Limp Bizkit Charts A Brand New Top 10 Hit, With Help From Netflix
Limp Bizkit is back on the Billboard charts this week, but not with a new release. Instead, the nu metal band sees one of its oldest tracks finally earn a new home more than two decades after it first dropped. 'Rollin'' appears on one Billboard ranking for the first time ever, and it doesn't just show up — it rocks straight into the top 10.
Limp Bizkit's 'Rollin'' debuts at No. 10 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. The track narrowly manages to find space on Billboard's list of the bestselling tracks in that one genre, as the tally now features just 10 spaces. Any time a tune arrives, it becomes a top 10 hit, and the rockers add another smash to their list of wins.
'Rollin'' becomes Limp Bizkit's fourth top 10 hit on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. It's also the group's sixth appearance on the tally overall. While the chart now only features 10 positions, it used to run longer.
Prior to this frame, Limp Bizkit had already reached the uppermost tier with 'Break Stuff' (No. 3), 'Dad Vibes' (No. 4), and 'Ready to Go' with Lil Wayne (No. 6).
The sudden success of 'Rollin'' can be attributed to Devil May Cry, Netflix's new action-packed animated series. Based on the beloved video game franchise, the show premiered in early April and was quickly renewed for a second season thanks to strong viewership numbers and a warm reception from critics.
The series features several hard rock staples, but 'Rollin'' appears to be the clear breakout from the soundtrack. It's the one cut that's gained the most traction across digital platforms, and, seemingly, sold the best.
Limp Bizkit's presence on the charts in America this frame isn't limited to just one title. 'Break Stuff,' another fan favorite from the group's heyday, is also growing. This week, it lifts from No. 21 to No. 18 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. The title has now spent 109 frames on that ranking and previously climbed as high as No. 7.
'Rollin'' was first released in 2000 as a single from Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. That laughably-titled album turned out to be a huge commercial success, as it reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has already been certified six-times platinum.
The song became one of Limp Bizkit's most recognizable anthems, earning massive airplay and becoming a staple of early 2000s rock radio. Now, nearly 25 years later, it's experiencing a second wave of success, with a little help from Netflix.

In an Aug. 19 Instagram post, she called out fellow TV icon Jay Leno for a mean-spirited 2009 segment from "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," which was revisited in the new Netflix docuseries "Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser." In the caption of the post, which featured photos of "The Biggest Loser's" Tracey Yukich in the three-episode series, O'Donnell, 63, wrote that Leno was "mean." The "Fit for TV" scene she referenced was one in which Yukich, a Season 8 contestant, tearfully recounted Leno reading her death threats submitted by "Biggest Loser" viewers. The "Tonight Show" encounter originally aired Nov. 3, 2009. USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Leno for comment. Though many lost weight throughout the series, the tactics at times posed a risk to participants and their esteem; Yukich suffered a near-death experience early in her season, which aired in 2009. A mom of four, she'd started Season 8 weighing 250 pounds. On the first day of filming "Loser," Yukich and her fellow contestants had to run a mile on a beach. With so much on the line, Yukich darted for the finish line, but her body began shutting down. She went from running to crawling to being pulled to the end by her competitors, and then she collapsed. Yukich had developed rhabdomyolysis, described by the Cleveland Clinic as a condition that causes muscles to disintegrate. "When this happens, toxic components of your muscle fibers enter your circulation system and kidneys." Yukich told USA TODAY that she spent more than three weeks in the hospital before resuming the competition, and ultimately shed 118 pounds. "I'm thankful that I was a part of (the show) because it did change my life," she said. "I really meant what I said at the end (when I) said that I was the one that changed my life. I was the one that did the work." Like last week, Season 1 got a boost from the Season 2 debut, tallying up 7.4 million views as the third most-watched show of the week. Between 'Wednesday' Seasons 1 and 2 on the week's top 10 list was 'Fit for TV: the Reality of 'The Biggest Loser,'' which scored 7.5 million views as the week's No. 2 most-watched show. Jake Paul to fight Gervonta 'Tank' Davis in November exhibition on Netflix
Jake Paul's next fight has been set. The YouTuber-turned-boxer will be facing Gervonta "Tank" Davis in an exhibition match at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on Nov. 14. In similar fashion to his controversial fight with Mike Tyson, Netflix will be hosting the major event later this year. Paul, who is 12-1 in his boxing career with seven knockouts, has already started the trash talk on X. "Gervonta has been disrespecting my name for too long. His nickname might be Tank, but I'm an FPV drone and I'm about to disable this tiny boy," Paul said. "Yes, he's one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world, but my motto is anyone, anytime, anyplace, against all odds. And I like my odds. First, I am going to kill David, then I will go on to slaughter Goliath." "Goliath" likely refers to Anthony Joshua, the British pro who is a two-time heavyweight champion. He and Paul were in talks, but they reportedly collapsed due to network issues. While Davis has never lost a fight, his last one was mired in controversy. He fought to a draw with Lamont Roach in March at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which included Davis' kneel-down that wasn't called as a knockdown in the ninth round. Davis was expected to face Roach again on Aug. 16. However, he got into a legal situation after being arrested for misdemeanor battery-domestic violence. His ex-girlfriend accused him of striking her on the back of the head and slapping her during a June 15 altercation. The charge was dropped last week after his ex-girlfriend refused to prosecute. Meanwhile, Paul's last fight was against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, where he won by unanimous decision in California. The victory gave him a World Boxing Association (WBA) ranking this past month, debuting as the No. 14 contender in the cruiserweight division. Speaking of weight classes, that will be a major storyline between these two fighters before their bout in November. Paul weighs in at least 50 pounds more than Davis, who is 5-foot-5 compared to Paul's 6-foot-1 frame. Netflix will also be hosting a Sept. 13 bout between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, two of the best pound-for-pound boxers to ever step foot in a ring.
