Fans are questioning the future of The Handmaid's Tale

The Handmaid's Tale is back for season 6
The Handmaid's Tale has recently graced our screens again with its sixth season. The latest instalment sees June Osborne, portrayed by Elisabeth Moss, once again attempting to rescue her daughter Hannah Bankole, played by Jordan Blake.
In her quest, June allies herself with Mayday in a bid to overthrow the Commanders and liberate her child from the oppressive religious regime. The trailer hints at a rebellion led by the handmaids against their cruel oppressors, aiming to dismantle the system, reports the Mirror US.

Fans are eager to know what lies ahead for The Handmaid's Tale and whether this is the final season.

Is this the last season of The Handmaid's Tale?
The straightforward answer is yes. Season six marks the end of The Handmaid's Tale journey.
The 10-episode final season promises a grand conclusion to the Emmy Award-winning series. The show, inspired by Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name, has expanded the universe of Gilead far beyond the book's narrative.
However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and now The Handmaid's Tale returns for one last time.
Former showrunner and executive producer Bruce Miller previously hinted that the TV adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale would stay true to the book's ending, suggesting that viewers already have an idea of how the series will conclude.

Co-showrunner and executive producer Yahlin Chang spilled the beans to Variety about the final series of The Handmaid's Tale, saying: "We knew that this would be our very last chance to tell these stories with our beloved cast and our beloved characters, so it was definitely a now-or-never feeling."
Chang also teased: "It's a wish fulfilment season, it's a season where we just want to be really rewarding and really satisfying."

While The Handmaid's Tale is drawing to a close, fans need not despair as Bruce Miller takes the helm for the sequel series The Testaments, diving into Gilead's future.
Margaret Atwood's 2019 novel The Testaments, which unravels the ultimate fate of Gilead, serves as the foundation for the new series.

With cameras already rolling on The Testaments' first season, Miller shared insights with Entertainment Weekly, revealing: "[The Testaments] is about someone on the top in Gilead. This is about Hannah or Agnes, who's the daughter of a high commander who is the top of the food chain for women in Gilead, and it's still awful."
Miller further clarified that the end of The Handmaid's Tale will stand on its own, independent of The Testaments, promising viewers unexpected twists as June's tale comes to an end.
He revealed to the media: "I didn't want Testaments to dictate Handmaid's Tale, and I didn't want Handmaid's Tale to dictate Testaments. Some of the characters overlap, but it's about a different world."

Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer praises dad amid Die Hard star's dementia battle

Bruce Willis' eldest daughter Rumer has publicly credited her dad for being her inspiration, as the Hollywood action legend's condition continues to decline following his dementia diagnosis Rumer Willis has publicly praised her dad, crediting him with giving her the inspiration to become an action star, like iconic Die Hard actor Bruce. The 70-year-old was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023, with the action hero now "non-verbal" and requiring 24-hour care. His tragic diagnosis was made just a year after he retired from acting after being diagnosed with language disorder aphasia, in March 2022. His family confirmed his disease had progressed to FTD, which has a typical life expectancy of between six and eight years, but can be as low as two years. ‌ Bruce was married to actress Demi Moore, 62, between 1989 and 2000. They share three daughters, Rumer, 36, Scout, 33 and Tallulah, 31. The pair divorced, and Bruce remarried after meeting British model Emma Heming - they share two daughters, Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn Penn, 10. ‌ Bruce's eldest, Rumer, has revealed she is following in her dad's footsteps by making the move into the action genre. In her new movie, Trail of Vengeance, she plays disgruntled widow Katherine Atherton, who is dead-set on revenge after her husband's murder. In a recent interview with People magazine, she said: "My dad is such an action man," adding: "My mom's done her fair share [of action] as well." Rumer's mum Demi starred in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and GI Jane - in which she played the titular character. ‌ Rumer added: "I felt like a little kid when I found out I got [this role]." The movie is out now in cinemas. Mother-of-one Rumer makes sure her two-year-old daughter Louetta spends as much time as possible with her dad while she still can. A source previously revealed: "Rumer wants to make sure Louetta knows Bruce. "She wants him to be actively involved in Louetta's life. It's a very special bond. Rumer and her sisters love their dad so much. They are very conscious that any day could be his last." ‌ And his ex-wife Demi has also stepped up to make sure Bruce and their daughters are taken care of, despite their divorce. Speaking previously to Variety, the Substance star said: "We will always be a family, just in a different form." She added: "I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely: It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at. And from that place, there is such loving and joy." ‌ Speaking about her ex's diagnosis, Demi told Town & Country magazine: "Finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what fronto-temporal dementia is and I could educate our children. I've never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. Sppeaking on CBS Sunday Morning in September she said: "The important thing is just to meet him where he's at, as opposed to being attached to who he was, how he was. Because, again, that only just puts you in a place of loss versus being in the present, meeting him where he's at, and finding the joy and the loving of just all that is where he is."

