Samsung is tipped to expand its foldable portfolio with reports hinting at not two but four foldables in the pipeline. Alongside the expected Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, the tech giant may also introduce a triple-fold device—possibly called the Galaxy G Fold—and a budget-friendly Flip FE. . Samsung is also expected to keep pricing relatively modest, making the stylish clamshell more accessible to fans.
A recent report suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset—specifically, the overclocked 'for Galaxy' variant. Tipster @PandaFlashPro shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the device has already cleared all internal evaluations, including network performance tests, with this powerful processor under the hood. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also expected to run on the same chip.
While Samsung could have gone with its in-house Exynos 2500 for a more cost-effective approach, production limitations may have made that route unviable. As a result, the Snapdragon 8 Elite appears to be the chosen chipset for both of Samsung's next-gen foldables.
What else is on the horizon? The
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
is expected to bring subtle but meaningful upgrades to its design, starting with slightly larger displays. According to recent tips, the external cover screen is set to increase to 3.6 inches, while the main foldable display will measure 6.8 inches. These are modest bumps over the Z Flip 6's 3.4-inch cover screen and 6.7-inch inner display, hinting at a more immersive user experience without a drastic redesign.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also tipped to feature slightly revised dimensions, now reportedly measuring 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm, and 9.1mm thick when factoring in the camera bump. While the changes are subtle, they reflect Samsung's continued push for refinement in its foldable lineup.
In terms of cameras, Samsung is expected to retain the dual-lens setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Though the specs might sound familiar, both sensors are said to be upgraded versions, promising enhanced photo and video performance.
Under the hood, the Flip 7 will likely pack 12GB of RAM with storage options of 256GB and 512GB. Despite some design elements carrying over, several leaks suggest Samsung has addressed key pain points—most notably, the crease on the inner display, which is now rumoured to be far less visible than before.
What's up with Tri-Fold & Flip FE?
A fresh update from The Bell—a well-regarded South Korean outlet known for reliable tech scoops—has provided more clarity on Samsung's upcoming foldables. According to the report, Samsung Display has officially kicked off production of the screens for both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. These foldable OLED panels are said to be manufactured using a front-end process that closely mirrors that of traditional OLED displays, with only minor tweaks introduced in the final stages to accommodate their foldable nature.
Samsung Electronics is expected to kick off full-scale production of its upcoming foldables in May 2025, with a global launch—India included—set for the third quarter of the year.
Additionally, the much-anticipated

and the rumoured Galaxy Tri-Fold are now expected to debut in Q4 2025. These devices were initially planned for release alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 but seem to have been delayed.
