Brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce may be in for a big pay day following their New Heights podcast interview with Taylor Swift.
Newsweek reached out to New Heights' YouTube channel via email for comment on Friday.
Why It Matters
On Tuesday, Swift, 35—who has been dating Travis since 2023—announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, in a teaser video for Wednesday's New Heights episode.
The pop star, whose net worth is approximately $1.6 billion, per Forbes, dropped the news after months of album speculation. It also came on the heels of her wildly popular Eras Tour, which broke 18 records during its 21-month run.
What To Know
Swift's New Heights episode on YouTube currently has over 15 million views.
While it's unclear exactly how much the Kelce siblings will earn from the two-hour interview, Business Insider previously reported that YouTube videos with 1 million plus views could earn creators thousands.
In their article titled: "How Much Money YouTube Pays for 1 Million Views, According to 3 Creators," YouTubers Semide ASMR, Jade Darmawangsa and Shelby Church shared their earnings.
"Semide has two videos with over 1 million views on YouTube and a few others just below that mark. Typically, these videos will earn between $2,500 to $4,000 in ad revenue, she said in December 2020," Business Insiderreported. "One of Semide's most popular videos had about 1.1 million views and had earned about $3,470, according to a screenshot of her dashboard viewed by Insider."
In Darmawangsa's case, "Her video titled 'How to grow on Instagram' had earned about $3,600, from 1.2 million views, when Insider viewed a screenshot of her dashboard in May 2020."
As for Church, "a YouTuber who had about 1.6 million subscribers when she spoke with Insider in 2020, videos with about 1 million views had earned her between $2,000 and $30,000 depending on the video subject, she told Insider in January 2020."
Last year, the Kelces reportedly signed a $100 million podcast deal with Wondery, Amazon's podcast streamer.
Jason Kelce, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons, announced his retirement in March. In addition to podcasting, the 37-year-old is also an analyst on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown and hosts the network's late-night talk show called They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce.
Travis Kelce is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and was named one of the highest-paid NFL players in 2024 by Forbes. According to the outlet, football generates approximately $17.1 million for him, while his off-field income is estimated at $35 million.
"The largest chunk of Kelce's money will come from the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with his brother," Forbes reported.
The 35-year-old is also the host of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? and has dabbled in acting, most recently starring in Happy Gilmore 2.

Margaret Qualley awkwardly answers Taylor Swift album question
Margaret Qualley awkwardly answers Taylor Swift album question originally appeared on The Sporting News If you want new information on Taylor Swift's upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, you're not getting it from Margaret Qualley. The Maid star gave an awkward answer to whether she knew any details about her close friend's new project. "I don't know anything," Qualley said during an Aug. 14 appearance on the Today show. She took a long pause, seemingly to gather her thoughts, and added, "But we'll all be excited to listen to the music.' Qualley's husband, Jack Antonoff, is a frequent collaborator of Swift's as they worked on her albums: 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. However, for The Life of a Showgirl project, she worked alongside producers Max Martin and Shellback. All three musicans previously worked together on hit records for Swift, including "Blank Space," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and "...Ready For It?" Swift spoke about how the album came together on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. "When I was on tour in Stockholm, I had Max Martin come out to the show," Taylor explained during an Aug. 13 appearance. "I was talking to him and I was like, 'I just feel like we could knock it out of the park if we just went back in.'" "We've never actually made an album before where it's just the three of us," she continued. "It felt like catching lightning in a bottle, honestly." In addition to the production process behind the project, Swift shared that she wrote the album while she was on her record-breaking Eras Tour and was inspired by how she felt. 'This album is about what was going on behind the scenes of my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,' she said. 'It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervesence has come through on this record. And like you said, bangers." The Life of a Showgirl Tracklist 'The Fate of Ophelia' 'Elizabeth Taylor' 'Opalite' 'Father Figure' 'Eldest Daughter' 'Ruin the Friendship' 'Actually Romantic' 'Wi$h Li$t' 'Wood' 'CANCELLED!' 'Honey' 'The Life of a Showgirl' ft. Sabrina Carpenter While 13 is the singer's "lucky number" she shared that there will only be 12 songs and no bonus tracks. 'With 'Tortured Poets Department,' I was like here's a data dump of everything I thought, felt, experienced in two or three years. Here's 31 songs. This is 12,' she said. 'There's not a thirteenth, there's not other ones coming. This is the record I've been wanting to make for a very long time. I also wanted it to be every single song is on this album for hundreds of reasons, and you couldn't take one out and it be the same album, you couldn't add one and be… It's just right. 'That focus and that kind of discipline with creating an album and keeping the bar really high is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time,' she continued. 'I tend to write lots and lots of music, so it's a temptation to release lots of music. But oftentimes, I wanted to do an album that was so focused on quality and on the theme and everything fitting together like a perfect puzzle that these 12 songs for my 12th album, I feel like we achieved that and I'm really happy about that.' Patrick Mahomes had doubts about Travis Kelce's romance with Taylor Swift at first
Patrick Mahomes was doubtful when Kansas City Chiefs team-mate Travis Kelce told him he was dating Taylor Swift. The Chiefs quarterback revealed that his friend Kelce had told him about the pair's relationship but explained that it was only when the pop star attended her first NFL game in September 2023 that he realised that the romance was genuine. Speaking in the ESPN docuseries The Kingdom, Mahomes said: "He told me during the week. It was one of those where I gotta see it until I believe it." Travis and Taylor's relationship was confirmed when the Blank Space singer attended the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium for the NFL clash against the Chicago Bears and Mahomes admits that her presence at the game generated a "buzz". The 29-year-old sports star said: "You definitely felt the buzz and you could see people in the stadium gravitating towards where she was up there. At the same time, we had business to handle." Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones was astonished when the team discovered Taylor's relationship with Kelce. He recalled in the documentary: "We were in the locker room like, 'Taylor Swift's here. Taylor Swift? For real? With Travis? Oh my God!' "We were like, 'Oh my God Travis pulled Taylor Swift.'" Taylor recently compared Travis wooing her to being a John Hughes movie as she opened up about how the pair's romance came about. The 35-year-old singer said in a revealing interview on her boyfriend and his brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast: "This dude didn't get a meet and greet and he's making it everyone's problem. "That's what I thought at first... You realise he didn't even reach out to our management. He came with Pat [Mahomes] and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room." She continued: "It felt more like I was in an '80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, 'I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?" The Cardigan singer acknowledged that Travis, 35, turned out to be the guy she'd been manifesting in her songs. She smiled: "I was like, 'If this guy's not crazy, this is sort of what I've been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.'"
