Shubhangi Atre gained widespread recognition for playing the role of Angoori Bhabhi in the popular show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. Recently, the actress, during an interview, opened up about her personal life, highlighting the challenges she faced early in her marriage and the difficult choices she had to make for her and her daughter's well-being.
During a conversation with Sidharth Kanan, the actress said, 'I got married pretty young. It was a love marriage. My baby was also born early. It was a blessing at the time, as God had intended. Now I'm comfortable and relaxed, and my daughter is studying abroad."
Reflecting on the early days, she stated, 'I knew very early that I needed to work. After 7 days of marriage, I was giving an interview at a laser cosmetics clinic. There were financial constraints."
Shubhangi got married in 2003 at the age of 20 and welcomed her daughter, Ashi, when she was 21. Her then-husband, Piyush, worked in marketing and sales. They had known each other through family gatherings. However, the couple got separated after 17 years of marriage and finalised their divorce in February this year.
Furthermore, she recalled why she decided to marry Piyush and said, 'I received a marriage proposal at the time, and I married Piyush to avoid the situation. A known demon is better than an unfamiliar one. Twenty is not an optimal age for marriage. I married a friend."
Earlier, Shubhangi faced criticism for her separation from Priyush, after his sudden demise. Reacting to the comments, she told ETimes, 'People were quick to pass judgment without fully understanding the situation. They assumed I left him because I was successful, but this was incorrect. His alcohol addiction took a toll on our lives. I tried everything, including sending him to rehab. It wasn't impulsive. Things started to go downhill around 2018–2019. I had to prioritize Ashi's well-being."
Her daughter, Ashi, is residing in the United States where she is pursuing her education in Astrophysics. Shubhangi has also appeared in shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasturi, Karam Apnaa Apna, Kumkum- Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, Chidiya Ghar and Do Hanso Ka Joda among others. Shreyanka Mazumdar

Filmmaker Mohit Suri Celebrates Saiyaara Success With Food Distribution Drive
Last Updated: Mohit Suri's film Saiyaara, marking Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's debuts, has grossed over Rs 300 crore globally. Suri celebrated with a food drive in Mumbai. Saiyaara Movie: Following the mega success of his latest directorial, filmmaker Mohit Suri took the opportunity to celebrate in a meaningful way — by organising a food distribution drive. The film marked both Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Bollywood debuts. Saiyaara has been garnering praise for its fresh pairing, soulful music, and emotional storytelling. With audiences connecting deeply with the film's narrative, Saiyaara has enjoyed a successful opening and steady word-of-mouth traction — a win not only for the stars but for the entire team behind it. To mark the film's growing success, Suri was organised a food distribution drive in Mumbai. Here is the video: Mohit Suri, in a recently interview, revealed that Ahaan Panday has a 'chapri' side that went unexplored in Saiyaara due to the script's demands. In a conversation with Komal Nahta, Mohit Suri said that Ahaan is a true 'TikToker' who 'dances for the front benchers' in Gaiety Galaxy. Mohit Suri said, 'He has a whole different side—the way he dances, he's a gallery man! He dances for the front benchers. Aapne woh videos dekhe nahi hai jo usne pull down kar diye. TikToker hai yeh ladka. Full chapri hai. He's a full, out-there, galleried, Gaiety Galaxy boy jo Bandra mein hai (You haven't seen the videos he deleted—this guy is a total TikToker! He's a loud, energetic, over-the-top Gaiety Galaxy boy from Bandra)." The filmmaker recalled an anecdote, 'Mujhe yaad hai, 30th day of shooting par, jab 50 per cent shoot ho chuki thi, he suddenly turns to our creative producer and says, 'Sumanna, maine kya kiya tha audition mein? Aisa toh koi audition diya hi nahi tha maine. Mujhe bola gaya tha, you are the right one (I remember on the 30th day of shooting, when half the film was done, he turned to our creative producer and said, 'Sumanna, what did I even do in the audition? I didn't give a big performance. I was just told I'm the right one)." Meanwhile, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down. The film, which released on July 18, has crossed Rs 300 crore globally. It continues to set the cash registers ringing despite competition from recently-released Hindi and South films.
