Master plan for Integrated Manufacturing City in Gaya Ji approved
The board reaffirmed its commitment to make Gaya Ji a world-class manufacturing hub.
IMC Gaya Ji project is being developed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC).
Kundan Kumar, the managing director of BIADA and CEO of BIMCGL, said the project will play a pivotal role in developing Gaya Ji as a world-class industrial hub. "With high-quality infrastructure, an investment-friendly environment, and good governance, we aim to transform this region into a new centre for employment generation and economic growth," he said.
Kundan said a significant milestone was achieved with the finalisation of the programme manager for new cities, who will play a crucial role in the on-ground implementation and coordination of the IMC Gaya Ji project. "This step is expected to accelerate execution and ensure adherence to project timelines," he added.
The board was informed that the Engineering, Procurement and Construction tender process will commence immediately upon receipt of the final vetted bid documents from the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation.

Patna: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) is to officially notify the master plan for the Integrated Manufacturing City (IMC)-Gaya Ji as it was approved at the 3rd board meeting of Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Gaya Limited (BIMCGL) held on Friday.
The board reaffirmed its commitment to make Gaya Ji a world-class manufacturing hub.
IMC Gaya Ji project is being developed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC).

Indore: Indore, which has been country's cleanest city for seven times in a row, now has Vijayawada as competitor in the 'Super Swachh League' along with Surat and Navi Mumbai in the above 10 lakh population category. While Surat significantly improved its door-to-door waste collection last year, achieving similar scores to Indore, Indore's comprehensive and consistently implemented system provides a strong foundation for its continued lead. Pumped storage policy to boost green energy investment in state
Patna: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the Bihar Pumped Storage Promotion Policy, 2025, which marks a major milestone in Bihar's renewable energy journey, aiming to attract clean energy investments and develop long-term energy storage solutions. In comparison to other states, Bihar policy offers more investor-friendly incentives. Developers will be exempted from water cess during the initial reservoir filling. They will also receive concessions on intra-state power transmission charges. Moreover, no contribution will be required towards Local Area Development Fund, and the state will not demand any free royalty power from these projects, making Bihar one of the most attractive destinations for pumped storage investment in India. Under the new policy, the govt will facilitate early identification and allocation of non-forest land for such projects. District administrations and BIADA have been instructed to expedite proposals for land allocation. A dedicated single-window clearance system is also being developed by energy department to streamline approvals and provide timely support to investors. Indore: India's cleanest city, Indore, is set to rev olutionise its waste management model with the introduction of an on-demand waste collection facility, accessible through a dedicated mobile application. According to Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) additional commissioner Abhilash Mishra, the new facility will be offered via a specialised portal linked to the existing 311 app. "We already have a successful model with our 311 app to receive any complaint or request related to civic issues and ensure a quick response and prompt redressal," Mishra said. He added that the new on-demand waste collection service, initially named 'QuickSaaf', may be rebranded if deemed necessary after approval from the IMC Council. He added that the service will be best suited for bulk collection, events, C&D waste along with cleaning of big or perticular areas including waterbody periphery. To initiate a request, consumers will simply log in with their mobile number and OTP, then choose between a 'Cleaning' or 'Collection' option. The service is anticipated to launch within a month. The on-demand service will feature a transparent fee structure. For 'Cleaning' requests, charges will vary based on the area and nature of the cleaning required, including construction & demolition (C&D) waste or waterbody periphery cleaning. For the 'Collection' option, consumers will be charged based on the distance for pickup and transport of the waste. To facilitate accurate pricing and service provision, users will need to provide details such as the expected weight of the garbage, a description of the items, and upload accompanying photos or videos. They will also need to choose a preferred date, time slot, and pickup location. Once the online payment is completed, the application will be accepted, and the applicant will receive an online booking receipt for their order. IMC is well-equipped to process nearly all types of waste, including C&D, plastic, and green waste. For specialised materials like batteries, the civic body has empanelled private partners to ensure proper disposal. The charges for the service have been meticulously calculated, factoring in the workers and resources needed for cleaning, as well as vehicle fuel consumption, maintenance, and the cost of drivers and helpers for waste pickup and transport.
