The four-time champion will officially start an unprecedented 23rd season in the NBA when he takes the court against the
Golden State Warriors
on October 21. This will make him the player with the longest stay in NBA history.

He has more time on an NBA court than any other player in history, even though he won't formally become the NBA's longest-serving player until October. He set a league record with 71,104 career minutes played in 1,854 regular and postseason games.

According to the NBA Communications ' account:
'Lakers forward LeBron James is scheduled to begin his 23rd NBA season on opening night,' NBA Communications wrote Tuesday. 'He is set to pass Vince Carter for the most seasons played in league history.'
The four-time NBA champion will have plenty of success on the court if his 23rd season is anything like his 22nd. Although the legend's actual length of stay in the league has not been revealed, it is unlikely that he will surpass 25 seasons.
