John makes a shocking accusation against Robert in early Emmerdale ITVX release

Metroa day ago
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) has targeted Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) again in Emmerdale only this time, he used a child in his harsh plan.
Robert was tasked with looking after his nephew Harry today because Victoria Sugden's (Isabel Hodgins) original plans for childcare had fallen through. He was very reluctant and told Vic he didn't really want to, because Harry doesn't know why his uncle Robert was in prison.
Vic reminded Robert that Harry is too young to understand this anyways. He managed a smile, and let Vic get ready for work.
In the café, Robert tried to connect with Harry, but it was clear looking after a small child was a skill he lacked.
They were visited by Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who wondered what they'd be up to today. Robert was keen for Aaron to hang out with them as well, but the arrival of John meant Aaron ignored any temptation.
As Robert left the table, John spoke to Harry and said that it would be a really good idea if he plays his new drum around Robert. John is completely aware that Robert is struggling after leaving prison, and knew the loud banging would irritate him.
Harry played the drum and the noise wound Robert up a lot. He shouted at Harry to stop and who arrived right on time to witness this? John, of course.
Harry ran to John and hugged him. He comforted the young lad and made out that he was terrified. Robert couldn't help but wonder if John was overreacting a little bit, and was certainly suspicious that his distant brother was there again.
John calmed Harry down and when he spoke to Robert, he suggested that his state of mind has made him unpredictable. John knew exactly what he was doing, and his words really touched a nerve. He told Robert that he needs to go back to work, but isn't sure if it would be safe to leave him alone with Harry.
Robert knows in his heart that he'd never hurt a child, let alone his little nephew, but doubt and worry had started to creep in because John reminded him of the time he punched Vic, and the recent ordeal that saw Robert put John in hospital.
Robert said that Harry would be fine, but he was on edge.
At the start of next week, Robert's fragile mind will leave him in an incredibly vulnerable state.
Robert snapping at Harry is excellent ammunition for John to go back to Victoria with tales of Robert's nasty behaviour to her son, and to reiterate to Aaron how bad a person Robert is.
Then John visits Robert to rub it in that he's probably lost both Victoria and Aaron.
Robert is in despair after this, and starts smashing up his room. Aaron hears this commotion and goes into the house, finding Robert apparently at the very end of his tether, a broken man.
Aaron comforts him and reassures him that the situation isn't as bad as he thinks and there's still hope. More Trending
Aaron admits that he has unresolved feelings for Robert, and that's why he's been pushing him away recently because he can't cope with how he feels. Overcome by emotion, the two men give in to their mutual feelings for each other and end up in bed together.

'It's kind of a take it as it is, just this moment kind of thing', Ryan Hawley said, discussing what Robert thinks of his moment with Aaron.
'And you know, they even say to each other, we don't want to think about any of that now, the circumstances that we've got is complicated. It is what it is right now, and then we'll see from there. It kind of leads into the next phase of the story.

