The One Show presenter Alex Jones has been on the BBC programme for 15 years after making her debut back in 2010.
Back in 2010, Alex Jones stepped into the presenter's chair on The One Show, taking over from Christine Bleakley.

Ever since, BBC audiences have watched her chat with an array of famous faces, from Helen George and Don Warrington to Matt Damon and Catherine Zeta Jones, who recently left viewers utterly stunned.

This month signals Alex's 15th anniversary at the helm of the programme, something she acknowledged during Monday's opening, reports Wales Online.

As the show began, the 48-year-old warmly welcomed back co-host Ronan Keating following his extended absence.
She declared: "Look who is back for one night only, it's lovely Ronan."

He responded: "Alex, thank you, it's good to be back. Especially, as this month marks 15 years of you on this show."
Alex exclaimed: "Stop! Stop, I can't believe it, they're going to send me back any minute."
The Boyzone singer remained tight-lipped as he informed BBC watchers his mouth was zipped, though hinted more details about the anniversary would emerge on Friday's episode.

It appears a special celebration is being planned as the programme's official Instagram account honoured Alex, suggesting bigger things are coming.
The footage featured a collection of the host's moments through the years, spanning from her 2010 debut right up to recent times.

The post read: "15 fabulous years of smiles, stories, and sparkle! Here's to Alex Jones-the heart of The One Show throughout the years! Join The One Show to help celebrate this Friday, August 8th, on BBC One."
The post quickly earned comments, with a host of celebrities praising Alex for her long tenure on The One Show.

Police say inquiries are continuing in relation to the comments at the gig, which the BBC chose to livestream. The CST said the next worst day so far this year was May 17 — a day after Israel said it was expanding military operations in Gaza — when 19 incidents were recorded. A spokesman said: 'Both of these cases illustrate how sentiment and rhetoric towards Israel and Zionism influence, shape and drive contemporary anti-Jewish discourse, online and offline, often around totemic events that grab mainstream public attention.' Over the six months, there were 76 violent anti-Jewish assaults, three rated as 'extreme', the charity said. There were 84 incidents of damage and desecration of Jewish property, 21 of mass-produced antisemitic literature and 1,236 of verbal or written abuse. The six-month January to June total was 1,521, down on the 2,019 in the same period for 2024. CST chief executive Mark Gardner said the figures demonstrate 'extreme levels of Jew-hatred, committed in the name of anti-Israel activism'. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper called the numbers 'shamefully and persistently high'. She said antisemitism 'has a profoundly damaging impact on the individuals affected and the wider Jewish community' and said the Government was determined to 'root out the poison'.

Hulk Hogan's daughter shares concerning conspiracy theory over WWE star's death

WWE icon Hulk Hogan died aged 71 last month and his estranged daughter has posted a conspiracy theory regarding his death despite authorities stating there was no foul play Hulk Hogan's daughter has shared a concerning conspiracy theory about the WWE star's death on social media on Tuesday before sharing a heartfelt tribute to her late father. The wrestling icon, born Terry Gene Bollea, died aged 71 on July 24 after suffering a heart attack. ‌ For years, the retired ex- WWE star hadn't been in contact with 37-year-old Brooke after their relationship broke down. That same fractured relationship was brought into the spotlight when she shared an emotional tribute on social media following Hogan's death. It was recently emerged that they had a 'tearful conversation' only a few days before he passed away at his home in Florida. ‌ A few days after his death, it was reported that Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Centre. It comes after Sir Michael Palin says he is preparing for the end of his life in sad update. ‌ In documents obtained by PageSix, it's stated that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterised by an irregular and often rapid heart rate. The documents also record that the late sports star had a history of leukaemia, CLL, which is a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. ‌ But now, his daughter Brooke reposted an Instagram post promoting an article by radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge that's titled 'Quick cremation without autopsy raises questions about Hulk Hogan's death'. She added the words: "Exactly". Speaking on his YouTube channel, Bubba claimed Hogan's cremation was approved without an autopsy or independent examination by the county medical examiner. ‌ Other allegations he made were that the star was already cremated and someone could have injected something into the wrestler's dialysis port while he was sleeping to induce a heart attack. "There were no signs of foul play or suspicious activity," Maj. Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department told reporters, according to the Tampa Bay Times. His death certificate states he will be cremated at the Bay Area Crematory in Clearwater, with no specific date revealed. A spokesperson for the medical examiner's office confirmed a request for cremation on July 31. They told Page Six at the time: "I'm not aware of when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we've received a request for cremation approval." When Brooke phoned into Bubba's Twitch stream on Tuesday, she was asked for her thoughts on his theories. She said: "'I do think it's weird that no autopsy was performed."

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea gets engaged to mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in shock car crash

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea has got engaged to a mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in a shock car crash. The reality star, 40, who rose to fame on the eighth series of Big Brother in 2007, shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday. The clip began with a blurry close-up of her huge diamond ring after being propose to by her partner, 43, who she has not named publicly. Charley was also seen relaxing on a sofa wearing a grey silk nightgown as she held her hand up displaying the rock. 'A real man leads with love, protects with presence, and builds with purpose,' Charley captioned the video. She also wrote: 'Two things I know for sure — I'm not where I used to be, and God is still leading me somewhere greater ❤️.' In another post from a few days before, Charley put on a very racy display with her fiance in pictures taken from the same day - with her ring again on show. The engaged couple gazed into each others' eyes as Charley sat on his knee, with both wearing the matching silk dressing gowns. 'Nights like this with your favorite person,' she captioned the pictures. The announcement came just weeks after Charley was rushed to hospital after allegedly being 'left for dead' in a shocking car crash. She took to her Instagram Stories last month to detail the shocking incident, telling fans she had been hit by a truck. She got into the crash after spending the evening out and claimed that she was 'left for dead' on the side of the road after being 'knocked out'. Charley shared a video of herself in hospital wearing a neck brace. She had painful-looking red injuries across her eyebrow and cheek and claimed she could barely use her arms following the crash. She penned in a caption: 'Bless my nurse brushing my hair out, I can't really use my arms atm I'm so weak.' Alongside another picture of a smashed-up car, she added: 'Look at the damage this truck did just by hitting me, then leaves me [for] dead on the side of the road.' Charley also shared a photograph of herself out on the town before the crash and penned: 'Such a nice night before I ended up in the air lol and knocked out.' Charley, who celebrated her 40th birthday just days before on June 30, reassured her 251,000 followers that she would be 'home soon'. MailOnline contacted Charley for further comment at the time. Charley is best known for her 2007 Big Brother stint in the same year that Brian Belo was crowned the winner. She survived eviction until week eight, and was famously argumentative; rowing with Chanelle Hayes for ten minutes about how old Rihanna was. Charley was also attacked with a racist slur by fellow housemate Emily Parr, who was aged 19 at the time. Emily was ejected from the house in the early hours of the morning after she was heard using the N-word to Charley while they were chatting in the garden hours before. Both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, who was also present, were stunned at her use of the word however Emily swiftly insisted it 'was a joke'. She was later called to the diary room and told of her ejection by Big Brother. At the time of Emily's removal, Head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, said after the incident: 'In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother, we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily's intentions and her housemates' response. 'The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use. 'We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated.'
