Aberdeen man jailed after he asked Tinder match for nudes...of her baby
Greg Davidson, 27, accompanied his disturbing message with a winking emoji and told the horrified mum: 'It's kinda hot'.
Unsurprisingly, the mum did not send him the images and instead contacted police, and a subsequent search of Davidson's mobile phone found child abuse material.
Davidson appeared to faint as he was sentenced to 16 months behind bars by Sheriff Ian Wallace.
Sick requests to mum
Fiscal Callum Gordon told Aberdeen Sheriff Court that Davidson had been messaging the woman in November 2022 and they exchanged consensual photos and videos.
However, the chat turned sinister when Davidson began enquiring about the woman's baby, asking how old she was and if she had 'any images she was willing to share'.
The woman asked what he was referring to, and Davidson replied: 'You know' along with a winking face emoji.
Mr Gordon said: 'The complainer sent seven images of her fully dressed daughter and the accused replied, asking for more images of the baby wearing fewer clothes.
'The complainer was concerned, however and thought the accused perhaps had meant to ask for intimate images of herself rather than the baby.
'When asked to clarify, he confirmed it was photos of the baby with fewer clothes that he wanted.
'When asked why, [he] responded 'it's kinda hot x'.'
The woman, feeling 'disgusted and scared' at the request, took screenshots of the conversations and reported the matter to the police, Mr Gordon said.
The court heard that police searched Davidson's Forbes Street address a few months later and seized a mobile phone.
Davidson refused to tell polid3 the password, but on it they found images and videos of girls as young as six engaged in sexual activity with adult males.
Four accessible images and six videos with a total running time of just under four minutes were found and classified as the most serious category of child abuse material.
Davidson pled guilty to repeatedly sending messages requesting images of a child in various states of undress and possessing of indecent images of children.
Speaking on his behalf, Gregor Kelly said his client has a previous conviction of domestic abuse.
He said: 'It related to a previous girlfriend, who he had locked in his flat and refused to let her leave until they had a full discussion about their relationship.
'That was in 2021.
'My client was still under 25 at the time of this offence and was clearly bored and impressionable.
'He got into the deep and dark world of Tinder, then chat rooms.
'He had gone down this sad and lonely channel where he then accessed this material.'
Mr Kelly said Davidson had been 'soul-searching' and was working on reducing his risk of reoffending.
However, Sheriff Ian Wallace told Davidson the court took a very disapproving view of such behaviour and told him only a custodial sentence would be appropriate.
The sheriff added: 'This was a very serious combination of offences.
'You asked for images of a child from her mother and were also found to be in possession of children engaged in sexual activity.'
He jailed Davidson for 16 months and imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
Davidson was also made subject to the Sex Offenders Notification Requirements for five years.
In the dock, Davidson appeared unsteady on his feet as he was handcuffed to one of the security guards.
As he was led away from court, fell to the ground as if fainting.

A 'cam girl' and her friend have avoided a prison sentence after they tried to extort £4,000 from a man to buy Christmas presents. Brooke Olsen, 32, and Louise Graham, 29, appeared outside the man's home and tried to kick the door down before hiding behind his bins at the back of his property in a sneaky attempt to get inside. Olsen and Graham – who the court was told both worked as escorts – repeatedly demanded he stump up thousands of pounds in cash or they would send men round to collect. Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard that following this, the pair appeared outside his home in Torry after sending a chilling message that stated: 'Get me my money'. In a final attempt to get him to pay up, Graham asked him: 'Do you want me to kill you?' Fiscal depute Emma Petersen told the court that at around 1am on December 17 2023, Louise Graham called the man and invited him around. Due to not knowing her very well, he refused and she terminated the call. A short time later, Brooke Olsen called him on Facebook with Louise Graham present and repeatedly demanded £4,000 from him. She said he owed her money, that she owed other people money, and needed money for Christmas presents. He advised that he had around £3,000 in his account and could help Olsen out if she was struggling financially. They made threats of violence towards him and he ended the call. Shortly before 5am, the man started to receive text messages from an unsaved number claiming to be from another male, stating that he would attend at the complainer's address to collect the money if he didn't hand it to Louise Graham. The man called the number, and it was answered by Louise Graham. Following that call, he received a message stating: 'Get me my money' At 8am, the man was still in his