Inter Milan's season has now come to an end. They lost 0-2 against Brazilian side Fluminense in the round of sixteen of the Club World Cup.
This means that the Nerazzurri will not end the campaign with any silverware.
Inter Milan had their ups and downs in the group stage of the Club World Cup.
However, the knockouts simply proved to be a bridge too far for Cristian Chivu's team.
Fluminense went ahead within a couple minutes. Inter looked shellshocked, whether it was the result of the long season, the heat, or simply being overrun by an organized and determined Fluminense team.
Inter Milan huffed and puffed for the rest of the ninety minutes. They did carve out some good chances, even hitting the post twice.

But in the end the second goal of the match came from the Brazilian team, in stoppage time to seal the upset victory.
And after the match, Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez became visibly angry with many of his teammates.

How to watch Palmeiras vs Chelsea live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction
Chelsea and Palmeiras meet in Philadelphia on Friday in a tasty quarterfinal at the FIFA Club World Cup. MORE — Prize money list for Club World Cup Palmeiras have been very impressive with the Brazil giants keeping three clean sheets in their four games so far and they battled to victory against fellow Brazilians Botafogo to reach the quarterfinals. Their star young winger Estevao Willian will be joining Chelsea after the Club World Cup and is able to play against the Blues, so that is a storyline to keep on eye on. MORE — Club World Cup schedule, bracket After shock defeats for Inter Milan and Manchester City the bracket has opened up for Enzo Maresca's Chelsea and they are the favorites to reach the final. They dominated Benfica in the last 16, eventually winning 4-1 in extra time after a long weather delay enraged Chelsea's manager and players. Still, they're enjoying their Club World Cup experience so far and will fancy their chances of reaching the semifinal where they will face the winner of Fluminense vs Al Hilal. How to watch Palmeiras vs Chelsea live, stream link and start time Kick off time: 9pm ET Friday (July 4) Venue: Lincoln Financial Field — Philadelphia TV Channel/Streaming: Stream every game live on DAZN, for free Palmeiras team news, focus Gustavo Gomez will be unavailable after being sent off in extra time in the last 16 and losing one of their starting center backs is a blow. Palmeiras are solid and reliable and will be really tough for Chelsea to break down. Palmeiras have won the Brazilian Serie A in 2022 and 2023 and the Copa Libertadores in 2020 and 2021, and they're showing their pedigree as a team who are used to winning trophies. They will not be fazed by this occasion and their fans will once again turn out in huge numbers. Chelsea team news, focus Maresca will be without star central midfielder Moises Caicedo due to suspension and that is a massive loss. Caicedo has been exceptional in this tournament, and for most of the last 18 months, and it will be intriguing to see how Maresca lines the Blues up without the Ecuadorian enforcer. Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez will start in central midfield with Reece James perhaps joining them in midfield and Malo Gusto coming in at right back but tucking inside. Chelsea have looked really good in this tournament and have added extra wrinkles to their hybrid midfield and wing-back system. Liam Delap is likely to start up top once again and the duo of Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto look certain to start just behind him. Palmeiras vs Chelsea prediction This will be tight and tense and could go to extra time, but Chelsea's extra attacking options will be too much for Palmeiras to control. Palmeiras 1-2 Chelsea.

David Bakhtiari pokes fun at Aaron Rodgers's mystery wedding
David Bakhtiari could be heading to "The Island." Then again, maybe he's already there. On Monday, the former Packers tackle tweeted a video from the recent wedding of current Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Bakhtiari added this: "Just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding." Advertisement Love and Bakhtiari had limited time together. Bakhtiari started only one game in 2023, Love's first year as a starter and the left tackle's last year in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers and Bakhtiari had many years together with the Packers. Making the Bakhtiari remark even more interesting is the general haze of uncertainty surrounding the Rodgers wedding. Up to and including whether a wedding even happened. We know, we know. Rodgers doesn't want anyone to talk about his wedding. When you're one of the most famous players in the NFL, however, you don't get to dictate the terms of the attention you receive. Especially when you show up out of nowhere with a wedding ring. Before showing up without it. Before showing up with it prominently in the photo of you signing a contract with your new team. With Rodgers cloaking so much of his life in mystery, it's impossible to know when, where, or who he married. Or if he even is married. Advertisement Maybe the ring is a Costanza-style sociological experiment aimed at seeing whether women will hit on guys who wear wedding bands. Regardless, Bakhtiari went there. We don't know much, but we know Rodgers won't be happy about it.

Meanwhile, Chivu has decided to keep hold of Francesco Pio Esposito as another option in the attacking department. On the other hand, Mehdi Taremi is on his way out after a miserable season. Advertisement Taremi's exit could open the door for another striker. However, it would have to be someone with 'different characteristics.' Indeed, Inter would only add a fifth center-forward capable of covering other roles in the final third. Ideally, it would be someone similar to Joaquin Correa.
