Tina Fey & Charlie Brooker Join 50th Edinburgh TV Fest Lineup
Comedy icon Fey, star of 30 Rock and the creator of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and The Four Seasons, will chat with Irish TV Host Graham Norton on stage on the final day of the fest, which takes place next month. 'Fey brings her distinct charm, wit and insight to this lively conversation with beloved broadcaster Graham Norton,' Edinburgh said.

She joins a tranche of new speakers that include Black Mirror creator Brooker and UK super producer Stephen Lambert, whose credits include The Traitors, Gogglebox and Undercover Boss.
Meanwhile, the alternative MacTaggart will be delivered by comedian, writer and actor Munya Chawawa, who will 'make the case for why broadcasters underestimate digital creatives at their peril, and will issue a call to arms for creative risk.'
Fey brings a serious dose of star power to the UK's top TV confab. Already confirmed for this year's fest is Shonda Rhimes, who will receive an inaugural fellowship, and Lenny Henry, who takes the outstanding achievement award. The MacTaggart will be delivered by former BBC News boss James Harding.
Edinburgh has also unveiled a number of sessions that include Adolescence co-creator Jack Thorne speaking to Culture Minister Chris Bryant and a worldview address from Sony International boss Wayne Garvie. There will also be creative masterclasses on Adolescence, Last One Laughing UK and Rivals.

GenZers are trying out a new phone behavior and their older co-workers and employers are quite annoyed by it… Instead of answering a phone call with the typical and standard 'hello,' many in that generation just breathe into the phone and wait for the caller to say something first. And this isn't just anecdotal, a YouGov poll taken in the UK last year found that one in four Brits between 18 and 24-years-old think it is ok to answer a phone call without any form of greeting whatsoever. Only 27% of Millennials in that same survey feel it's acceptable to 'phone ghost.' My generation is a bit more socially adjusted, it seems! Now in their defense, GenZers who practice this weird phone faux pas say they do it to filter out robo and spam callers. I think this is a lame excuse. More accurately, Zoomers seem to find it more difficult to interact with others if not through text or a computer screen. Either way, they better get used to it! Several of his mixtapes have been re-released on various formats, and fans of the late hip-hop musician have shown their respect by not only streaming his collections, but purchasing them, especially on vinyl. One of Miller's decade-plus-old projects appears on several charts in the United Kingdom this week, and it helps him posthumously reach a notable milestone. I Love Life, Thank You Debuts on Multiple Charts I Love Life, Thank You launches on three rankings in the U.K. this frame, reaching all of them for the first time. The set opens at No. 36 on the Official Vinyl Albums chart and at No. 92 on the Official Physical Albums tally. Most impressively, I Love Life, Thank You starts its time on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart at No. 10. Mac Miller's Tenth Top 10 Album Miller earns his tenth top 10 hit on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart. Throughout his career — including the years following his unexpected death due to a drug overdose — the rapper has sent a dozen titles to the genre-specific list, with only two missing the highest tier. Among Miller's 10 top 10s on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums ranking is just a sole No. 1. He didn't reach the summit until January of this year, when Balloonerism, his most recent posthumous release, debuted in first place. Previously, several studio efforts by the talented musician — including Circles, Faces, and Watching Movies with the Sound Off — missed the throne by just one spot. ‘The Naked Gun' Review: Liam Neeson Is Leslie Nielsen's True Heir
A few things have changed since 'The Naked Gun' was unholstered in 1988: Ronald Reagan is no longer president, if someone calls you the GOAT you no longer want to punch him, and the movie's beloved supporting player O.J. Simpson is no longer alive, or even beliked. That loony spoof of '70s-style cop shows and its first sequel, 'The Naked Gun 2½,' are among the funniest movies ever made. The latest edition, also called 'The Naked Gun,' is a delayed sequel in which Liam Neeson takes on the deadpan duties of playing Frank Drebin Jr., son of Leslie Nielsen's lovable bumbler. Frank Sr. is back, too, although this time he's an owl. Mr. Neeson's picture isn't a hall-of-famer like the first two films; it's more like the lesser, third entry 'Naked Gun 33⅓'—wobbly here and there, but intermittently great. In these days when flat-out comedy features are scarce, it's one of the most welcome tenants at the summer multiplex. A mid-movie snowman gag puts the new one over the top, bestowing on it the honor of being mentionable alongside its predecessors. It sets the lunacy level to 'inspired.'
