Transfer race for £80m Chelsea star heats up with three clubs to rival Newcastle
The Magpies – who have missed out on a number of targets in the current window – are interested in a deal to sign Jackson, valued at around £80m.
Eddie Howe's side view Jackson as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak, who has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
Newcastle are keen on Jackson after missing out on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who is set to join Manchester United after a fight for his signature.

But Newcastle now face an uphill battle to sign Jackson too – after Sky Sports reported that AC Milan, Juventus and Bayern Munich have now all explored the conditions of a deal.
Chelsea are open to selling Jackson ahead of the new season after recruiting Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in the summer transfer window.
Jackson has conjured up 30 goals and 12 assists across 81 games for the Blues since joining the club in a £32m deal from Villarreal in 2023.
According to football transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, German champions Bayern have made an official enquiry about Jackson.
Italian club Juventus, though, are likely to have to sell Dusan Vlahovic in order to proceed in talks for Chelsea's 24-year-old Senegal international.
AC Milan, meanwhile, reportedly want to sign Jackson on an initial loan deal with an option to sign him permanently.
Quizzed about Jackson's future at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca said: 'When the transfer window is open – unfortunately, or fortunately – anything can happen. More Trending
'This involves Nico's situation. At the moment wehave had two strikers arrive – Joao and Liam – so we'll see what happens.'
Newcastle have three alternative options if they can't sign Jackson – with the club looking at Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Brentford's Yoane Wissa.
The third striker Newcastle are keeping tabs on is RB Leipzig's Lois Openda.
The Magpies are currently gearing up for the new Premier League season and face a trip to Villa Park in their opening match on August 16.

Fanatics President of Trading Cards David Leiner
The release attracted a diverse range of fans looking to start their new collections while footballing legends like Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer were also in attendance. With players from all 20 Premier League clubs featured in the collection and more genuine player autograph cards s than ever before, Leiner relished the collection's ability to provide something for every collector. '[The feedback has] been great. The product screams Premier League. There's so many different hooks in the product and different ways to collect,' he enthused. Fanatics President of Trading Cards David Leiner was delighted to see the reaction from fans as the Topps Premier League 2026 collection launched at their flagship London store on Regent Street on Thursday. (Image: Topps) 'This is our most broadly distributed Premier League product so we want fans of all ages, income levels, everywhere [to access it]. There's so many fun collecting journeys to be had. 'Whether you want to go on a high-end journey and chase some of the big hits or you want to collect your favourite club and gather up all the players, chase some of the fun insert parts we have in there, there are so many different ways to collect. It's a beautiful product.' For Leiner, who is a collectibles enthusiast himself, that journey will most likely start with an ambition to go back to traditional ways and complete a set. 'I'm a little old school and I'm a set collector, so I still love building the sets, chasing all the players. That's what I'm going to do,' he explained. 'I really like when you take the base set and chase those rare parallels, so I'm going to have to go chase after a few guys. 'I've got my eye on a few Chelsea players. There's some young guys that are interesting, so I'll see where my collecting journey takes me.' Fanatics, who acquired the Topps name in January 2022, won back the Premier League rights for the upcoming season and have left no stone unturned in ensuring their collectibles are a hit product. The all-new Topps Premier League 2026 collection is a stand-alone range outside of Match Attax and boasts an extensive parallel programme with 15 colour variations across unnumbered and numbered parallels. And fans can also expect further surprises to come throughout the season. 'We are really excited to get the Premier League rights,' said Leiner. 'We had been a partner of the Premier League in the past, we were the original partner of the Premier League when it formed in the early 90s, and now the rights are back home where they belong. 'I couldn't be more delighted to see the rights back with us. We're going to delight fans and collectors with a bunch of products all throughout the season, but this is the first one. 'When you talk about domestic league football, you have some of the biggest clubs in the world and you have the best players. This is incredibly important to us, incredibly important to fans of the UK, but also all over the world.' Alongside Shearer, Gerrard and Ferdinand there was also a host of other legends in the Fanatics London store like Theo Walcott, Jermaine Defoe and Joleon Lescott. As avid collector and current Premier League and Chelsea star Tosin Adarabioyo also made an appearance, it is clear Topps are engaging players and fans at all levels of the game in their collecting journey. 'A big belief we have is if the athletes are going to care about the cards, then the collectors and fans are going to care,' explained Leiner. 'When they see their favourite athletes collecting, that's going to further their interest and really help us further develop the category. That's been very important. 'We continue to market the category like it's never been marketed before. Having a flagship store like this in London is a big marketing vehicle for us, but it's also a big educational vehicle, and it's a big community building vehicle. 'We sell products and that's important, but community is what this is really all about.' Marking the launch of the Topps Premier League 2025-26 collection were football icons Alan Shearer, Steven Gerrard, and Rio Ferdinand, joined by Jermaine Defoe, Joleon Lescott, Theo Walcott and Tosin Adarabioyo, alongside Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin in a star-studded celebration.

Defoe and East help celebrate major moment for cricket initiative
The Premier League legend and X Factor star joined forces to mark the 100th newly-installed cricket pitch in parks and sports centres across England and Wales as part of KP Snacks' Everyone In campaign. The pair swapped football boots and microphones for bats and balls as part of a pitch party also involving professionals from the men's and women's teams at Hundred sides Oval Invincibles and London Spirit. Defoe, who grew up in Canning Town, has not played the sport since his schooldays but relished taking part and seeing the opportunities on offer for children in the capital. KP Snacks, the Official Team Partner of The Hundred, are celebrating the installation of 100 new community cricket pitches across England and Wales with Jermain Defoe and Fleur East (Image: Michael Leckie) 'It's an amazing campaign and it's really good to be involved,' he said. 'This is pitch number 100, so it was only right that I picked the bat up and hit a six. 'To see families come out, the pros come out, and see that connection with the community is really nice. 'My grandad loved cricket. I remember being at my nan's house and my grandad, with his St Lucian background, was always watching cricket, supporting the West Indies. 'Years later, I was at West Ham with Shaka Hislop and through Shaka, I met Brian Lara and became friends. It's a fantastic sport and one I want to go and watch soon.' Through their Everyone In campaign, KP Snacks are on a mission to inspire and enable more families & communities to get more active through cricket and create more opportunities for people to get involved and have a healthier lifestyle through the sport. East, who hails from Walthamstow, took a break from starring as Tina Turner in the music icon's self-titled musical to wield the willow for the first time. The 37-year-old, whose smash hit Sax hit number three in the UK charts in 2015, said: 'It has been so much fun to be here, get involved and see everyone active. 'I've never played cricket before in my life and didn't know too much about it, but I managed to do a decent bowl and hit a four with the bat so I'm taking the win. 'Everyone was having such a good time and I learned pretty quickly that even though I didn't have too many skills, it's easy to get involved and it was a lot of fun trying to master it. 'I was inspired by all the kids as well, they were little stars. Having opportunities like this for future generations is amazing. 'I have a daughter who is 16 months old and if I can get her into cricket as soon as she can do it, then I will!'
