Prince George's 'specific dietary request' sees Royal superyacht tender return to mainland
Young Prince George reportedly requested a 'specific dietary item' while sailing with his family between Greek islands Prince William and Kate Middleton's family holiday yachting in the idyllic Greek islands supposedly had an un-royal food request from Prince George. During the family's sailing holiday on a superyacht last month, the future king's eldest son reportedly had a specific dietary request from a particular restaurant on a Greek island. This very particular request was made as the royals left Kefalonia and were sailing south towards Zakynthos, before making a stop in the middle of the Ionian Sea. One of the tender boats was dispatched on a mission to pick up a meal possibly from a famous fast food restaurant for the young prince. It comes after Princess Charlotte sparks frenzy with behind-the-scenes photos from Lionesses' win. A member of the superyacht crew was reportedly dispatched out for a "specific dietary item" not available on the superyacht. A tight-lipped source revealed why one of the tender heads travelled back to the mainland, according to the MailOnline. They said: "George required a specific dietary item which led to the tender going ashore in Zakynthos to purchase it. Nothing extravagant, just something particular." This source did not reveal exactly what was picked up for the prince but Zakynthos is one of the few Greek islands to have a McDonald's on the mainland. The young royal could have ditched the luxury meals on the superyacht for a Big Mac or chicken nuggets and fries. While it is not clear what Prince George's specific request was, some of the royals have been known to enjoy some fast food favourites most people also dig into. Princess Diana was known to sometimes give Prince William and Prince Harry KFC and burgers when they were growing up. Some of Prince George's favourite meals have been revealed in the past, as celebrity chef Aldo Zilli let slip what the young royal's top dinner picks were after a chat with dad Prince William. Zilli shared: "[William's] amazing - I'm waiting for the call because apparently his little boy's favourite is spaghetti carbonara, so I'm waiting for the call to go and cook it for him." The chef added: "If George has my carbonara, he will never have another one, so I need to go and make it, let's get the ball rolling, send me to the palace to cook." It's not just spaghetti carbonara that tickles Prince George's taste buds, the Princess of Wales has said that he and Princess Charlotte enjoy making a 'cheesy pasta' together at home, reports the Express. In February 2019, Princess Kate, 42, visited a school in Enfield, north London, and spoke to Ivy Learning Trust's chief executive Matthew Kleiner-Mann. He said: "She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. "They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff."

I was set on a 3-course meal for our wedding but my KFC loving hubby won & we had a fast food buffet of fried chicken
Plus, the bride and groom who opted for Maccies on their big day PUT A WING ON IT I was set on a 3-course meal for our wedding but my KFC loving hubby won & we had a fast food buffet of fried chicken Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MANY brides and grooms spend hours choosing fancy food for their wedding guests. However, one couple ditched the formal flair for a 'Finger Lickin' Good' spread that was a whole lot cheaper - and apparently went down well with guests. Guests dined on chicken, fries, and even KFC's signature gravy, instead of the usual multi-course meal. In a video on her @moniquexxharris account, which has racked up over 1.3million views, Monique shared: 'Told my husband we were having a 3 course sit down meal for the wedding. 'He said 'nah I want KFC catering.' 'Anyway here's him with his KFC buffet because it's his wedding too.' Fair from being annoyed that she didn't get her way with the food, the bride said they had saved so much money in the process with the total coming to $800AU (£390). Monique added: 'Was way cheaper than getting it catered and everyone loved it. '$8AU (£3.89) per person compared to the $120 (£58) we kept getting quoted.' Many people clearly loved the informal and tasty idea, with the video racking up over 130,000 likes. One said: 'I'm showing this to my man he would LOVE THIS.' Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause says 'I do' to G-Flip for a fourth time in Medieval castle ceremony Another added: 'I'd be thrilled if I was at this wedding!!' Even KFC commented, saying: 'For better, or for buffet.' However, some people weren't sure about the idea of dishing out fast food as a main meal at a wedding. One wrote: 'cold dried up chicken and rock hard fries. should have went with the three course.' MACCIES MEAL We previously shared how a couple decided to arrange for 300 McDonald's cheeseburgers and 150 hamburgers to be delivered for their 450 guests as a late-night treat. And the couple clearly share the same down-to-earth food tastes, as they even chowed down on some burgers on their way to their ceremony earlier the same day. The cheeseburger acts as a romantic reminder for the pair, who shared their first meal together at McDonald's six years ago after they met clubbing with a mutual friend. The couple had spent time planning for the delivery of the burgers, which they knew their guests would love, ordering the £700 burgers one month in advance.

