Saba Yemen06-07-2025
Rio de Janeiro – SABA:
Leaders of the BRICS nations, convening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, issued a strong call for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for further negotiations to end the ongoing war.
In their joint final communiqué, the BRICS leaders also:
Stressed the necessity of the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Condemned violations of international humanitarian and international law, including the use of starvation as a method of warfare in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas Responds
In a statement received by SABA News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) welcomed the BRICS declaration, saying:
'We commend the final statement of the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, especially its call for a ceasefire in Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation army, and its condemnation of war crimes and the use of starvation against civilians.'
Hamas further urged BRICS nations and the international community to:
Exert pressure on the Israeli government to comply with international law.
End the aggression and genocide against innocent civilians.
Lift the illegal siege imposed on over 2.25 million Palestinians in Gaza.
The summit is being held in Brazil over two days (Sunday and Monday) and brings together key member states — Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — alongside newly joined or participating countries in an expanded BRICS format. The war in Gaza has dominated much of the agenda amid growing global calls for accountability and an end to the Israeli assault.

Zionist forces bulldoze lands in Khirbet Ibziq as arrest campaigns escalate in West Bank

Tubas – Saba: Israeli occupation forces continued bulldozing Palestinian-owned lands in Khirbet Ibziq, north of Tubas governorate, for the second consecutive week, as part of efforts to construct a military road in the northern Jordan Valley. According to Abdulmajeed Khdeirat, head of the Ibziq Village Council, the bulldozers have focused their work on the western side of the village, near Raba, an area declared a 'military closure zone' by the occupation authorities. Palestinian citizens have been prohibited from accessing the targeted lands. Khdeirat warned that the bulldozing aims to tighten Israeli control over vital pastoral and agricultural lands, which are essential to local livelihoods. He also highlighted the grave environmental and humanitarian consequences of these actions. Khirbet Ibziq has long faced repeated violations by Israeli forces, including home demolitions, destruction of infrastructure, and harassment of farmers and shepherds, in what local residents describe as systematic attempts at forced displacement. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces intensified their arrest campaigns across the occupied West Bank. On Sunday evening, soldiers raided the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, where they assaulted and arrested a young man, Sami Ibrahim Daraghmeh, after beating him and his father. Sami reportedly suffered fractures and bruises before being detained. Elsewhere, in the town of Marka, south of Jenin Governorate, Israeli forces arrested Ali Nafi' Musa, head of the local village council, and his son Zuhair, after storming and ransacking their home. The raid was part of broader Israeli military operations across Jenin, now ongoing for 174 consecutive days. Local sources said Israeli troops deployed heavily throughout Marka's streets, launching a new wave of home raids and detentions—part of a wider pattern of aggression and daily violations in the region. Hamas delegation holds talks with Jihad delegation on latest developments in negotiations

Doha - Saba: A delegation from the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), headed by Mujahid Darwish "Abu Omar," head of the Leadership Council, held talks with a delegation from the Islamic Jihad Movement, headed by the movement's Secretary-General, Ziad al-Nakhala "Abu Tariq," on the latest developments in the ongoing negotiations. The movement said in a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Sunday: "The two delegations witnessed the enormous sacrifices of the Palestinian people and the human suffering resulting from the crime of genocide and starvation, as well as the daily scenes of massacres at the hands of the Zionist enemy, with the aim of implementing its malicious and dangerous plans against our people and their future." The movement added: "The two delegations also expressed their pride and admiration for the heroic performance of the Mujahideen, their courage, boldness, and daring, and the extent of the losses they inflict daily on the enemy's army." The two delegations discussed developments in the ongoing negotiations, stressing that "any negotiations must lead to the achievement of our people's goals and aspirations, foremost among which are an end to the war, the complete withdrawal of enemy forces, the opening of the crossings, and reconstruction." In this context, the two delegations discussed the Zionist enemy's responses to the proposals presented by the mediators to reach a ceasefire and ways to address them. Democratic Front condemns Netanyahu attempts to foil negotiations

Gaza - Saba: The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) condemned the attempts of the war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his partners in fascism and criminality, to push the indirect Doha negotiations to the brink of failure by sowing complications and mines in their path, preventing them from reaching consensus on the points of contention. In a statement issued Sunday and received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the DFLP also condemned "his attempts to push our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip toward starvation and displacement through acts of mass killing, to force our displaced families to flee and become unstable, leaving them in a state of displacement, loss of stability and livelihood, and suffering from hunger. This is all done with the aim of dragging the population south and confining them to a mass detention camp called the "Humanitarian City," as a prelude to their displacement outside the Gaza Strip." The DFLP called on "mediators to exert greater pressure on the Israeli negotiator to comply with solutions that pave the way for the complete withdrawal of enemy forces from the Gaza Strip and to close the way to the project of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and the mass displacement of our people from the Gaza Strip." The Democratic Front called on "national forces, social activists, and activists in the Gaza Strip to work diligently to provide everything possible to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and lift the heavy burden off their shoulders, enabling them to face the difficult moments of the negotiations. This is in the hope of breaking the enemy's stubbornness and intransigence, reaching a point that guarantees a ceasefire, providing humanitarian aid, and opening the way for an end to the war and the withdrawal of enemy forces."
