Michigan State football lands commitment from 4-star offensive tackle

Michigan State football lands commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Michigan State football has just cashed in and earned the 11th commitment of their 2026 recruiting class, this time, gaining the commitment of a 4-star product that was atop their big board. The Spartans have just earned the commitment of 4-star offensive tackle Collin Campbell. A 6-foot-7, 280 pound offensive tackle, Campbell is a prototypical offensive lineman that projects to be one of the biggest pieces in MSU's 2026 recruiting class. According to On3's rankings, Campbell ranks as the No. 183 overall recruit, while also being the No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class. He also ranks as a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings. A native of Gilbert, Arizona, Campbell is a standout at Williams Field High School, where he is playing for his father and is gearing up to be a standout at the next level. The 11th Spartan commit, Campbell joins Eli Bickel as an offensive lineman in the class, joining Kayd Coffman, Braylon Hodge, Cory House, Eddie Whiting, KJ Deriso, Brayden Thomas, Joey Caudill, Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy and Christopher Knauls, who are all a part of the Spartans class. 2026 4-star ATH will take OV to Texas instead of Texas A&M on June 20

2026 4-star ATH will take OV to Texas instead of Texas A&M on June 20 Four-star ATH Paris Melvin from Cypress (Texas) Cypress Springs has switched his Texas A&M visit for Texas on the June 20-22 weekend.@OB_JasonS — Adam Gorney (@adamgorney) June 12, 2025 The 2026 recruiting class is filled with elite talent at every position, and Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is close to landing several prospects in the coming weeks after hosting 18 prospects last weekend. This weekend, the Aggies will host 15 2026 prospects, headlined by the return of five-star DL/OL Lamar Brown. However, one of Texas A&M's future 2026 visitors, four-star athlete Paris Melvin Jr., has reportedly changed his mind regarding his official visit to College Station on June 20, as the Cy Springs (TX) native will now take an official visit to Texas on that day. This is quite surprising given Melvin's recent prediction to land with the Aggies. Still, just like five-star Edge Jamarion Carlton canceling his A&M OV, this is simply of the sporadic nature of recruiting. While this is certainly better news for Texas, Melvin is considering all his options; however, knowing that the Longhorns are now listed as his final visit of the summer likely puts them in the lead. On the field, Melvin can do it all, earning a 16-6A first-team selection as a defensive back and return specialist after his 2023 sophomore season. At the next level, Melvin will likely play cornerback for either team he chooses, as Texas or Texas A&M will take full advantage of his speed and athleticism, likely in the slot. According to 247Sports, Melvin is currently positioned as the 138th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 10th-ranked athlete, and the 20th-ranked prospect in Texas. Ohio 2026 tight end Preston Fryzel set to make official visit to Notre Dame

Ohio 2026 tight end Preston Fryzel set to make official visit to Notre Dame Notre Dame is set to host multiple tight ends on official visits in the coming weeks as it looks to bolster its 2026 recruiting class. Central Catholic (Toledo, OH) product Preston Fryzel will be visiting campus this Friday through Sunday. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder will be in South Bend for the second time since receiving a scholarship offer from the Fighting Irish May 21. Fryzel previously visited Notre Dame unofficially last Tuesday. In addition to ND, Fryzel also visited Miami unofficially earlier this month and officially visited Duke last weekend. He is also set to officially visit Iowa June 20 before making a decision on a school. Fryzel was a key piece in Central Catholic's march to the state title game last season. He earned all-state honorable mention from the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association after hauling in 43 catches for 807 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games. On3's Mike Singer has confidence that Notre Dame will land him, as he's put in a prediction for the Irish today (see below). Tight end has been a focus on the recruiting trail for the Irish. Fryzel is one of four tight ends still on ND's board. Waukee (Waukee, IA) four-star product Evan Jacobson recently rescheduled his official visit from June 20 to June 13, while Great Bend (Great Bend, KS) four-star Ian Premer and Lexington (Mansfield, OH) four-star Brayden Fogle are set for a midweek visits next week. Notre Dame does not currently have a tight end committed in its 2026 recruiting class.
