Yara Sameh
TikTok star Bella Poarch and Sasha Lane ('American Honey,' 'Twisters') are set to star in the horror movie 'Six Till Midnight,' from director Andrew Donoho and produced by Timur Bekmambetov ('Unfriended,' 'Searching').
'Six Till Midnight' will mark the film acting debut for Poarch, the Filipino-American platinum-selling singer-songwriter and one of the top TikTok creators with more than 125 million followers and 2 billion music streams.
The project is also the feature directorial debut for Donoho, who has directed various music videos for artists such as Janelle Monáe, Paul McCartney and Twenty One Pilots. He has also directed the viral Billboard 100 hit 'Build a B*tch' for Poarch.
Written by Gregg McBride, 'Six Till Midnight' follows six strangers lured into a cryptic online game show run by the anonymous 'Host' who knows their darkest secrets. If they uncover their hidden connection before midnight, they'll win the prize of a lifetime. Fail, and they won't make it out alive.
The cast also stars Carter Jenkins ('After We Fell'), Nicole Maines ('Yellowjackets'), Devin Druid ('13 Reasons Why,' 'Cam'), Assaf Cohen ('Entourage'), Tyler Hardwick, and Trang-Anh Dong.
The movie is produced by Bekmambetov under his Bazelevs banner, Majd Nassif through Longevity Pictures, and Ara Keshishian and Petr Jakl of ZQ Entertainment. Aysel Lyatifova serves as executive producer, along with McBride.
It was financed and developed by ZQ Entertainment and their partner RTF.
'Six Till Midnight' is the first movie to come out of a slate deal between Bazelevs and ZQ.
The second is set to go into production in the fall. Bazelevs and ZQ are also developing a Stan Lee universe in the horror space.

Teachers Turn to Temu for Gen Z Back to School Fun - Middle East Business News and Information

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Back to school in 2025 isn't what it used to be, and neither are the students. Raised on smartphones, memes, and TikTok trends, Gen Z steps into the classroom with a world of instant gratification and endless scrolling at their fingertips. For teachers, the challenge is how to capture the attention of students after a summer of viral videos and keep them hooked on learning from day one? The answer may be simpler than expected. Teachers are finding new ways to connect through feedback, moving beyond simple letter grades to personalized messages, drawings, and meme stickers to better connect with students and enhance learning through speaking their language. Mariela, a modern TikToker teacher, is always looking for new ways to involve her students and consistently shares her best practices on her TikTok account. On her TikTok account, Mariela shows how she uses fun stickers from Temu to actively engage them in the learning process. 'I think students need to see the grading process as something positive and natural. It should be fun, not a way to punish them for not having studied enough. Moreover, they need to understand that I'm here to help them learn, not just to grade them, but to encourage them to give their best,' she says. Surprise your digital-native students in class to keep learning alive: Nowadays, the learning process must be adapted to the students' needs and preferences in order to be truly successful. ' I found that featuring memes students already use in their everyday conversations is the perfect way to surprise them. They are not used to associating humor with learning, which is something I love, ' she says. ' Transforming the grading process into something unusual, something unexpected, is crucial to keeping the learning flame alive, ' she adds. ' Moreover, I am impressed by the large number of stickers in each package and the variety in designs, which is very convenient for me as I teach different groups, ' she claims regarding her purchase. She has noticed the positive impact that changing the rules about grading has had in her classroom. ' Using this meme sticker I found on the Temu platform, I build a stronger connection with my students, turning the learning experience into something fun and unexpected. My students feel understood and motivated, viewing the classroom as a space where they can truly be themselves ,' she concludes. ' With the incredible impact funny stickers have had on my students, I now feel I have the key to transforming grading into something exciting, even for myself, as I enjoy selecting the perfect sticker for each student, ' she says. Educational games as a learning tool: Using educational games as a classroom tool has also proven to be successful in keeping students engaged in the learning process and Temu fun stickers is one way to implement this approach. ' Students can collect these stickers and create a grading album to track their progress, motivating them to continue learning. Teachers can also award fun stickers during class activities, encouraging students to participate actively in order to earn the ones they need ,' she explains. Zahira Fernández demonstrates how she uses a portable printer to create the most amazing and funny stickers to decorate all the materials she uses for studying. Students and teachers can have fun while at school, using modern resources to stay motivated during the learning process. Dory, another teacher, also finds using fun stickers like the ones she found on Temu incredibly convenient for creating a comfortable atmosphere in her third-grade classroom. By embracing creativity and platforms like Temu to source engaging materials, teachers are transforming classrooms where learning thrives through connection. Sometimes the smallest innovations make the biggest difference in a student's journey.
