Roman Reigns Makes Shocking Return On WWE RAW

Yahoo16-07-2025
The Original Tribal Chief is back, with a new name and the same mission, with Roman Reigns returning tonight.
During the close to Monday's WWE RAW, after CM Punk had beat Bron Breakker to earn a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, chaos broke out. After Jey Uso came out to help Punk, he and Punk were ambushed by Bronson Reed and Breakker.
As the pair got to work attacking Punk and Uso, things seemed prime for a massive Tsunami by Reed. That's when Roman Reigns' music hit and the crowd went absolutely wild. Reigns walked down to the ring and promptly saved the day, throwing out both Breakker and Reed. He then helped Jey to his feet and watched as Punk got up.

The trio then all turned their attention to the now Seth Rollins-less group of Paul Heyman, Reed, and Breakker. Online, WWE also teased the return of Reigns, who they called 'OTC1.' It's unclear what the future holds for Reigns now, though.

‘Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: ‘Help Wanted'

"The faces may have changed, but my rules? They've stayed the same," Lisa Vanderpump says in a new Bravo clip In the wake of the cross-season drama dubbed Scandoval, 'Vanderpump Rules' overhauled its cast of characters around SUR owner Lisa Vanderpump going into Season 12. Bravo released a brief teaser for the upcoming season on Friday, poking fun at what came before to hint at what's coming next. The 15-second clip shows Lisa Vanderpump putting up a 'Help Wanted' sign on the door of her sexy, unique restaurant before looking at the camera and winking. A text card then states, 'It's time for a shift.' They've stayed the same,' Vanderpump says in the clip. You can watch the teaser for yourself, below. In November 2024, it was announced that Bravo's hit reality show 'Vanderpump Rules' was in for a total overhaul. Following two seasons of Scandoval, the show sought to build a new cast from the ground up around the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star. The reboot will also include a retrospective special looking back at the first 11 seasons of the show. 'The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,' Vanderpump said in a statement at the time. 'I can't thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of 'Vanderpump Rules.'' 'VPR's' big debacle began in the show's 10th season. At the time, Tom Sandoval allegedly cheated on his longtime girlfriend (and co-star) Ariana Madix — with her then-best friend, Raquel Leviss. Leviss herself, meanwhile, is the ex-fiancée of James Kennedy, who, you guessed it, was yet another cast member. You can see why they needed to reboot. The Scandoval drama continued into the show's 11th season, where Sandoval, Madix and Kennedy all returned. Leviss, on the other hand, did not. The scandal was big enough that it broke containment from the show itself, becoming a popular topic in tabloids and online circles. Since the news of the overhaul, Sandoval has been making appearances on other reality programs, such as 'The Traitors' and 'America's Got Talent,' while Madix is now the host of 'Love Island USA.' A release date for 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 has not been set. The post 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: 'Help Wanted' appeared first on TheWrap.

Triple H, WWE deliver emotional Hulk Hogan tribute at SmackDown

Hulk Hogan's tribute to open WWE SmackDown on Friday night was nothing short of a tear-jerker. The event in Cleveland was opened with loud applause, with the crowd chanting 'Hogan' in unison to honor the late wrestler who died at 71 years old on Thursday. Fellow wrestler Triple H led the tribute for Hogan. To start his speech, he said the WWE community 'lost one of the biggest and most globally recognized icons in the world.' 'A man I grew up watching, was fortunate to share the ring with, and, like so many of us, were honored to call a friend,' Triple H, who now serves as the WWE's chief content officer, said. Triple H — whose real name is Paul Levesque — also said how Hogan inspired millions of people 'around the globe.' Dozens of the most prominent WWE members stood behind Triple H on stage, with an in memoriam banner of Hogan in the background. Hulk Hogan at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis, TN 4/27/07. George Napolitano / 'The one, the immortal, Hulk Hogan,' he concluded. A 10-bell salute for Hogan then followed, which met with roaring applause shortly after. The tribute then ended with a video montage going through Hogan's life and his long career in wrestling.

‘Predator: Badlands' Just Feasted on Its Comic-Con Audience

After the new Predator: Badlands trailer Fox released earlier this week, a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con seemed unnecessary. That trailer had incredible action, massive creatures, super high-tech weapons, and Elle Fanning as an android being worn as a backpack. We are fully seated. What more could a fan of the franchise want? Well, apparently, a lot more, as Badlands director Dan Trachtenberg was joined by Fanning and others to show fans even more from their November 7 film. Fifteen minutes more, actually. The group showed a rough, unfinished version of the film's opening, and it's much more emotional and moving than we expected. This thing promises to be one of the best Predator movies ever, right there alongside Trachtenberg's last live-action film, Prey. We won't spoil every little thing, but suffice to say, this isn't the movie we were expecting. We start with the lead Predator Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) traversing a desolate planet and using his tech to climb up a cliff. At the top, he enters a massive cave where someone is waiting. It's his brother, and a massive battle begins. This is supposed to be what proves Dek is worthy of his Predator legacy, but he loses. To make up for the loss, the brother suggests he picks a dangerous prey out in the universe and bring it home. Dek chooses an unkillable evil that's dangerous; even their father is scared of it. 'That's the one,' Dek says, knowing that if he doesn't succeed, he'll die. Their father arrives, and Dek is anxious to tell him about his decision. The father laughs; he has no confidence in his son, and in fact had told the brother to kill him. Just as that's about to happen, the brother frees Dek and locks him in their spaceship… at which point the father murders the brother for disobeying. He then shoots Dek off, probably to his doom. Or is it? Oh, and this is all subtitled in Yautja, the native languge of the Predator. Are there still more surprises in Predator: Badlands? Will there be further connections to the Alien franchise? And will this movie, or Edgar Wright's The Running Man, leave the November 7 release date the two now share? We'll find out soon. Want more io9 news?
