And now it appears Sherrie's character Martha will fall prey to the son she has protected for years when she bows out in dramatic scenes later this year.
A source said: 'Sherrie's loved her time at Hollyoaks as Martha but she was only ever going to be in the show for a limited time.
'Martha's become an iconic character but the end is nigh for her as the show races towards its 30th anniversary later this year.
'There are lots of twists and turns to play out over the coming months but it's definitely going to be an exit to remember.'
And while it is bad news for Hollyoaks fans, it has sparked hopes that Sherrie will be returning to her iconic comedy role in Benidorm.
The star played Solana manageress Joyce Temple Savage in the ITV sitcom between 2012 and it's ending in 2018.
The Sun previously revealed how the show is in line for a comeback after ITV bosses approached creator Derren Litten about a revivial.
Sherrie said her own tour, An Evening With Sherrie Hewson: 'I do know ITV have got new scripts and they love them and think they are wonderful.'
She added: 'The problem with Benidorm is that it's probably one of the most expensive shows ever because it's in Spain, we have a Spanish crew, we have a British crew, so it costs a fortune to make.

'But it's on twice a day every day and those ratings are still as high as they ever were, so I think it will [return].
'And I think they [ITV bosses] love the scripts anyway and Derren said he laughed out loud when he wrote them so I don't think there's any question, it's just when.'

In another image, she could be seen sat barefooted on the grassy floor, flashing some thigh as she posed with it across her body. Alongside the post, Elizabeth penned: 'My patient boyfriend is attempting to teach me the guitar ❤️❤️❤️ (and yes, he's going to replace the missing string) ❤️❤️❤️' In a sweet gesture of encouragement, Billy posted in comments and on his own stories writing: 'My girl is getting good on that guitar. ❤️ Definitely doing my June. We be going to Jackson this fall!!!!' He then added: '@elizabethhurley is Hotter than a pepper sprout!' Famous friends flocked to Elizabeth's comment section, including her 23-year-old son Damian from a previous relationship, Lizzie Cundy and others writing: 'Aww love this ❤️❤️❤️' ... 'Love this ❤️' and 'It suits you so well' It comes after the country music singer has been writing 'sexy' love songs abouthis new lover. A source told the Daily Mail: 'His next album will include songs that are about Elizabeth for sure, he is definitely smitten with his new love and she has become his muse.' In her caption Elizabeth described Billy as 'patient' with her, whereas in a sweet gesture of encouragement, Billy said she was 'getting good' before adding that she was hotter than a pepper sprout 'Billy is always working on new music, but lately he has been doing even more love songs and it's clear why. He is very happy with Elizabeth, she is motivating him in a very big way. The songs are all about how she "heals" him and how sexy she is.' And the father of Miley Cyrus has also been teaching the Austin Powers actress how to sing like a Country Western songbird. The source added: 'He feels she can sing, that singing is in her future, and maybe even a duet with him.' The brunette beauty has sung in a movie before: with pal Patsy Kensit in the 1990 film Kill Cruise, where they performed the song You're Leaving Me. Hurley has appeared in music videos too. Cyrus and Hurley have become serious ever since they went public on Easter after many years of friendship. Billy has already praised Elizabeth as a 'great human being'. They met while filming 2022's Christmas In Paradise. In a clip from The Ty Bentli Show, Cyrus said: 'We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot. 'The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different. 'If all we ever were [is] the friends that we are, I would take that. She's so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman. 'If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.' While the pair met on the movie set, they didn't speak to each other for two years after shooting the film. But Elizabeth re-entered the crooner's life when he needed a friend, following his split from wife Firerose. He shared: 'I felt like, "Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?" For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment... a friend reached out.' Billy didn't recognise the number at first, so he texted Elizabeth back. He recalled: 'I text back, I go, "Who is this?" And it's like, "Elizabeth Hurley." Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most... this friend who made me laugh.' The Bedazzled star - - shocked fans when she announced she was dating the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker.

Emmerdale's Ben drops earth-shattering bombshell about Owen as John twist sealed

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed the moment removal man Ben makes a jaw-dropping admission to the police about Nate Robinson's presumed killer Owen amid John Sugden's lies New Emmerdale character Ben makes his return to the ITV soap next week leaving Nate Robinson's loved ones reeling. Fans may recall the character was the removal man who came to collect Nate's belongings from his wife Tracy Robinson, prior to Nate's death being announced. ‌ At the time Nate was believed to have moved away and cut off his family, sending removal guy Ben to get his things for him. Now knowing that Nate was murdered, it became apparent to the police that it could not have been Nate who did this, and was likely his killer. ‌ It comes after Nate's murderer John Sugden successfully framed a patient called Owen for the crime, leaving him to die after an apparent overdose all so he could make it look like Owen was the killer. Next week Ben shows up in the village leaving Tracy stunned, with her and Nate's loved ones keen to finally see whether or not Owen killed Nate. ‌ When an update sees the detective tell Nate's father Cain Dingle that there's been some new evidence, the arrival of Ben sparks more intrigue. Now a new preview has revealed the moment Ben is in the shop with Tracy and Cain, as well as Mackenzie Boyd. The detective on Nate's case is called there and approaches Ben asking him where he's been and why he hasn't come forward. He claims he's been away and hadn't heard about Nate's murder. It then comes out that Tracy has showed Ben a photo of Nate, and Ben is able to confirm it was not him that booked the service or who he met with to hand over the items. The police are keen for Ben to identity whoever it was, believing this will give away who killed Nate. As they open up a file, the show him a picture of Owen. Immediately Ben claims that Owen is the guy he met with and who asked for Nate's belongings, posing as Nate. With that it appears to confirm to the police and Tracy, and the others, that Owen had Nate's stuff removed, and that this likely means he killed Nate. But as a viewer, we know full well that this just isn't adding up, and there has to be something about newcomer Ben. ‌ If Ben literally met the person who wanted Nate's belongings, with him now claiming this was Owen, then he would know it was actually John or someone else. Given John had Nate's belongings and he burned them, and he organised the pick-up in the first place, Ben would know it wasn't Owen, the man in the photo. Owen did not kill Nate, fact, and he wasn't even in the village until months later. By the time Owen was on the scene, Ben had been and gone and Nate's death was exposed. So it can't have been Owen and we, the viewer, know that it wasn't as we saw the flashbacks proving John did it, and then we saw him burn the items too. So very clearly here Ben is lying to the police, but why? Unless of course Ben never actually saw anyone, John or not. But that said John wouldn't have known Owen back then to set him up, so there's just no way Ben has seen Owen, and therefore his identification to the police is false.
