For farmers, it is a chance to show the public the essential work they do.
WHERE AND WHEN: Since the first Open Farm Sunday in 2006, more than 2,000 farmers have welcomed over 3.25million people on to their farms.
You can search for a farm near you at openfarm.org.
Entry to most is free, making it a baaaa-gain day out! But some may charge a small fee or charge for specific activities.

While most events take place tomorrow, some open on other dates in June.
FIND A FARM: Each farm will be taking part in the event in their own way.
For some it's a chance to take people on tractor rides, others may offer a gentle walk through the fields.
Dairy farms might show you milking time, while arable farms may dig deep into growing techniques.
Check out the listings first to find a farm that appeals the most to you.
FARMING FOR ALL: You don't have to head into the countryside to experience farm life.
Prince William joins Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper in show of support to Britain's young farmers
Some of those taking part in Sunday's event are within towns and cities.
If you miss them, you can visit the animals at local city farms at any time of year.
There are city farms in London, Bath, Nottingham, Sheffield and other areas of the UK. Some are free, though welcome donations.
MAKE HAY AND STAY: If you're bitten by the farming bug, a holiday or mini break on a working farm might be magical.
For the cream of the crop look at a site like Farm Stays UK, which has B&B and self-catering accommodation.
Camping can be an inexpensive option and on the Pitch Up website you can use the 'farm' and 'price' filters to find your perfect campsite.

I'm a single mum and wanted to give the stairs in my rented house a new look – I'm on a strict budget & did it for £35

So after getting permission from the landlord, Megan decided to get started on the makeover - which she managed to complete for just £35. When she got home, she got started by cleaning off the stairs, before she started attaching the rugs to the steps. After getting them in the perfect position, she used a heavy duty staple gun to attach them onto the stairs. And once she'd finished, the rugs looked like a perfect, professional and expensive stair runner. "Changing the stairs on my private rented property with permission from my landlord," Megan wrote over the top of the video. "Single mum on a budget style!" And she added in the caption: "I love it when a vision comes to life….now I just need to go accessory shopping. "This whole project has cost me around £35 in total. Now that's what you call DIY on a budget!" People in the comments section were quick to praise Megan for the transformation, with one writing: "Well done, looks amazing!" "It looks stunning! You've done amazing!" another added. Brits renting spend nearly £700 on décor to make rentals feel like home "What is the tool your using to tack the runners in place babe?" "Thank you so much, it's been a long few days," Megan replied. "It's just a heavy duty staple gun." "Well worth the effort, looks great," a third praised. "That is amazing, fair play to you," someone else commented. "It's beautiful - ready for your next project." Home upgrades that add the most value to a house The best renovation to add value totally depends on your property, the local market and your potential buyers. Zoopla shared a list of upgrades that will instantly add value to your home. Loft conversion - increase of 15% Off-street parking - adds £50,000 to property price New kitchen - increase of 15% Garage conversion - increase of 15% Cellar or basement conversion - increase of 10-15% Open plan living space - increase of 3-5% New bathroom - increase of 3-5% "Gorgeous! Love this, well done!" another wrote. "I work in Ikea... that's great use of the Tiphede runner rug," someone else said. "It looks stunning," another added. "In the middle of doing our stairs - could you please tell me how you managed to get a neat line up your stairs for the paint? "I'm so close to chucking the brush!" To which Megan replied: "Masking tape but remove it whilst the paint is still wet". "I did something similar and I swear trying to keep them clean is a nightmare! It will be a daily task!" someone else commented. With Megan responding: "I have 5 children, I'm always cleaning anyway!" "Came out really nice..." another said. 6 Megan was able to complete the transformation herself Credit: tiktok/@meganwhittx/

Kaleb Cooper on clashes with Jeremy Clarkson after Clarkson's Farm absence
Kaleb Cooper was at odds with Jeremy Clarkson during the harvest Kaleb Cooper from Clarkson's Farm has opened up about the fiery rows he's had with Jeremy Clarkson while filming the fourth series of their Prime Video sensation, reports Gloucestershire Live. The 26 year old farmhand, who has been instrumental in turning Clarkson's agricultural venture at Diddly Squat Farm into a success, admitted that they butted heads particularly during this year's stressful harvest. Kaleb described the tension: "Jeremy and I argued quite a bit in harvest because it was so stressful for me trying to do my very best again as a contractor. It was pretty tough mentally." He further commented: "Jeremy really enjoys doing the harvest, but he's a pain. Life would be easier if he wasn't there during harvest, just because he's a bit incompetent!" The rows between Kaleb and Jeremy reached a peak in the latest episode of Clarkson's Farm, where viewers saw the pair clash openly, with Kaleb memorably calling the renowned television presenter a "t**t". Without waiting for Jeremy, Kaleb proceeded with the harvest operations and took to Instagram to talk about it, much to the ire of the famously brash journalist. Jeremy had his own choice words for Kaleb, calling him a "f***ing w****r", but nonetheless stepped in to join the harvest, which is among his favoured parts of the farming calendar. Reflecting on the friction, Kaleb expressed concerns over how people doubt his expertise because he's young, leading to bouts of self-doubt, as he contemplates whether his decisions are correct. He confessed: "And I doubt myself sometimes because I think everyone does ask themselves if they're going doing things right." Despite initial scepticism, Kaleb Cooper has skyrocketed to fame through his role on Clarkson's Farm, even taking time off during season four for a solo tour around the UK talking about agriculture. Kaleb addressed his absence from Clarkson's Farm by saying: "It was great. It was busy, but in a good way and there was so much rain we couldn't really do much farming anyway." He continued, "It's never ideal to be away, but because of the weather it was a perfect time to not be on the farm." Admitting to missing his regular farm work, he added, "But I just missed farming. It was quite weird, from doing my day job of being on a farm to then not being on the farm at all." During his tour, Kaleb connected with numerous farmers, gaining insights into various agricultural techniques and technologies. On the topic of inspiring future agriculturalists, Kaleb remarked: "I think I've inspired a lot of people to go into farming. We've just got to make sure their jobs there for them in the future." Reflecting on the tour's highlights, he said, "When I was on tour, the biggest highlight was seeing all the young farmers out there dressed like me, even with perms!". In Kaleb's absent hours, Jeremy Clarkson, 65, brought in Harriet Cowan, a farm worker and nurse, who proved her worth at Diddly Squat Farm and quickly became an esteemed part of the crew. While Prime Video hasn't confirmed a fifth season of Clarkson's Farm just yet, the popularity of the recent series has fans eagerly awaiting an announcement of its continuation.