I tried McDonald's ‘weirdest' McFlurry yet that ‘tastes like Calpol'
McDonald's has launched its 'weirdest menu yet', and it includes a brand new McFlurry flavour that's causing quite the stir online. Alongside the return of fan favourites like The Big Tasty, Chicken Big Max and Spicy Chicken Nuggets, the fast food giant has introduced a controversial new dessert: the Jaffa Cakes McFlurry. And no, we're not talking about the cake vs biscuit debate. The £2.49 treat dropped on July 30 and has already divided social media users. Some customers have called it 'incredible' and say it's McDonald's most 'exciting new product'. Others, however, compare the flavour to kids' medicine, with one review claiming it 'tastes like Calpol'. Which could, arguably, be a positive or a negative. So, with no clear verdict out there, I had to try it myself. If you're someone who actively seeks out Jaffa Cakes in the supermarket, the new dessert is probably going to be up your street. It's a mixture of rich orange syrup with the classic vanilla biscuit base, covered with chocolate-covered shortcake pieces. But as someone who doesn't go out of their way to buy Jaffa Cakes, I found it a bit sickly. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the Calpol comparison – and I don't remember the sickly sweet medicine fondly. It's slightly overwhelming and a bit too artificial. That said, I do think it would have been better with actual chunks of Jaffa Cakes on top. Using shortbread biscuits seems a bit rogue, especially considering the aforementioned historical debate about whether Jaffa Cakes are biscuits or cakes. (They're cakes, by the way). Either way, I won't be ordering it again. I'll stick to a classic Smarties McFlurry next time. As part of its menu shake-up, McDonald's has also introduced fruity syrups to customise a standard Sprite Zero. These syrups are already available in US branches, but it's a first for the UK. Customers can now add a pump of Apple or Mango & Passionfruit syrup to their drink. I tried the Apple-flavoured Sprite. The bright green beverage is a mixture of Sprite Zero and sugar-free Apple flavoured syrup, costing £2.19 for a medium size. It tasted exactly like Apple Sourz, just without the alcohol – and I was instantly reminded of chaotic nights out at 18. I wouldn't rush to buy it again, but overall, I enjoyed it. I'd also be open to trying McDonald's other syrup flavours. Still, it's fun to see McDonald's trying something new, even if the results are hit-and-miss. This August, The Big Tasty and Big Tasty With Bacon, which are rarely featured on the menu, are returning. More Trending There's a catch, though. The Big Tasty range is only available as a regional exclusive in East Anglia. Similarly, those in Tyne & Tees are getting treated to the Steakhouse Stack. Elsewhere in the UK, the Chicken Big Mac is making its return. It features two patties, a slice of cheese, pickles, lettuce and Big Mac sauce. View More » But the whole of the UK will be able to enjoy a bunch of other returning fan-favourites, including Spicy Chicken McNuggets served with a Spicy Chilli Dip, the Fajita Chicken One, (a wrap made with creamy fajita sauce, tomato salsa, onions, cheese and lettuce with either crispy or grilled chicken), Chilli Cheese Bites and the Milky Way McFlurry with milk chocolate stars, malt flavoured pieces and a chocolate sauce. RETURNING: Milky Way McFlurry, £2.49 Chicken Big Mac (available everywhere except East Anglia and Tyne & Tees), £5.19 Big Tasty and Big Tasty with Bacon (only available in East Anglia), £7.19 without bacon, £8.09 with bacon Steakhouse Stack (only available in Tyne & Tees), £6.49 Chilli Cheese Bites, £2.69 The Fajita Chicken One (replacing the Katsu Chicken One), £3.69 NEW: Jaffa Cakes McFlurry, £2.49 Sprite Zero with Green Apple Syrup (medium), £2.19 Sprite Zero with Mango & Passionfruit Syrup (medium), £2.19 Do you have a story to share?
