Amruta Subhash inisisted on playing Ranveer Singh's mother in Gully Boy despite only 6-year age gap, Zoya Akhtar was hesitant: ‘Tum bahut chhoti ho'
During an interview with The Lallantop, the actor recalled Zoya Akhtar's reluctance to offer Ranveer's mother's role to Amruta due to their age gap. 'When Zoya saw me for the first time, she said, 'Arey yaar sorry, tum toh bahut hi chhoti ho'. She saw me in Raman Raghav so she thought I will fit the role. I asked her to tell me first what it was. She briefed me about the film and felt that I won't look like his mother,' she shared.
She added, 'I asked her to at least give the script to me. I got the confidence suddenly and reassured her that I will pull it off. She gave the script and said that you can say no, there's no pressure. Read the script and do whatever you want.'

A woman belonging to the slums of Dharavi, saying this to her husband in from of their children, it struck me that I have to do this. I want this dialogue, I want to do this scene. A South superstar's private apology to Tamannaah Bhatia now goes public. Actress reveals superstar's behaviour after she refused a scene
Synopsis Tamannaah Bhatia, a prominent South Indian actress, recently shared her early career challenges, including an incident where a male actor suggested replacing her after she voiced discomfort with a scene. She also addressed rumors linking her romantically to Virat Kohli, clarifying their interaction was purely professional and limited to a single commercial shoot. Agencies Tamannaah Bhatia's Journey: Rising Through Rejection, Rumours, and Resolve Tamannaah Bhatia, now a top-tier actress in South Indian cinema, didn't have an easy beginning in the film industry. During a candid conversation with The Lallantop , the Baahubali star reflected on the early challenges she faced as a young newcomer. Entering the entertainment world at a tender age, she was forced to confront the harsh reality that female actors are often seen as replaceable. This awareness struck early in her career, shaping her understanding of the industry's recalled being cast alongside a prominent South Indian male actor, only to find herself in a troubling situation. While filming, she encountered a scene that made her deeply uncomfortable. Choosing to voice her concerns and uphold her personal boundaries, she informed the team that she was not at ease performing it. However, her decision wasn't well received. The male lead, offended by her refusal, responded strongly—suggesting that the production should simply replace her with another actress. Reflecting on the moment, Tamannaah shared that being young in the industry often opens the door to manipulation. She noticed that some individuals go out of their way to undermine a newcomer's confidence by insinuating that their opinions don't matter. In her case, she experienced several instances where people attempted to embarrass her or question her professionalism simply because of her age. However, she refused to let these experiences shake her resolve. "I think people try to shake your confidence because you are young and show that you don't know it. You don't understand because you are not that age. So that happened many times. People try to humiliate you. I was once doing a film with a very big South star. And in some scenes, I had to say that I cannot do this. I am not comfortable with this. There was something in that scene with which I was not comfortable. I said that I am not comfortable doing this scene. Then the star said, 'Change the heroine'," she recalled. Despite the tension on set, the actor involved later approached Tamannaah to apologise. The next day, he admitted his behavior had been driven by anger and offered a sincere apology. This act of contrition, though unexpected, helped mend the situation to some extent. But the experience left her with a lasting lesson about power dynamics in the film also took the opportunity to clear the air regarding earlier rumours linking her romantically with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. The speculation had emerged after the two appeared together in a commercial. Putting the record straight, she clarified that their interaction was strictly professional and lasted just a single day. She never spoke to or met him again following that the professional front, Tamannaah has several major projects lined up. She will be seen in four Hindi films—Romeo (a Vishal Bhardwaj directorial co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri), Ranger, IPS Maria, and Vvan: Force of the Forrest.

Zakir Khan Says He Spent 45 Minutes With BTS But Did Not Know Who The K-Pop Stars Were
Comedian Zakir Khan claims he met K-pop supergroup BTS a few years ago when he was in South Korea and failed to recognise them. What's more? In this new interview with The Lallantop, the comic said people fainted after he told them that he spent a good 45 minutes with the septet in the same room. What's Happening Zakir Khan says he mistook K-pop superband BTS for a team that was called in to shoot the behind-the-scenes videos of an interview when he was in South Korea. What Zakir Khan Said About BTS In the interview, the comedian said, "I know there's a famous band called BTS. I have this piece of information parked somewhere in my mind. I also know they are very acclaimed and popular. I went to Korea for an event to interview a big celebrity, and the band was also there to meet the same person. Because I was late, of course, I was in the last batch with those members of the band. "Cameras weren't allowed, it was a private meeting. I thought there was a security team from Hollywood and one would be from Korea. The Korean producer must have thought that there should be a team for BTS too, I thought it was a behind-the-scenes team. I was completely unaware of the fact that they are famous people. Later, when I told people that I spent 45 minutes in the same room as them, they fainted," he added. BTS Doesn't Mean Behind-The-Scenes Here's a crash course about who BTS is and no, BTS always doesn't stand for behind-the-scenes. BTS's full form is Bangtan Sonyeondan in Korean or Beyond The Scene in English. BTS is an uber popular South Korean music group which tackles themes of identity, love, hope, and mental health awareness through chartbusters such as ON, Boy With Luv, Fake Love, and Blood Sweat Tears. Not only South Korea, BTS has fans across the world in countries, including India, US, Mexico, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Brazil. In A Nutshell Comedian Zakir Khan apparently met BTS in South Korea and didn't recognise the group despite knowing about their existence. No matter if it was a case of a misunderstanding or not being part of the BTS fan group ARMY, Zakir Khan today is the envy of many admirers of the band in India and around the world.