Three new family-friendly summer events that kids will love from obstacle courses to circus classes
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AS June emerges and the school summer holidays loom, The National Trust has revealed its top events for the summer. From houses to gardens, The National Trust has hundreds of sites - all with different histories and stories. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 5 The National Trust will be hosting 'Summer of Play' across 180 places this summer Credit: ©National Trust Images/Paul Harris Across 180 National Trust places for the six weeks of the school summer holidays, there will be Summer of Play. This includes gardens and parks jam-packed with free drop-in activities and playful experiences. Some venues will have mini stages, others will have meadow mazes. Families will also be able to build dens, experiment in craft corners, learn circus skills, visit pirate lairs, experience sensory spaces and burrow in cost reading nooks. Summer of Play activities are included within admission and there's no need to book. Tom Freshwater, head of visitor programming at The National Trust has picked out some of the top events on this summer. Summer of Play at Seaton Delaval Hall, Northumberland Seaton Delaval may have been one of the architect Sir John Vanbrugh's smallest country houses, but it was home to the larger-than-life Delaval family. Tom explained: "Known as the 'Gay Delavals' due to their high spirited and flamboyant lifestyle, an invitation to one of their parties was the hottest ticket in town. "In an age notorious for extremes of behaviour, they stood apart as the most notorious of all Georgian partygoers and pranksters. "Like a party from the Delavals' Georgian heyday, expect the unexpected with pop up Summer of Play activities throughout the summer." The pretty pink UK castle that is loved by Disney and Britney Spears There will be drop-in circus activities, experts with mini circus performances and demonstrations and a recycled junk orchestra. In addition, children can head to the Delaval Playdium play area with multi-level stages, pulleys and leavers which allow 'productions' to be brought to life. Tom added: "See who's competitive in hobby horse races, or delve into a chest full of sports kit and ball games, plus table tennis and badminton and traditional games like tower block building or four-in-a-row." Also, every Friday in the Community Kitchen Garden, there will be the chance to harvest and get crafty with nature - or curl up in the sheltered story corner, with Young Gardeners. 5 Activities include crafting, outdoor games and book nooks Credit: ©National Trust Images/James Dobson Summer of Play at Chirk Castle, Wrexham Steeped in 700 years of history and nestled in the atmospheric Welsh Marches, Chirk Castle is a magnificent 13th Century Medieval fortress that later became a family home for over 400 years. Tom shared: "With far-reaching views over the Cheshire and Shropshire plains, 480 acres of working farmland and 4.5 acres of award-winning gardens, Chirk's estate makes for a stunning backdrop to the perfect summer adventure. "And of course, no visit would be complete without an exploration of the Medieval castle itself, with stunning gardens, preserved dungeons and state rooms fit for a king." This summer, families can head to Chirk Castle's Big Play Adventure - an outdoor experience for young adventurers. 5 There will even be opportunities to harvest from gardens or participate in a hobby horse race Credit: ©National Trust Images/Paul Harris There will be four themed zones to be explored, inspired by the estate itself - Forest, Meadow, Stream and Kitchen Garden. "Each zone is packed with interactive activities designed to spark imagination and encourage active play," Tom added. "From den building and designing your own obstacle course to relaxing in the mindfulness zone and engaging in imaginative play, there's hands-on fun for everyone. "Finish your adventure by climbing the straw bale lookout posts to admire your creative efforts from above." Summer of Play at Hanbury Hall, Worcesterhsire Hanbury Hall is a country retreat in the heart of Worcestershire. "This year's Summer of Play [at Hanbury Hall] is inspired by the magnificent wall paintings inside the Hall, and the Victorian fetes held by the Vernon family," Tom revealed. 5 There will be areas for smaller children too Credit: ©National Trust Images/Annapurna Mellor "Challenge your family to play traditional fete games including coconut shy, hoopla, and tin can alley. "Dance around a giant maypole, dress up as historic characters and put on your own show, and get your heart pumping with games of football, badminton, and cricket." Amongst the activities, there will also be opportunities for smaller children to let off steam, including a play area, building blocks, rocker bikes, balance boards and a sensory table. Events include circus skills, face painting and bracelet making too. The National Trust also recently revealed its top family-friendly attractions for May half term with fairytale castles and 'book jungles'. Plus, The National Trust's best free attractions to visit this summer – from sky gardens to 'city oasis' parks.
