Amit Shah on Maharashtra visit: Key inaugurations and a BJP rally in Nagpur and Nanded today
Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], May 26 (ANI): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah who arrived in Nagpur on Sunday night is slated to participate in in a series of events in Nagpur and Nanded today, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced.
Shah received a warm welcome from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Fadnavis upon his arrival here yesterday.

The schedule includes the bhoomipujan of 'Swasti Niwas' at the National Cancer Institute in Jamtha, Nagpur, followed by the bhoomipujan of the permanent campus and e-inauguration of the temporary campus of the National Forensic Science University in Kamthi in the city.
Later, Shah will inaugurate a full-length statue and premises beautification work of former Chief Minister Late Vasantrao Naik in Anand Nagar, Nanded. This will be followed by the BJP Shankhnad grand public rally at Nava Mondha Ground, Nanded and the inauguration of the BJP Nanded city office in Shivajinagar, Nanded, this evening.
These events highlight a blend of developmental initiatives, public engagement, and homage to regional leaders.
The Home Minister will be making an upcoming visit to West Bengal as well.
Shah is scheduled to travel to West Bengal on June 1, where he will participate in a significant central government event anticipated to take place in the vibrant city of Kolkata. According to sources within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), this visit is expected to highlight key governmental initiatives.
During his upcoming visit, Shah is scheduled to engage in discussions with key members of the party's core committee, as well as the elected BJP MLAs. This gathering aims to strengthen party unity and strategise on pressing political issues, ensuring that all representatives are aligned with the party's objectives and upcoming initiatives.
'There could be discussions on preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in the state,' a BJP source said.
With the Bengal Assembly elections due next year, the BJP has already begun early preparations across the state. (ANI)

Tajikistan Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin arrives in India for 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue and bilateral talks
New Delhi [India], June 5 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) extended a warm welcome to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on his official visit to India. 'Warm welcome to FM Sirojiddin Muhriddin of the Republic of Tajikistan. His official visit to India includes participation in the 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue, as well as bilateral engagements,' the MEA said in a post on X. As part of his visit, Muhriddin will join other regional leaders at the 4th meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue in New Delhi on June 6, 2025. According to a press release shared by the Indian Embassy in Dushanbe on its official X handle. (@IndEmbDushanbe), the Dialogue will be hosted by External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and will see the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, in addition to Tajikistan. The third edition of the India-Central Asia Dialogue was also hosted by India in December 2021. The MEA highlighted that India and Central Asia, as part of each other's 'Extended Neighbourhood,' enjoy strong diplomatic ties grounded in centuries-old cultural and people-to-people exchanges. The Dialogue is a reflection of mutual interest to strengthen regional partnership through cooperation, trust, and understanding. The 4th edition will focus on enhancing collaboration in trade, connectivity, technology, and development. The participating ministers are also expected to share views on regional security and global concerns. Ahead of the main dialogue, the Foreign Ministers will attend the India-Central Asia Business Council meeting on June 5, organised by the MEA in partnership with FICCI. (ANI)

"Despite political differences, we stand together," Kanimozhi after meeting EAM Jaishankar along with all-party delegation

Jaishankar interacted with the All-Party Delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi, following their recent multi-nation visit to Russia, Latvia, Slovenia, Greece, and Spain. Sharing an update on X, Jaishankar wrote, 'Glad to interact with the All Party Delegation led by @KanimozhiDMK that visited Russia, Latvia, Slovenia, Greece and Spain.' The delegation's visit was part of a global outreach initiative aimed at briefing key nations on Operation Sindoor and India's counter-terrorism stance following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who led the delegation, said the visit was 'very positive' and underscored that its bipartisan nature--comprising mostly opposition MPs and one BJP MP--reflected India's united stand against terrorism on the global stage. Speaking after the return, Kanimozhi emphasised that terrorism linked to Pakistan affects not just India but the global community, calling for collective international action to curb terror.
