The OnePlus 13s is expected to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus 13T, which was earlier launched in China as a compact flagship. Now, as the launch is nearing, more leaks surrounding the new smartphone as been circulating, giving us a sneak peek at what the company may reveal. In a recent rumour, the OnePlus 13s price was tipped, hinting that it could be placed between the flagship OnePlus 13 and 13R. Therefore, know how much this new compact flagship will cost in India.

In a new leak, the speculated price of the OnePlus 13s in India, the US, and the UAE. Reportedly, the smartphone could be priced around Rs.50000 in India, $649 in the US, and AED 2100 in the UAE. Therefore, we can expect that the OnePlus 13s could be announced in the higher mid-range market, and it could offer flagship features as well. However, since the prices are based on leaks, take it with a grain of salt and wait for the official launch to confirm.

Unlike the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 13s features a dual camera setup that may include a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The smartphone may also feature a 16MP selfie camera.

For a lasting battery, the OnePlus 13s is expected to be backed by a 6,260mAh battery that may come with 90W fast charging support. Lastly, the OnePlus 13s could come in three colourways: Black, Pink, and Green. The launch of the smartphone could take place in the upcoming days.

Mumbai: To prevent misuse of police identities in digital arrest frauds, the state govt has allotted Rs 4 crore for procurement of digital ID cards for 51,308 police personnel and other staffers of city police. Home department sources said at present, police personnel carry physical ID cards that can be easily copied, and flagged a recent increase in cybercrimes through misuse of police ID cards, including in digital arrest cases. The smart ID system will incorporate advanced security features, including QR codes and holographic elements, making them virtually difficult to replicate, a govt resolution said. Citizens who get video calls from purported police personnel—a notorious tactic of cyber fraudsters—can check their credentials by asking them to reveal their digital ID and cross-checking it on a free app that will be developed by Mumbai police . Each digital ID card will contain the police personnel's key details, along with a photograph. The app will provide immediate verification results, displaying an officer's current status and authentication details. The digital ID cards will be mandatory for all police personnel while on duty, whether in uniform or plain clothes. This requirement applies particularly during investigations, house visits or when interacting with the public, said sources. The tender process for selecting the technology provider will prioritise companies with experience in secure identification systems. Police will need to ensure that the selected vendor complies with data protection standards, officials said. The new technology's successful implementation in Mumbai will serve as a blueprint for expansion to other cities and districts across the state, govt said. Cybersecurity expert and lawyer Prashant Mali, however, expressed doubts over the new system's efficacy in reining in cyber fraudsters. He said it is unlikely to work on two counts. "The victim won't be in the right frame of mind to ascertain if the cop is genuine. Secondly, to create awareness about digital IDs, it will take another decade. Fraudsters are capable of creating fake websites with the data of police personnel. "

Yamaha's First Electric Scooter For India Spotted Testing, Launch Expected In 2025

Yamaha 's first electric scooter developed in partnership with Bengaluru-based startup River has been spotted testing in India for the very first time. This new EV is built on the same platform as the River Indie and marks Yamaha's serious push into the electric mobility space. Earlier in 2024, Yamaha invested around USD 40 million (approximately Rs 335 crore) in River Mobility, as per Bikewale. The aim was to take advantage of River's knowledge and experience in electric vehicle technology. Thanks to this collaboration, Yamaha is now developing its own electric scooter using River's proven platform. What the Spy Shots Reveal Recent spy images by Autocar suggest that the Yamaha electric scooter shares its chassis and motor with the River Indie. However, it doesn't look exactly the same. Some key differences spotted include: New taillamp, placed higher than on the Indie Redesigned side panels for a fresher appearance Updated front apron with a vertically positioned headlamp Despite these visual tweaks, the scooter keeps the 14-inch wheels and six-inch colour TFT display, just like the Indie. advetisement Expected Performance: Same as Indie?
