For Shaw, this will be his first assignment since moving from Mumbai to Maharashtra ahead of the season. The 25-year-old will be looking for a fresh start after a difficult previous season with Mumbai, where he was dropped over concerns related to fitness and discipline.
Gaikwad, who recently featured in the warm-up games between India A and India ahead of the national team's Test series in England, will also aim to make an impact.
