Elon Musk's GrokAI accused of making Taylor swift nudes without any prompts; but why Donald Trump's new law against adult contempt may not be able to do anything
Elon Musk's chatbot Grok has once again landed in a controversy. Recently, Elon Musk announced that Grok Imagine an AI video editing tool is free for everyone. The announcement was made hours after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman launched the latest AI model — GPT-5. Now, Elon Musk's AI video tool — Grok Imagine is facing backlash after multiple reports revealed that it generated explicit deepfake videos of Taylor Swift—without users requesting sexual content. As reported by Verge, the controversy started when a tech journalist Jess Weatherbed started testing Grok's 'Spicy Mode' and to his surprise he notice uncensored, topless clips of Swift, despite entering a harmless prompt: 'Taylor Swift celebrating Coachella with the boys'.
'uncensored, topless clips of Swift, despite entering a harmless prompt: 'Taylor Swift celebrating Coachella with the boys'. The incident has once again started the discussion around concerns over non-consensual AI-generated content, especially targeting female celebrities.
Grok's 'Spicy Mode' sparks outage
Part of Musk's xAI Suite, Grok Image enable users to create images and then convert them into videos with the help of four presets: 'Custom,' 'Normal,' 'Fun,' and 'Spicy.' The company claims that the tool has blocked inappropriate outputs for children, it defaulted to sexualized portrayals of women, including Swift, Sydney Sweeney, and Scarlett Johansson. As reported by Verge, the tool however refused to generate similar content for male celebrities raising questions of gender bias.
Why Donald Trump's new law against adult contempt may not apply
US President Donald Trump recently passed the Adult Contempt and Exploitation Act which aims to crack down on pornographic deepfakes. However, the law may not enforce in the case of Grok Imagine. The law passed by the US government focuses in explicit content created with malicious intent or direct prompts, but Grok's outputs were generated through preset selections, not explicit user instructions.

As reported by Verge, some of the legal experts also argue that platform like Grok Image have to come up with robust age verification and explicit consent filters in order to avoid such incidents. In the UK, new online safety laws mandate 'technically accurate' age checks, but Grok reportedly only asks for a birthdate—without verification.
What xAI said about Grok Imagine's creating deepfakes
xAI has responded to the issue and has said that they are 'enhancing safeguards' and prioritizing ethical use of AI. However, critics argue that the company should have removed the 'Spicy Mode' entirely, especially after similar deepfake scandals involving Swift flooded X last year.

$165,000 tech dreams shatter as job market tanks — Computer Science grads now serving at Chipotle
Fresh computer science graduates , who were promised $165K salaries and limitless opportunities, are now facing mass layoffs, AI competition, and ghosted job applications. Many people are turning to the service industry while looking for dwindling tech jobs, revealing a stark shift in a job market that used to guarantee high pay and security. There was a time when "learn to code" seemed like a golden ticket. Today, many new computer science graduates see it as a ticket to nowhere. With layoffs sweeping the tech industry and AI replacing entry-level coders, some are trading laptops for aprons and it's breaking their spirits. The offer was too good to pass up: get a degree in computer science, work hard, and you could get a job with a six-figure salary, great benefits, and a career that would last forever, as per a report by The NY Times. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Undo ALSO READ: Orca attack mystery: What really happened to marine trainer Jessica Radcliffe But that dream has died for today's new graduates. Live Events Why are new grads suddenly losing tech jobs? The job market is unlike anything we've seen in over ten years for the class of 2024. Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and Intel are just a few of the big companies that have cut thousands of jobs. AI programming assistants can also make whole codebases in seconds, so many companies no longer need teams of junior developers, as per a report by The NY Times. Manasi Mishra, 21, grew up in San Ramon, California. She made her first website in elementary school and has always been interested in computer science. She graduated from Purdue in May, but she didn't get any job offers. The only thing she got was an interview with Chipotle. Not just her. According to data from the Federal Reserve, the unemployment rate for recent computer science graduates has risen to over 6%, which is twice as high as the rate for some liberal arts majors. It's a shocking change for a field that used to be full of job offers, as per a report by The NY Times. ALSO READ: What's coming in iPhone 17? Rumors suggest Apple's most ambitious update ever How is AI changing the way people get hired at the entry level? Many junior jobs are quietly going away because of AI tools like CodeRabbit and GitHub Copilot. Matthew Martin, a senior economist at Oxford Economics, says, "The jobs that are most likely to be automated are the ones that recent grads want." Algorithms are now often used to help with the hiring process. AI scans resumes, ranks them, and rejects most of them in minutes. Many applicants never talk to a person. Audrey Roller, who just graduated, said she got one rejection just three minutes after she applied. The end result? A loop that makes you feel bad. Graduates use AI tools to apply faster, companies use AI to sort through applications faster, and people get lost in the process. What will the class of 2024 do next in tech? Some, like Zach Taylor, a graduate of Oregon State, are never-ending. He has applied for more than 5,700 tech jobs and hasn't gotten any. Some are changing direction. After almost getting hit by a car while eating at Chipotle, Mishra realized she liked tech marketing more than just coding. She sent in an application for a sales job at a tech company without knowing anyone there, and she finally got the job, as per a report by The NY Times. At the same time, leaders in the industry are changing their pep talks from "learn to code" to "learn AI." Microsoft has promised billions of dollars for AI training, and policymakers are trying to figure out how to get students ready for an industry that changes faster than any syllabus can keep up. The story of America's newest computer science graduates is a sad one: the time when they could be sure of getting high-paying tech jobs is over. And while some will change, a lot of people are finding out that a degree in coding doesn't guarantee a good job in 2024, as per a report by The NY Times. FAQs Why are so many new computer science graduates struggling to find work? Layoffs at major tech firms, combined with AI tools that automate coding tasks, have sharply reduced entry-level opportunities. Are some CS grads really applying for fast-food jobs? Yes, some have applied to restaurants like Chipotle or McDonald's just to cover expenses while waiting for tech openings.

Kylie Kelce opens up about why her four daughters have never been in the crowd for Travis Kelce's games
Kylie Kelce opens up about why her four daughters have never been in the crowd for Travis Kelce's games (Image via Getty) Kylie Kelce, wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, has revealed the very practical reason her daughters have never watched their uncle, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce , play in person. Speaking to PEOPLE on August 11, 2025, Kylie Kelce explained that the Kelce kids, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley are big supporters of Uncle Trav but usually do it from home. While the family often travels to Kansas City, the girls' schedule comes first. For Kylie, being a mom to four young children means late-night football games just aren't realistic right now, no matter how much they love the sport. Kylie Kelce explains why her daughters haven't attended Travis Kelce's games Kylie Kelce told PEOPLE that her daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and baby Finnley, have not been able to attend any of Travis's NFL games so far. Most of the chances they had were for Monday Night Football, which usually starts around 8:00 p.m. She explained that keeping small children out that late 'is not conducive to a 5, 4, and 2-year-old.' Even last year, she recalled, there were 'two different Monday Night Football opportunities,' but she chose to keep the girls' bedtime routine. Kylie Kelce is hoping that this season they can make it to 1:00 p.m. Sunday game, which would be much easier for the family. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like She Mixed Pink Salt With This - Now She Can't Stop Losing Weight Break The Weight Learn More Undo Also Read: Kylie Kelce Opens Up On How She Overcame Fear To Create A Podcast That Beat Joe Rogan In The Charts Kylie Kelce on cheering for Travis Kelce and new Dove project Even if they can't be in the stadium, Kylie Kelce said the whole family is always cheering for Travis Kelce, who is entering his 13th season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