flat when he saw two people walking past his window and soon after heard a knock at his door and the sound of Brooke Olsen's voice. He told Olsen and Graham to leave and informed them he was calling the police. The pair responded to this by kicking and pushing at his front door, with the man having to stand against his door to stop the pair from gaining entry. A neighbour overheard banging and shouting in the communal hallway, which she described as sounding like someone trying to kick a door. The man called 999 and the accused left. However, soon after, he looked out of the window and saw Olsen and Graham hiding behind bins directly behind his property. As he opened his window to take a picture of them with his phone, they ran at him and tried to stop him closing it and tried to climb through the open window. The man managed to close the window, however, Olsen started to repeatedly kick it as Graham banged it with her fists. The court heard Graham stated: 'Do you want me to kill you? Do you want me to stab you?' While at the window the pair continued to demand £4,000 and remained there for a while before getting into a car driven by a male and driving off. In the dock, Olsen and Graham pleaded guilty to one count of threatening their victim with violence, sending threatening messages, and attempting to enter his property to rob him. Defence solicitor for Olsen, Alex Burn, told the court that his client had been 'foolish' to get involved in this incident, but admits her culpability and accepts behaving in a threatening manner. 'She did try to gain money', he said, adding that she had 'difficulties from a young age'. 'Ms Olsen has worked as an escort in the past and sometimes works as a cam girl,' he added. Louise Graham's solicitor, Liam Mcallister said his client had experienced 'tragic life circumstances' that had resulted in her becoming addicted to illegal substances. 'She has had some harrowing trauma in her life, but she has turned things around in terms of substance misuse,' he said. Mr Mcallister added: 'I don't say that as an excuse for her actions, but it does perhaps explain why someone with no record of offending would get involved in such behaviour.' As an alternative to a prison sentence, Sheriff Ian Wallace made Olsen, of King Street, Inverurie, subject to a community payback order and ordered her to carry out 108 hours of unpaid work. He also made Graham subject to a community payback order with supervision and ordered her to carry out 198 hours of unpaid work as an alternative to a custodial sentence.

Former Aberdeen charity campaigner fined after racist rant at hotel receptionist
A former Labour MP candidate and Aberdeen community charity champion had admitted to racially abusing a hotel receptionist. Sumon Hoque, 42, flew into a rage with the African woman at The Rox Hotel in the city after she didn't give him a napkin. Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard Hoque – who was dropped by the Labour Party a decade ago when he was convicted of drink-driving – told the woman 'go back to your own country' during the racist rant. Hoque, who also has previous convictions for abusive behaviour and was commended for his charity work with Aberdeen Muslims in 2021, admitted one charge of racial abuse. He is no longer associated with that charity. Fiscal Lindsay Shields said Hoque was known to the staff at the hotel, as he was living there at the time, October 30 last year. Hoque had been using a microwave in the reception area when his outburst occurred. Mr Shields said: 'The female receptionist was checking another guest into the hotel when Hoque approached her, asking for a napkin. 'She told him she did not have any and he became verbally abusive – shouting and swearing at her. 'He said she was 'useless at your job' and told her 'nobody likes you here'.' The court was told Hoque then told the woman to 'go back to your own country' and 'go back to Mozambique', Mr Shields added. The fiscal said Hoque was 'pacing back and forth in front of the reception desk' and the woman was frightened for the safety of not only herself, but the other hotel guests too. Hoque pleaded guilty to acting in a manner which was racially aggravated, repeatedly shouting, swearing and being aggressive, whilst uttering racially offensive remarks towards the female. Speaking on his behalf, John McLeod said his client accepted full responsibility for his behaviour, after a phone recording of the incident was disclosed as evidence. Mr McLeod said Hoque was now living and working in Bolton and was able to pay a financial penalty. Sheriff Graham Buchanan said he would impose a fine, as there may be difficulty in imposing and enforcing an order in England. Sheriff Buchanan did not read out the contents of Hoque's background report, but said: 'Your report has various things to say, but it does not amount to mitigation – although it gives an indication of your frame of mind. 'This was obviously quite an unpleasant incident, and I notice that you have previous convictions for abusive behaviour. 'So far as these circumstances as concerned – a significant fine is required.' Hoque, of Bridgeman Street, Bolton, was fined £640 and ordered to repay it at £100 per month.
