Carlos Yulo bags two more bronze medals in Asian Gymnastics Championships
Yulo finished third in the vault finals where he got an average of 14.333 behind Iran's Olfati Mahdi (14.500) and China's Huang Mingqi (14.400).
In the parallel bars finals, Yulo had a score of 14.166 behind Japan's Oka Shinnosuke (14.700) and Tsunogai Tomoharu (14.466).
Yulo also competed in the horizontal bar finals where he finished seventh with a score of 12.000.
Overall, Yulo had four medals in the Asian championships after his bronze medal in the individual all-around last Thursday and a gold in his pet event floor exercise last Saturday.

James Orduña, Jessa Roda rule Parañaque leg of Metro Manila 10 Miler Series
James Darrel Orduña and Jessa Mae Roda pulled off thrilling finishes to rule their respective 16K races in the Parañaque leg of the Metro Manila 10 Miler Series on Sunday at Parqal Aseana City. Orduña, who also finished first in both Manila and Muntinlupa legs of the series, clocked in 56 minutes and 24 seconds, one second faster than men's division runner-up Richie Estampador. Roda, meanwhile, logged one hour, five minutes, and 36 seconds to finish faster than women's division second placer Edna Magtubo who had 1:05:37. In the 10K race, Roy Laudit (32:15), Noli Torre (32:16), and Welmer Jeck Labrador (32:38) completed the men's division podium, while the top three in the women's race were Asia Paraase (39:36), Shiekhy Heart Supremo (45:18), and Maria Jonna Lina Abutas (46:00). Oyam Kerl Espinosa had 16:17 minutes to finish first in the men's 5K race, followed by Jerico Cadag (16:19) and Rhannie Pilaspilas (16:20). In the women's 5k race, Lezarny Sanita (20:23) placed first, followed by Shaira Mae Fantilaga (20:32) and Liznie Delfino (22:10). Gilas Pilipinas performance at the FIBA Asia Cup since 2017
Gilas Pilipinas is set to compete anew in the FIBA Asia Cup as it aims to win the gold medal and reassert its dominance in Asian basketball. The FIBA Asia Cup will run from August 5 to 17 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Finishing on the podium, however, is not new for the Philippines. In the Asian championships, the Philippines has already won five gold medals, the last one being in 1985. It has also secured four silver medals, two of which came from back-to-back editions in 2013 and 2015, and one bronze. However, since the tournament was renamed FIBA Asia Cup in 2017, the Philippines has yet to reach the semifinals. In the group stage, the Philippines posted a 1–2 win-loss record. The team opened with a 95–80 loss to Lebanon, bounced back with a dominant 101–59 win over India, but then fell to New Zealand, 92–75. By finishing third in its group, the Philippines had a chance to reach the quarterfinals through the playoff round. However, Gilas lost to Japan, 102–81. The team finished ninth overall—marking the first time since 2007 that the Philippines missed the quarterfinals. The match against Japan also marked Akatsuki's first win over the Philippines since the 2010 Asian Games and the 2003 Asian Basketball Championships.