Taylor Swift 'bursts into tears' as she gives huge update on album after huge wait

Taylor Swift 'bursts into tears' as she gives huge update on album after huge wait Taylor Swift has announced that she has bought back the master recordings of her first six albums from Shamrock Capital after a prolonged battle Taylor Swift announced that she bought back her master recordings (Image: taylorswift/instagram ) Taylor Swift has finally done it - she now owns the master recordings of her first six albums, closing a chapter in a fight that's lasted more than six years. The deal ends her association with Shamrock Capital, who bought the catalogue from Scooter Braun in 2020. In a heartfelt message to fans, Taylor confirmed she now holds full ownership of her original albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. It's a full-circle moment for the artist, who's spent years re-recording her work and speaking out about artists' rights ‌ In a handwritten note to her supporters published on her website, Taylor wrote: "I'm trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow. A flashback sequence of all the time I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell this news." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter ‌ The pop singer profusely thanked her fans for helping her fulfill her life-long dream (Image: taylorswift/instagram ) "All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through. I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. But that's all in the past now. I've been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found that this is really happening. I really get to say those words. All of the music I've ever made ... now belongs ... to me." Taylor shared that as part of the deal, she had gained ownership of her music videos, concert films, album artwork, photographs, and previously unreleased tracks, reports the Mirror US. ‌ She added: "To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it. To my fans, you know how important this has been to me - so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released 4 of my albums, calling them Taylor's Version." The Grammy-winning artist extended her gratitude to her devoted followers for their fervent support of her re-recorded albums, as well as their contribution to making The Eras Tour a spectacular triumph. Taylor noted that the profits generated from her world tour enabled her to purchase back her musical repertoire. Taylor also noted: "I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but I have never owned until now. All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music outright with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy. I will be forever grateful to everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me. ... My first tattoo just might be a huge shamrock in the middle of my forehead." ‌ Responding to the anticipation around a 'Reputation Taylor's Version', she admitted: "I know, I know. What about Rep TV? Full transparency. I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it. The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. "All that defiance, that longing to be understood while Feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief. To be perfectly honest, it's the one album in those first 6 that I thought couldn't be improved upon by redoing it. Not the music, or photos, or videos. So I kept putting it off. "There will be a time (if you're into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album to hatch. I've already completely re-recorded my album, and I really love how it sounds now. Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about. But if it happens, it won't be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. It will just be a celebration now. ‌ "I'm extremely heartened by the conversations this saga has reignited within my industry among artists and fans. Every time a new artist tells me they negotiated to own their master recordings in their record contract because of this fight, I'm reminded of how important it was for all of this to happen." Taylor wrapped up her heartfelt note saying: "Thank you for being curious about something that used to be thought of as too industry-centric for broad discussion. You'll never know how much it means to me that you cared. Every single bit of it counted and ended us up here. Thanks to you and your goodwill, teamwork and encouragement, the best things that have ever been mine... finally actually are." She affectionately concluded her message to her supporters with "Elated and amazed, Taylor." Article continues below
