Jeremy Allen White's 'quiet confidence' lands him Louis Vuitton role
Jeremy Allen White's "quiet confidence" helped land him a new role as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
The Bear star has been unveiled as the new face of the brand's menswear line and Creative Director Pharrell Williams has revealed he got the actor onboard because he has an "authenticity that you can't fake".
Pharrell said in a statement: "Jeremy's got a quiet confidence and authenticity that you can't fake. It's effortless. At Louis Vuitton, it's about real people who move culture forward - and Jeremy lives that. We're proud to welcome him into the family."
Pictures of Jeremy modelling for Louis Vuitton in his first campaign were posted on Instagram with the message: "Embodying a shared pursuit of innovation, the newest House Ambassador joins Louis Vuitton's cultivated community, effortlessly blending his modern artistry and elegance."
The actor has since opened up his new job admitting he's putting more effort into his style. He told GQ magazine: "I'm dressing up more now, even for some things that may be more casual.
"Even if I'm gonna be in a pair of old jeans and a T-shirt, it feels good to throw on a pair of beautiful shoes, or a really good jacket, just try and elevate a little where I can ...
"There's such a history [to Louis Vuitton], their clothes are so well made, so much care goes into all the pieces."
He added of Pharrell: "Pharrell has been a part of music and fashion and culture as a whole as far back as I can remember.
"He's always looked good, he's always looked cool, he's always set trends. I think he's just given me confidence to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try new things. He's a legend."
Jeremy's new gig was hinted at earlier this year when he wore the brand's clothes to the Met Gala last month and during an appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February.
The actor was previously the face of Calvin Klein underwear and shot his first saucy campaign for the brand back in 2023.
He previously admitted he was nervous about stripping to his Calvins for the shoot, telling GQ: "I felt so insecure leading up to the shoot itself, and it felt kind of crazy. Acting on film or TV and then doing these sort of campaigns or photo shoots, there's such a big difference – because in film and TV, your job is to sort of forget the camera is there, and then with these sort of shoots, your partner is sort of the photographer and the camera. And so I was concerned about making that work."

Immigration officials in the US have confirmed they detained and then told one of the world's biggest TikTok stars to leave the country because he 'overstayed the terms of his visa'. Khaby Lame, who has more than 160 million followers on the social media site, voluntarily left the US on Friday, it's been reported. The 25-year-old Senegalese-Italian became famous for his comedy skills and parody of ridiculous 'life hacks' offered up online, and in May was a guest at New York's Met Gala. 'US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, (on) June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations,' ICE said in a statement to America's National Public Radio (NPR). ICE said Lame entered the country legally on April 30 but stayed there beyond his visa limits. 'Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the US,' the statement read. ESTA authorisation for the US, which many people travel on, lasts for up to two years but has a number of work restrictions. P visas, which performers can obtain, often last only for the duration of an event or project which the person is completing. Authorities did not say what visa Lame was on. By departing voluntarily, he should face fewer hurdles upon returning to the US in future. However, NBC has reported that Sharks Celebrities Management, which represents Lame, said the ICE statement was 'fake news' and the star had not been in the US this month. The agency added that the 'name mentioned is not his birth name'. The Lame incident went viral after political activist Bo Loudon claimed he personally reported Lame to immigration authorities and alleged that the TikToker was being held at the Henderson Detention Centre in Nevada. Lame, whose social media accounts are filled with humorous clips and videos of his globetrotting exploits, has yet to publicly discuss the incident. Although born in West Africa, Lame has spent the majority of his life in Italy, where he joined TikTok during the pandemic out of boredom before his meteoric rise.

The couple only 'found out through the media' about David's much-desired knighthood — which is set to be announced as part of King Charles' annual birthday honors list this Friday. 'Brooklyn is so happy for his dad as he knows it was something important to him, but there was no communication and no one from the family reached out,' a close source told us. But sources close to David and Victoria said Brooklyn has not been in contact with his family. In addition to his athletic endeavors, David is well known for his charity work, much of which is focused on improving the lives of underprivileged children. He has been a Unicef special ambassador for 20 years and this year collected the World Economic Forum crystal award for work on children's rights. The Beckhams were invited to Buckingham Palace in December for the Qatari state dinner, and joined the monarch and Queen Camilla at his country retreat, Highgrove House, for an Italian-themed dinner in February alongside Dame Helen Mirren, Stanley Tucci and Donatella Versace. In a post shared on her Instagram account, Victoria showed off her white floor-length gown and David's traditional black tuxedo and bow tie. 'A truly wonderful dinner at Highgrove this evening.