Inside Jodie Whittaker's life off-screen as she stars in ITV's One Night

Jodie Whittaker's hit crime drama One Night is coming to UK TV screens, with the actress starring alongside Nicole da Silva and Yael Stone Jodie Whittaker's acclaimed crime drama One Night is set to hit ITV, with the Doctor Who star leading the cast alongside Nicole da Silva and Yael Stone. The six-part series initially premiered in Australia in 2023, but is now finally making its way to UK TV screens, with episodes scheduled for Saturday evenings on ITV1. ‌ This is just one of many roles in Jodie's impressive acting portfolio. From her ground-breaking role as the first-ever female Time Lord in the TARDIS, to her appearance in a cult classic sci-fi film featuring a Star Wars star, the actress has enjoyed a tremendously successful career across both television and film over the years. ‌ As we prepare to welcome her back to our screens, let's delve into Jodie's life off-camera.... ‌ Jodie's early life Born on June 17, 1982, Jodie hails from Skelmanthorpe in West Yorkshire. She is the only child of Yvonne and Adrian Whittaker, reports the Mirror. Jodie attended Scissett Middle School and Shelley High School, before pursuing her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She graduated in 2005 with an acting gold medal. During her appearance on Who Do You Think You Are? in 2020, Jodie delved deeper into her family history. She discovered that her great-grandfather Edwin Auckland and his siblings ran a mine, controversially keeping it open during the 1921 strike. This decision brought them financial wealth but made them highly unpopular in their local community. Career on stage and screen Jodie Whittaker has had a stellar acting career, starting in theatre in 2005 and making her film debut in the 2006 movie Venus. This role catapulted her to fame and earned her a nomination for a British Independent Film Award. ‌ Since then, Jodie has starred in films such as Attack the Block with Star Wars' John Boyega, St Trinian's, Journeyman, and Good Vibrations, among others. On the small screen, she is recognised for her role as Beth Latimer in Broadchurch, and has also featured in Black Mirror, Time, Toxic Town, and Marchlands. Her most significant television role came in 2017 when she was cast as The Doctor in Doctor Who, becoming the first woman ever to take on this iconic role. Jodie portrayed The Doctor until 2022, and made an unexpected cameo return earlier this year in the series 15 finale. Who is Jodie married to? ‌ Jodie is married to American actor and writer Christian Contreras. The pair met while studying at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating together in 2005. Jodie and Christian, originally from Tucson, tied the knot in December 2008 in a beautiful ceremony in Arizona. They now live in London with their two daughters, born in 2015 and 2022. Christian is a successful actor in his own right, with roles in Halo: Nightfall, Zero Dark Thirty, and American Odyssey. He and Jodie tend to keep their relationship away from the public eye. ‌ Speaking about her marriage previously, Jodie revealed: "He's from Tucson and I'm from Huddersfield. But I don't divulge stuff about him, because I don't think he'd appreciate it when he's not here to speak for himself. "We do get comments like, 'Where the hell did you two meet?' We're like an international couple." Family tragedy In July 2014, Jodie's family suffered a heartbreaking loss when her nephew Harry Whittaker died, aged just three years old. Harry, who had Down's Syndrome, had featured in ITV's Emmerdale as Leo Dingle. Reflecting on this in a 2013 interview, Jodie, a Mencap ambassador, said: "As proud aunty to Harry it has been fantastic to be able to help raise awareness for people with learning disabilities." She further added, "All we want is for Harry to grow up in a safe and unprejudiced society where people with Down's syndrome or any learning disability are given the support and care they need." One Night begins airing on ITV on Saturday, 17 August at 9.30pm

Realising their mistake, the photo was removed and reposted on the Corrie handle instead. The picture was of mechanic Abi, played by Sally Carman-Duttine, and her brother-in-law Carl (Jonathan Howard). The two characters are embroiled in an affair, but things could be about to change after they were captured on camera. Sally recently spoke about her character's dramas on the cobbles, including her secret fling with her brother-in-law. "It's complete lust at first sight," Sally told Ok!. "There's that undeniable chemistry – it's palpable. They just click. It was an instant attraction – they bounced off each other and it reignites something in Abi that's been dormant for ages. "She's an addict and this gives her a thrill. It's a different kind of thrill, but it's exhilarating for her." Meanwhile, in real life actress Sally is actually happily married to a fellow Corrie star. In the same interview, she opened up about why working with her husband on the soap is a nightmare. Watch the moment Coronation Street's Carl Webster makes a move on sister-in-law Abi Webster Sally married co-star Joe Duttine in 2022, who plays taxi boss Tim Metcalfe. But she said in a recent interview that she would happily never work with him again if she could help it. 'I'd be very happy never to have a scene with him ever again,' she joked. 'I love Joe to bits, but I don't like working with him – I'm never going to like working with him." Sally added: "Bless him, we've got very different work processes – let's just put it like that. I like to come fully prepared and he likes to flesh it out on the floor." "Also, he's very funny. I'm such a giggler and once I've gone, I'm gone. It's terrible and even if people get annoyed about it, it doesn't help." She continued: "He absolutely makes me howl with laughter and he does it on purpose. I get cross with him because he knows the situation, but he can't help himself.' Sally and Joe quickly fell in love after she first joined Corrie in 2017 and became engaged three years late. They finally tied the knot in 2022 after having to put their wedding on hold due to the pandemic.
