Pat McAfee a fan of Dolphins' Darren Waller addition
The 32-year-old didn't play football last season and is coming out of retirement to join the Dolphins. But, Waller has played exceptional football throughout his NFL career.

Waller's best two seasons both came with the Raiders in 2019 and in 2020. The Georgia Tech alum caught 90 passes for 1,145 yards and three scores in 2019 and then notched 107 catches for 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020. It was in 2020 when Waller earned his lone Pro Bowl nod.
Miami's move for Waller came swiftly on the heels of the franchise dealing away tight end Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As the news of the Dolphins dealing for Waller made the rounds, ESPN's Pat McAfee praised the move by Miami.
"On the football field, when he was with Las Vegas and I believe before that, (Jon) Gruden pulled him up off of the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad. Jon Gruden, whenever the Raiders were taking on the Baltimore Ravens saw Darren Waller doing a workout pregame because he was on the practice squad and he said, 'What is that? I would like that.'

"Darren Waller would then become a Pro Bowler, All-Pro with the Raiders. Obviously, immensely athletic, incredibly talented. We've seen his life off the field a lot. We know a lot about Darren Waller. But, if (Mike) McDaniel can get the most out of Darren Waller, I think that type of offense suits well for Darren personally. Now, is he all the way back to being a guy? We shall see," McAfee said.

Fever defeat Wings in first pro meeting between Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers
Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers need no introductions. Their resumes and fame, built through their illustrious high school and college careers, precede them. The former quickly put the WNBA on notice last season. The latter has done the same in 2025. Sunday marked the first pro matchup between Clark and Bueckers, who last played each other when Clark's Iowa beat Bueckers' UConn in the 2024 Final Four. The league's last two No. 1 picks lived up to the hype at Gainbridge Fieldhouse just days before they're scheduled to share the same court again as All-Stars during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. Clark emerged from a recent shooting slump to lift the Indiana Fever to a 102-83 victory over the Dallas Wings, and Bueckers continued to build her case as rookie of the year. Advertisement The Fever used a 64-point first half, the most points they've scored in any half in the franchise's 26-year history, to earn their second straight victory. Clark was the orchestrator as the Fever tied their season high with 102 points. The two-time All-Star, who entered Sunday's contest averaging just 11.6 points and shooting 11.4 percent on 3s over her last five games, drilled her first 3-pointer and scored 7 points in the opening period. Palou wins seventh of season at IndyCar Farm to Finish 275
Spain's Alex Palou won the IndyCar Farm to Finish 275 to boost his season points lead, taking his seventh victory of the season (James Gilbert) Spain's Alex Palou held off Scott Dixon over the final laps to capture Sunday's IndyCar Farm to Finish 275, stretching his season points lead with his seventh win of the year. The pole-sitter and Indianapolis 500 champion collected his 18th career IndyCar triumph in 93 starts after 275 laps around the 0.894-mile (1.43km) Iowa Speedway oval. Advertisement "It has been an unbelievable day, unbelievable weekend but more than anything an incredible year for us," Palou said. "I cannot really believe it, honestly, and winning here is super special. I struggled on short ovals for so long. Super happy. Another win. Seven wins in one year. It's insane." It was only his second career oval triumph after winning at Indy in May. The event completed a double-header weekend in Newton, Iowa, with race one going to Mexico's Pato O'Ward on Saturday. New Zealand's Dixon finished second on Sunday followed by compatriot Marcus Armstrong, who matched his best career IndyCar finish, then American David Malukas and O'Ward. American Josef Newgarden, Saturday's runner-up and is a six-time race winner at Iowa, finished 10th after twice pitting with the lead only to have a caution flag moments later send him to the back of the lead lap. Newgarden went into the pits on lap 130 for fuel but moments later Sweden's Marcus Ericsson crashed in turn four, allowing rivals to make pit stops under caution as Newgarden cycled back. Palou returned to the track in the lead with Malukas second and O'Ward third at the restart with Newgarden 11th. Fast-charging Newgarden clawed his way back, passing Malukas with 40 laps remaining and overtaking Palou five laps later to reclaim the lead. Newgarden then pitted to refuel just as American Colton Herta crashed to bring out a caution flag with Palou pitting and staying in the lead and Newgarden fading to ninth. Palou sped away on a restart with 11 laps remaining and held off Dixon to the end. The next IndyCar race will be next Sunday at Toronto. js/bb
