Watch: First look of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan's directorial debut revealed

Netflix has finally released the first look of Aryan Khan's 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'. Megastar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's directorial debut promises to deliver on everything Bollywood fans love — drama, romance, and action — but with a twist. The sneak peek begins with glimpses of a couple in love, paired with a voiceover of a famous dialogue from the movie Mohabbatein (staring Shah Rukh Khan). In fact, when the voiceover starts, you are almost convinced that it is Shah Rukh Khan himself speaking. But a few seconds in, there is a plot twist. Aryan Khan appears on screen, revealing that it is him doing the voiceover, and no, we are not in for another cosy romance. This show will be different — and darker. As a press release by Netlix says, "The first glimpse signals a generational shift, where the romance of the past meets the vision of a new storyteller." Watch the video here: Khan assures us as viewers that the show is about Bollywood, as the name suggests, but this is no cushy homage. This series is set to explore the dark and twisted sides of the glitz and glamour we see on the screen. As the director says, the show will toast Bollywood, but roast it too. The comments are full of anticipation and excitement, with many fans revealing their surprise at how similar the father-and-son pair sounds. The Netflix show, produced by Gauri Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment, will see a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli and Gautami Kapoor. The release date of the series has not yet been confirmed. In a YouTube comment, Netflix revealed that this is video is but a teaser. The real trailer is set to be revealed on August 20, so mark your calendars!

Who is Moosa Mostafa, British actor of Arab descent and star of Netflix's Wednesday?

Wednesday has just returned for its second season – topping Netflix's global top 10 series charts since its August 6 release – and among its returning cast is Moosa Mostafa, the British actor of Arab heritage who plays Eugene Ottinger. Mostafa, 17, from Leamington Spa, central England, has become a fan favourite thanks to Ottinger's bright, good-natured personality, which stands in stark contrast to the show's darker themes. But behind the scenes, Mostafa has been balancing the demands of starring in one of Netflix's most popular series with the everyday pressures of schoolwork and exams. Early life and career Born on February 25, 2008, Mostafa attends Warwick Boys School. His mother, Rima, has supported his acting career from the start. Some reports suggest his parents are Egyptian and lived in Dubai before moving to the UK. His first screen role came in the 2018 festive comedy Nativity Rocks!. Still at school, he was spotted by Netflix casting directors during auditions for the sci-fi series The Last Bus, a role that eventually led to him being cast in Wednesday. 'It was insane – all of a sudden you're flying to Romania for seven months to work with Tim Burton,' he told BBC CWR. 'I was like, where's this even come from?' He was 13 during the filming of Wednesday 's first season, making him the youngest cast member by several years. 'Everyone was at least five years older than me, but I was just hanging out with them all. So now we're just a group of friends who happen to work together,' he said. What is Wednesday? Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and produced by Tim Burton, the show follows Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) during her time at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts. Mixing gothic mystery, teenage relationships and dark humour, the first season broke Netflix viewership records in 2022. Season two, filmed in Dublin, brings new characters – including Steve Buscemi as Nevermore's principal Barry Dort – and has already been renewed for a third season. Who is Eugene Ottinger? Ottinger is a Nevermore student and president of the school's beekeeping club. He is one of Wednesday's few close friends. Mostafa describes his character as a contrast to the tone of the series. 'He's very fun to play,' he told the BBC. 'He's the juxtaposition to a lot of what else happens in the show. He's very cheery and bright compared to the dark sad themes and melancholy stuff going on. I think it's nice that on screen he has a contrast to Wednesday, specifically, so it's really fun to play that with Jenna.' Balancing act Filming for season two took place during Mostafa's GCSE exams in 2024. Delays to the filming schedule meant he travelled frequently between Ireland and Warwickshire. He often revised for exams in hotel rooms. Mostafa said Buscemi offered him encouragement with his studies. 'Before the exams he was telling me, 'Make sure you do those past papers.' And he tried to give me revision tests,' Mostafa said. 'It was his own little way. The cast were very close.' His mother praised her son for coping with the challenging schedule. 'It wasn't quite what we anticipated, but we rolled with it and Moosa managed it really well," she said. He's learnt a lot about managing work-life balance, and I think he's hugely matured and learnt these life skills at a much younger age than a lot of his peers would get a chance to. That in itself has been really admirable, so we're really proud of him.' Mostafa added that returning to Leamington Spa between filming helped him to stay grounded. 'I still get the perfect amount of normality from my friends, despite all the craziness,' he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez reveal engagement with giant oval diamond ring

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have announced their engagement after dating for eight years. On Monday, Rodríguez, 31, posted an Instagram photo of a giant oval engagement ring with what appears to be the Portuguese soccer star's hand in the background. 'Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,' she wrote in a translated caption. The couple first revealed their relationship in 2017 after appearing together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich, Switzerland, before posting each other on social media for the first time later that year. In June 2017, they welcomed their first set of twins, Eva Maria and Mateo, 8, via surrogate, and then welcomed their daughter Alana, 7, in November 2017. Ronaldo also has a 15-year-old son, Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship. Georgina Rodriguez shows off her giant oval diamond ring. A few years later, the model and the soccer player announced the death of their twin son, Ángel, in April 2022, as they revealed that their twin daughter, Bella, 3, had been born. Ronaldo and Rodríguez shared the news of their son's passing in a joint social media post at the time. 'It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,' they wrote. 'Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.' The couple also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and medical staff for 'all their expert care and support.' 'We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time,' they wrote. 'Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.' Days later, Ronaldo took to Instagram to thank his peers for their support and revealed that his then-newborn daughter was out of the hospital. In his post, he also shared a photo of his family, which included his three other children. Rodríguez further reflected on that moment during season two of her Netflix series, I Am Georgina in 2023. 'Over 40 million people follow me, but no one knows how I really feel. This year, I had the best and the worst moment of my life in an instant,' she said in a teaser for the new season at the time. The clip went on to show a video of Rodríguez and Ronaldo holding their twin's sonogram, before showcasing photos of the couple holding their then-newborn twin daughter. Rodríguez then tearfully explained how the soccer star helped her overcome her grief and encouraged her to keep moving forward. 'Life is hard. Life goes on,' she said. 'Life goes on. I have reasons to move on and be strong. Cris really encouraged me to continue with my agenda. He said, 'Gio, get on with life. It'll do you good.'' The influencer expressed her gratitude for her loved ones, adding: 'My priority right now is my family and my children. I'm so happy and thankful.' The Independent
