Police warn Gaza rally participants to follow laws in Kuala Lumpur
Dang Wangi police chief ACP Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman stated that peaceful assembly is a constitutional right but must be conducted responsibly.
Prohibited items include sharp objects like metal rods, wooden sticks, knives, machetes, and pyrotechnics such as firecrackers and flares.
Banners containing racial, religious, or royal elements are banned, along with defamatory statements and bringing children to the rally.
ACP Sulizmie warned against rioting, disobeying authorities, or operating drones during the event.
He emphasised that firm action will be taken against those causing disturbances or extreme provocations.
PDRM aims to ensure public safety in Kuala Lumpur without disrupting daily activities or the economy.
Traffic congestion near the city centre is expected, but control measures will be implemented to minimise disruptions.
The rally, organised by the Humanity 4 Gaza Secretariat and Malaysian Ulama Association, is expected to draw around 5,000 participants.

Her remains were then transported to Queen Elizabeth I Hospital (HQEI) for a post-mortem examination scheduled for tomorrow morning, Sinar Harian reported. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) forensic unit carried out the work, witnessed by various parties including lawyers Hamid Ismail and Shahlan Jufri representing Zara Qairina's mother, 45-year-old Noraidah Lamat. 2,000 attend 'Malaysia Bangkit Untuk Gaza' rally at Dataran Merdeka
KUALA LUMPUR: Despite heavy rain, about 2,000 people gathered at Dataran Merdeka here today for the "Malaysia Bangkit Untuk Gaza (H4G)" rally, demonstrating strong Malaysian solidarity with the Palestinian cause. The rally, which began at 4pm, brought together various segments of society and included participants from 20 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from across the country. A Harian Metro observation found that attendees started marching towards Dataran Merdeka from nearby areas, such as Masjid Jamek, Masjid Negara, and city-centre shopping malls, from 5pm. They carried Palestinian flags and banners condemning Zionist aggression.
