It probably isn't fair, but that interception is all that fans want to focus on. Entering a year where fans are still waiting for the big breakout, his mistakes get more attention than the fact that he had the offense rolling. His throws to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride were great. He was under control. He was confident. He made a preseason mistake, but that still has Cardinals fans staring him down.
RB DeeJay Dallas
Jonathan Gannon calls Dallas one of the "war daddies" in the locker room, and he is an established special teams player and returner in the league. However, he fumbled a kickoff and muffed a punt. He can't afford more of that. Zonovan "Bam" Knight might be real competition in the return game. Knight was an elite returner in college.
WR Greg Dortch
Dortch probably isn't going anywhere, but he fumbled the opening kickoff and has seen his role diminish to WR4 with the emergence of Zay Jones and with the increased usage of Michael Wilson in the slot. He had two catches in the game, but if Xavier Weaver can keep taking advantage of his opportunities, he might be able to replace Dortch.

Detroit cornerback Morice Norris returned to the Lions' facility two days after he was hospitalized in Atlanta after suffering an injury in a preseason game that required him to be taken off the field in an ambulance, the Associated Press reported Sunday. Rather than continuing to play, the Lions and Falcons let the clock run before officials eventually announced the game was suspended with 6:31 remaining. The Lions announced late Friday night Norris was in stable condition with "feeling and movement in all his extremities." Norris, who signed with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State last year, went down on the first play of the exhibition's fourth quarter. While making a tackle, the second-year corner's head appeared to hit the leg of Falcons running back Nathan Carter. After receiving about 20 minutes of medical staff attention, which concluded with Norris being put on a backboard — with his head and neck braced — he was evacuated to an Atlanta hospital. When the clock started running again, players on the Falcons' offense and Lions' defense gathered in a circle, hand-in-hand with their heads bowed. At the time the game was called, the Lions led, 17-10. But that was on no one's mind. "Something like that happens, it puts things in perspective," Lions head coach Dan Campbell said postgame. Campbell noted he and Falcons head coach Raheem Morris agreed it didn't feel right to finish the game. Norris' social-media activity Saturday morning is a welcome sight, as is the ongoing support he receives around the league and from fans everywhere.
