A24's ‘Bring Her Back' Trailer Teams ‘Talk to Me' Filmmakers With Sally Hawkins
'Bring Her Back' is almost here.
The sophomore feature from YouTube creators-turned-filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou arrives in theaters this summer courtesy of A24. And the brothers' follow-up to 2023's 'Talk to Me' looks every bit as blood curdling as their debut. Watch the brand-new trailer below.
The official synopsis reads, simply, 'A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.' The brother and sister are played by Billy Barratt and Sora Wong, with the foster mother played by the one and only Sally Hawkins. Other cast members include Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips and Mischa Heywood.
'Bring Her Back' was written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman and produced by Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton.
It seems to capture all of the things that made 'Talk to Me' so special – the mixture of modernity and ancient evil, from the fresh point-of-view of young people (made by actual young people, so the characters in the movie don't feel hopelessly out-of-touch from the real world). That final shot of one of the characters in a circle that wouldn't be out of place in 'Pet Sematary,' really sets the mood.
In addition to 'Bring Her Back,' the Philippou brothers are also working on a 'Talk to Me' sequel for A24.
A24 will release 'Bring Her Back' exclusively to theaters this summer.

Eddy Garcia, who worked as the security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016, testified on Tuesday. Combs was seen on the hotel's surveillance footage physically attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Footage of the 2016 incident was released by CNN last year. Combs said he wanted the video taken off a server and a copy of the video because it could "ruin his career" if the footage was made public, Garcia testified. Of course, plenty of pups have qualities in common based on their breed, genetics, or pure coincidence, but when it comes down to their mannerisms and preferences, no two dogs are exactly the same. Dog lovers wouldn't have it any other way! Pups are so entertaining and endearing, although some, like @pooknoot's Pit Bull mix, can be a bit strange, too. The way this dog accepts a treat from his dad is the oddest thing! Even though this dog dad has been attempting to go viral for his basketball tricks, it was his pup's bizarre behavior that has millions of people talking. Some viewers feel downright creeped out by the strange way he takes the treat, but you'll just have to see for yourself. What in the world was that? The unbreaking eye contact and slow backing up were unnerving to say the least, but I can appreciate this dog's confidence in navigating his steps in reverse. "Bro knows every square inch of that house," one commenter noticed. "He didn't even need to look where he was going." Clearly, he walks backwards regularly if he can do it on command and not bump into a thing. Now that's one talented dog!Just as I started to wonder if this was too good to be true, I saw plenty of comments questioning whether this video was simply played in reverse. But sure enough, this dog's weird behavior is as real as it gets! I'll never get over this! Dogs don't usually work this hard to stay front-facing unless they feel unsafe, but this Pit Bull mix is in his forever home with his Dad, whom he loves.
