'The Walking Dead' Star Kelley Mack Dies at 33, Family Confirms originally appeared on Parade.
Kelley Mack, who was best known for her work on The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33, her family confirmed.
Mack's family took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, August 5, to share the sad news of her death. "It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go," the statement began.
"Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies," the caption continued. "She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express."
After noting that there will be a celebration of life in her honor, the caption stated that "she would want you all to know how much she loves you."
"And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God," the post concluded. "I'm so f--king proud of her."
While Mack's cause of death wasn't confirmed, she announced that she had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in January. Following the announcement, she kept fans up to date about her health as she underwent treatment.

Shortly after Mack's family announced her passing, several of her former collaborators took to the comments section to express their condolences. Filmmaker Michael E Satrazemis wrote, 'I was lucky enough to create with Kelley on TWD. A bright light on every level. All my love to those who love her.'
TWD actor Gustavo Gomez, who played Marco, added, 'This is heartbreaking. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed. Your bright light will always shine on.'
Mack was best known for portraying Addy on the AMC show, while her other acting credits included appearances on 9-1-1 and Chicago Med.
