Time of India22-05-2025

Somebody Feed Phil: Season 8 OTT Release Date - Phil Rosenthal's globetrotting food series is officially returning with a new edition, and fans won't have to wait long. The new season premieres on June 18, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
Where Phil's heading this time?
In Somebody Feed Phil: Season 8, the Emmy-nominated TV host and Everybody Loves Raymond creator sets off once again to explore new places and plates. This season's travel list includes Amsterdam, Tbilisi, Sydney, Adelaide, Manila, Las Vegas, Guatemala, San Sebastian, and Boston. As always, each episode will feature local flavours, food vendors, restaurants, and conversations with locals all through Phil's humorous and heartfelt lens.
One of Netflix's longest-running unscripted shows
Launched in 2018, Somebody Feed Phil has become one of Netflix's most-loved and longest-running non-fiction series. Phil Rosenthal, now 65, brings warmth, humour, and real joy to each episode as he meets new people and tries their favourite dishes. The show has earned several recognitions over the years, including a 2022 Critics' Choice Real TV Award for Best Travel/Adventure Show, a 2024 nomination in the same category, and a James Beard Award nomination in the 'Visual Media - Long Form' category.
Phil's diner in LA: A tribute to his parents
Beyond the series, Rosenthal is bringing his love for food into the real world, too. This summer, he's launching a classic American diner in Los Angeles, named Max and Helen's, after his late parents. Max and Helen Rosenthal were fan favourites on earlier seasons of Somebody Feed Phil, known for their appearances during the show's video calls. The diner is a tribute to them and is expected to reflect their charm and traditional American tastes.
Phil isn't stopping with just the show. He's also set to release a new cookbook titled Phil's Favorites on November 4, featuring his personal collection of go-to recipes. In addition, he co-wrote a children's book with his daughter Lily called Just Try It: A Phil and Lil Book, encouraging kids to try new foods and experiences, very much in the spirit of his Netflix series.
Before becoming a food host, Rosenthal made his mark in television by creating the iconic sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. The show won 16 Emmy Awards during its nine-season run on CBS and is still considered one of the most successful American sitcoms.

When No One Sees Us OTT Release Date: If psychological thrillers laced with suspense, secrets, and slow-burning tension are your thing, then When No One Sees Us might just be your next binge-worthy watch. Adapted from the Sergio Sarria novel of the same name, this highly anticipated Spanish series is finally making its India debut. You'll be able to catch it on JioHotstar starting June 14, 2025. What is When No One Sees Us all about? This thrilling limited series comes from Spain, but don't let the language fool you; it's packed with universally chilling themes. At the centre of the story is Mariela Garriga, best known for her intense performances in European cinema, and Maribel Verdú, the iconic Spanish actress you may recognise from Pan's Labyrinth and Y Tu Mamá También. Directed by a talented Spanish team and backed by Disney's international content slate, When No One Sees Us unfolds in a small town in southern Spain during Easter week. The story starts when a man in the town is found dead in what looks like a suicide. But something about it doesn't feel right. At the same time, a U.S. military agent named Magaly Castillo (Mariela Garriga) arrives at the nearby American air base. She's there to find a missing American soldier. Her investigation leads her to question the base's commander, who seems to be hiding something. As she keeps digging, Magaly starts to see that the soldier's disappearance might be connected to what's happening in the town. Soon, both Lucía and Magaly realise their cases are linked. Together, they uncover a tangle of secrets involving both the townspeople and people from the military base. When No One Sees Us also stars Austin Amelio, Ben Temple, Dani Rovira, Dani Téllez, Joe Manjón, Lorca Prada, Jorge Suquet, Numa Paredes, María Alfonsa Rossot, Lucia Jiménez, Eloy Azorín, Virginia de Morata, Carlos Beluga and Ana María Vivancos among others.

After Mani Ratnam & Kajol, Netflix's 'Rana Naidu' actor Rana Daggubati supports Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift: 'You can't be forced to...'

Daggubati added, 'Nobody is forcing anybody. It's a job. You can't be forced to do a job. Everyone has their own opinion on what's important to them in their life.' read more After Kajol, Ajay Devgn, and Mani Ratnam, Netflix's 'Rana Naidu' actor Rana Daggubati has stood by Deepika Padukone's 8-hour working shift amid the Spirit row. The actor said, 'It depends on the project, the person, and the region. For example, in Maharashtra, it's a 12-hour shift, while in Telugu cinema typically has an 8-hour shift starting at 7 am. Everyone has a certain mentality, and the city also gives to certain things. You are seeing it as a generic statement - it is not. If you have to shoot on a set, it depends on how much prep you need. There are films taking place on a big spectacle where only two shoots take place in a day.' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Daggubati added, 'Nobody is forcing anybody. It's a job. You can't be forced to do a job. Everyone has their own opinion on what's important to them in their life. There are actors who only work four hours a day - that's their system of working. They end up doing more than what a guy in 8 hours does. It's different for everybody, and it's not a general discussion.' After exiting from Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Prabhas' biggie Spirit, the latest reports suggest that the actress has taken the same step for Kalki 2898 AD 2. While the fiasco between Deepika and Vanga has been garnering headlines for quite some time, a new report has emerged discussing the actress's demands for Spirit. 'The actor had reportedly demanded ₹25 crores for approximately 35 days of shoot, along with a 10% profit share, extensive entourage expenses, and even expressed unwillingness to deliver dialogues in Telugu—something the director felt strongly about. To top it off, confidential plot details from Spirit were allegedly leaked, which raised serious concerns among the producers," the source told News18.
