Dakota Johnson Sees Your Boat and Tote—and Raises You a Personalized Celine Bag

Vogue15-07-2025
After embracing boho beachwear on a trip to Ibiza, Dakota Johnson has headed straight to Rome, where she traded her bikinis for summer-in-the-city staples as part of her European jaunt.
Today, the actor swanned around the Italian capital dressed in a cropped black racer back tank top and a white ankle-length skirt. Always an expert accessorizer, Johnson elevated her neutral look with some extra flourishes. It seems that she—like Margot Robbie—can't get enough of her Alaïa mesh flats, which she also wore for a Spanish seaside excursion earlier this month.

She added a touch of glamour with her jewelry—including a one-of-a-kind gold and emerald lariat necklace from New York jeweler Ophelia Eve—and a pair of gold-embellished cat-eye sunglasses. The actor clearly holds an affinity for one-of-one pieces, as evidenced by her bag. She carried a Celine Triomphe clutch monogrammed with her name in a cursive script. While the monogrammed L.L. Bean Boat and Tote is perfect for a beach day, Dakota Johnson's zip-up crossbody is far more appropriate for a day spent strolling around Rome. And—let's be honest—it's pretty fabulous, too.

"I hope he stops when I'm done eating my meal, because I'm eating my meal" - Charles Barkley had issues with Monaco royalty's dining protocols

"I hope he stops when I'm done eating my meal, because I'm eating my meal" - Charles Barkley had issues with Monaco royalty's dining protocols originally appeared on Basketball Network. The Dream Team that competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics was, without a shadow of a doubt, sports royalty. A group stacked with bona fide basketball legends such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, they were cheered and adored wherever they went. Despite their reputation as the kings of the court, their legendary titles seemed insignificant compared to those held by the princes who reigned over Monaco. And so, as the team prepared to have dinner with Prince Rainier and Prince Albert during their stay in the popular principality renowned as the playground of the ultra-rich and famous, the players were briefed on how to behave in the presence of royalty. This also included how and when to eat — something that Charles Barkley had an issue with. High-brow behavior Dealing with members of a royal family requires a certain level of etiquette and decorum, especially when it comes to dining. According to Kim Bohuny, the NBA's manager of international events, she briefed the players and coaches on the customs and expectations of dining with royalty. "We had dinner with Prince Rainier and Prince Albert. There's very strict protocol," Bohuny shared. "You know, you can't eat until Prince Rainier eats — things like that. We were reviewing it with the team beforehand, and I think it shocked some of our guys." While many understood what was expected of them, some, like Barkley and Karl Malone, were shocked. Craig Miller, Team USA Basketball's director of public relations, still remembers how the legendary forward reacted to the information he received. "They said if the prince puts his fork down and stops eating, you all better stop eating," Craig narrated. "And Charles said, 'Well, I hope he stops when I'm done eating my meal, because I'm eating my meal.'"Malone was equally shocked Bohuny was sharing all these in perfect English. However, she might as well have been speaking in a foreign language with how little things made sense, especially to those who grew up just sitting at the table and immediately chowing down after saying grace. One such player was Malone, who grew up in Summerfield, Louisiana — a community in northeast Claiborne Parish. "I'm from the country. Our etiquette is pretty much, 'Pass me the beans,' and we pass it down," he said. Malone didn't mean any disrespect to the established customs of fine dining, but it was simply how he was raised. Spoons, forks, plates — that's all there was to it. No fluff, no fancy words or complicated courses. Just good food and good company. "It took me a while to understand the rules. This glass was on this side, and this fork was for this…" he continued. "You know what? Let me eat. You're talking about a fish out of water — that's how I felt. I had a nice suit on, I guess." Considering the fact that there weren't any international incidents reported during the Dream Team's brief stay in Monaco, it's safe to say everyone managed to navigate the table settings just story was originally reported by Basketball Network on Aug 8, 2025, where it first appeared.

