the luxury pad, which boasts an en-suite master bedroom, four further bedrooms, an expansive kitchen with an island, and black French doors leading to a landscaped garden. Overjoyed, Maura shared to her Instagram followers a picture of her new kitchen with a chandelier and grey floors, which she bought in October, with the caption 'Bought my dream house'. Maura's previous home was raided by three-masked men and so the Love Island star has ensured her new home was in a gated development which provides privacy and security. After first sharing the news of her new home in October, Maura had barely gotten the keys to her new house when she entered the jungle in November for a four-week stint in Australia. Maura entered the Love Island villa in 2019 and after almost six years in the spotlight with lucrative brand deals, she has amassed a fortune of an estimated £3.2million. Maura recently shared how she escaped working in a hair salon in Ireland to become a ring girl for the brand Monster against the wishes of her then-boyfriend and dad. The influencer said: 'I wanted to do more and travel the world. I'm young, why not?' Her time with Monster caught the eye of ITV recruiters for Love Island, who approached Maura multiple times before she finally accepted as revenge against her boyfriend, which has now landed her a multi-million-pound fortune. Maura previously shared with her Instagram followers a picture of her new kitchen with a chandelier and grey floors, with the caption 'Bought my dream home' Her big home purchase came after she treated herself to a new £60,000 Porsche just before heading into the I'm A Celebrity jungle in November. Maura became the proud owner of a Porsche Macan, which typically ranges in price from £60,000 to £98,00. Sharing a photo from inside her new car, she showed off its luxurious all-white leather interior. Maura captioned the post: 'My baby has arrived finally,' along with a white heart emoji. It comes after Maura displayed her toned physique in a summer minidress on the weekend as she shared a glimpse of her lavish lifestyle in an Instagram post. The former Love Island star, 34, stunned as she enjoyed a picnic in the sun while wearing an ivory and pink milkmaids dress. In a second image she looked happier than ever after pulling on a pair of thigh-skimming shorts and fedora hat for a bike ride. Another snap captures Maura enjoying a mint ice cream, while wearing a ruffled dress in a similar colour. She also shared a glimpse of herself in more casual attire, including a bright pink T-shirt dress branded with the Love Island logo. The brunette later posed for a fun snap with her pals as they made funny faces for a photo collage.
