Ghulam Nabi Azad hospitalised in Kuwait; PM Modi wishes him speedy recovery
Official sources said Modi called Azad to enquire about his health and wished him a speedy recovery.
BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, who leads the delegation of Azad, said on Tuesday that he is stable and under medical supervision.
Azad's contributions to the meetings in Bahrain and Kuwait were highly impactful, and he is disappointed at being bedridden, Panda said.
Seven multi-party delegations are in different countries to convey India's resolve for zero tolerance on terrorism emanating from Pakistan.
The decision to send the delegations followed a four-day military conflict between India and Pakistan in May that followed the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. They will work to bust the Pakistani narrative of projecting India as the aggressor by underscoring the Pakistan's links to terrorism.
The delegation led by Panda is travelling to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria.

BJP to relaunch 'Gothan' as 'Gaudham' in Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh's BJP government is set to relaunch the 'Gothan' scheme. It will now be known as 'Gaudham'. The finance department has approved the scheme. The government aims to address stray cattle issues. It will provide support to cattle grazers. Gaudham centers will be established in rural areas. Remove Ads The BJP government in Chhattisgarh is set to relaunch the erstwhile Congress government's flagship 'Gothan' scheme under a new name - 'Gaudham'. The state finance department has approved a draft of the scheme and sent it to district collectors across the state, said erstwhile Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government had launched the scheme under which it started buying cow dung from farmers through more than 10,000 Gothan centres. However, after BJP came to power, the purchase of cow dung was stopped. With increasing accidents involving stray cattle on the roads and highways, state government has now prepared a revamped plan under the scheme. Just last week, more than 90 cows died in three separate Gaudham centres under the renamed scheme will be used to keep the stray cattle from roaming on the streets. The government will not buy cow dung and instead provide monetary support to cattle grazers. It will provide a monthly honorarium to cattle grazers and a daily fodder budget for the cattle at the centres. The cattle grazers will receive ₹10,916 each per month while for every animal the initial budget has been kept as ₹10 per day. In the first phase, Gaudham centres will be set up in rural areas alongside the National Highway (NH)-6 .

BJP taking credit for Bengaluru Metro project, says minister Ramalinga Reddy
Bengaluru: Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy has accused the BJP of claiming credit for Namma Metro projects. Addressing mediapersons Saturday, a day before the Yellow Line inauguration, Reddy alleged BJP state president BY Vijayendra and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, among others, have taken credit for all Metro projects. The minister said the state govt is not a minor partner in Metro projects but a major stakeholder. "In Phase 1, Karnataka govt contributed 30% (including land); central govt share was 25% and the remaining was borrowed by BMRCL. In Phase 2, Karnataka contributed 30% plus land and most of the cost overruns, while the central govt contributed only 20%. The remaining 50% was borrowed. For Phase 3, Karnataka provided 20% funding, land and resettlement costs; central govt provided 20% and the remaining 60% was borrowed," he said.