American Airlines announces new, daily European flight from this Florida airport in 2026

The summer's not over yet, but American Airlines is already preparing to help you plan next year's jet-setting vacation with six new and returning international flights, including one from Florida. Floridians wishing to enjoy the incredible fashion, art and architecture of northern Italy will be able to hop a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for daily service to Milan, starting in March, the company said in a release Aug. 7. The new service complements the flights to Rome that began this summer. American Airlines is also adding flights from Dallas-Fort Worth to Athens, Greece, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Zurich, Switzerland and flights from Philadelphia to Budapest, Hungary and Prague, Czech Republic. The Miami-Milan flight will be year-round, the airline said. The other new routes will be seasonal. 'Customers continue to tell us that Europe is where they want to go each summer and these new routes make it even easier to cross the Atlantic in 2026,' said Brian Znotins, American's Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. 'We are excited to grow our network to new destinations like Prague and Budapest and offer even more premium travel experiences on our flights to Tokyo.' Tickets will be available for purchase starting Aug. 11 at or through American's mobile app. What are the new American Airlines flights to Europe, South America? On Christmas Eve last year, American temporarily grounded all its flights due to a "technical issue." In January, an American Airlines flight — which was co-piloted by Jonathan Jay Campos of Ormond Beach — collided with a military helicopter over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., killing 67 people. In July, passengers aboard an American Airlines flight from Denver to Miami were forced to evacuate using the emergency slides after their aircraft experienced a mechanical issue during takeoff. A former American Airlines flight attendant was sentenced to nearly two decades in prison for secretly recording young girls in airport bathrooms. And in June, the Supreme Court declined to hear the airline's appeal after lower courts ruled against American Airlines' proposed merger with JetBlue Airways. Traffic at Miami International Airport has also declined in 2025, down an average of 1.4% compared to the first half of 2024, the Miami Herald reported. American Airlines is MIA's largest carrier. What Florida airports does American Airlines service? American Airlines serves several Florida airports, according to its website, including: Daytona Beach Destin-Fort Walton Beach Fort Lauderdale Fort Myers Gainesville Jacksonville Key West Melbourne Miami Orlando Panama City Pensacola Sarasota/Bradenton Tallahassee Tampa West Palm Beach This article originally appeared on Palm Beach Post: American Airlines announces 6 new European routes including Miami-Milan Solve the daily Crossword

Kate Hudson rocks bikini on adventure getaway with family in Colorado

Kate Hudson is enjoying some time away with her family. The 46-year-old "Almost Famous" star posted a series of photos on Instagram from her family vacation in Colorado, which included some familiar faces. One of the photos shows Kate giving the camera a smirk as she brushes her hair out of her face. In the photo, she's wearing a brown bikini top and holding a guitar. She captioned the post, "Soul reset." Also included in the carousel of photos were pictures of Kate with her famous family, including her mom, actress Goldie Hawn. In one photo, the mother-daughter duo poses for a photo with Kate's daughter, Rani Rose, and actress Dakota Johnson. "Kate, Goldie, Dakota all my favorite women!!!" one fan wrote in the comments section. Another added, "Is that Dakota in second picture?🤩." Other photos in the post showed Kate horseback riding with other friends and family members and photos of the surrounding beauty, prompting one follower to comment, "❤️ Beautiful country with great people ❤️." Hudson and Johnson were also recently spotted together soaking up the sun while on a yacht off the coast of Ibiza in July to celebrate the birthday of Naomi Campbell's partner, Mohammed Al Turki. Prior to that, Kate posted a series of photos from yet another family vacation in Greece, which featured more members of her famous family, including brothers Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell. When speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of her Netflix show, "Running Point," in February 2025, Kate shot down the notion her family could ever star in a reality show, bluntly saying, "It'll never happen." "Listen, my dad, he's just too cool. He'd rather just be in Colorado just being dad. … Snake Plissken doesn't do reality," Kate said, referencing stepdad Kurt Russell's character in the movies "Escape from New York" and "Escape from LA." Russell and Hawn began dating when Kate and Oliver were both young, and although the couple never married, he shares a close bond with them both. "Essentially, he raised me. … I'm the man I am today because of him," Oliver said on "Sibling Revelry," his podcast with Kate. "There was a moment when he asked us — myself and Kate — if we wanted to be adopted, and we said no. Not that we were, you know, very aware of probably what it even f---ing meant. … We just said, 'Well, we don't need it. The love is right there.' "At the same time, when you don't have your biological [father] around, it's hard to replace that, no matter what. The love was there with Kurt, no doubt about it. He is my dad. I call him Pa. But there was always, not something missing, but it was always sort of like, 'Wow, but there's that other side.'"
