Eamonn Holmes has issued a health update after he took a tumble off his chair live on GB News - just weeks after he was hospitalised after a fall at home.
Eamonn Holmes has shared a poignant health update with his fans, following a recent on-air mishap where he fell off his chair during a live GB News broadcast. The veteran presenter, 65, was also hospitalised earlier this month after suffering a fall at home.
Taking to social media, Eamonn posted an image of himself looking robust and active from three years ago. The presenter said it 'made him sad' to see his decline as he told fans: "I could walk." In a bid to stay positive, Eamonn added: "Got to redouble my efforts."

Over the past year, following spinal surgery to address his chronic back pain caused by three slipped discs, Eamonn has been dedicated to his recovery process. This has led to him being seen using various mobility aids, including a walking aid and a wheelchair.

Audience worry escalated when, just last week, Eamonn experienced an accidental fall from his chair while presenting GB News Breakfast. The incident occurred on air while he and co-host Ellie Costello were focusing on their guest, pundit Charlie Rowley, reports the Mirror.
A sudden crash was audible, prompting Costello to exclaim "oh my gosh" as the incident unfolded out of view, and Holmes urged Rowley to "carry on" with the discussion. After a brief intermission, Holmes returned to the programme, quipping: "Welcome back. Good to see you again. Especially good for me to see you again. I am still alive, yes.

"And they're very wonky wheels on chairs that we've got here, and matter of fact, we don't really like the chairs full stop, do we? They're a bit slippy and slidey and I've slipped and slid off mine there.
"Not the first guest to have done so, we've had a few, they have to remain nameless because they're well known people, but they've hit the floor really badly, quite frightening.
"And it was a bit of a shock for me because I've had a fall in my bathroom two weeks ago, which hospitalised me, and that hit me again right in the back. (I'm) really, really sore. Really sore."

He later highlighted that the chair "gave way", leaving him flat on his back.
Following up, he commented: "As the morning goes on, you feel aches and pains. The worst thing about this, of course, this was at a time when I was hospitalised two weeks ago for a very similar fall in the same area, back of the head, my neck, my shoulders. So it all came back, as it were."

On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Rowley penned: "@EamonnHolmes YOU are the real hero for carrying on this morning. On May 2, in an Instagram post featuring a snapshot from inside an ambulance, Holmes expressed his gratitude to the crew who assisted him following a fall on his bathroom floor.
The former This Morning presenter has long grappled with health problems after dislodging discs in his back, which he previously mentioned had affected his sciatic nerve and impaired the mobility of his right leg.
He has openly discussed undergoing spinal surgery, a double hip replacement, and his difficulties with walking and using a mobility scooter. Last year, Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford announced their separation, having been married since 2010.
