₹7,770.83 crore disbursed under Rythu Bharosa, benefiting over 66 lakh farmers
The State government disbursed ₹7,770.83 crore as of Saturday under the Rythu Bharosa scheme for the Vanakalam crop, covering 126.28 lakh acres and benefiting 66,18,931 farmers who hold land up to 9 acres.
During the launch of the Rythu Nestham programme held at Prof. Jayashankar Telangana Agriculture University in Hyderabad on Monday, June 16, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that ₹9,000 crore would be credited as the Vanakalam instalment of Rythu Bharosa, the farmers' investment support scheme, within nine days. As promised, the State government is disbursing the amount every day since Monday. On the sixth day, 67,352 farmers holding up to 8 acres (total of 4,43,193.20 acres) were credited with the amount, while 39,164 farmers holding up to 9 acres (total of 3,23,875 acres) were provided with financial assistance, much to the joy of the farmers.

Proposals for Metro Rail Phase 2 submitted to Centre
Hyderabad The proposals for Metro Rail Phase 2 (B), along with all the required documents and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), were submitted to the Union Government on Saturday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, during his recent visit to New Delhi, urged the Centre to sanction permissions for the project at the earliest. The Phase 2 (B) project consists of three corridors — Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to Bharat Future City (39.6 km) with an estimated cost of ₹7,168 crore; Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) to Medchal (24.5 km) to be constructed at an estimted cost of ₹6,946 crore and JBS to Shamirpet (22 km) to be constructed at ₹5,465 crore. It covers a total length of 86.1 km involving an investment of ₹19,579 crore. As per the JV project norms of the Central government, Phase 2 (B) cost of ₹19,579 crore will have GoTG's share of ₹5,874 crore (30%), GoI's share of ₹3,524 crore (18%); debt from international financial institutions of ₹9,398 crore (48%) and a small PPP component of ₹783 crore (4%).

In just 18 months, Telangana govt spent Rs 1 lakh crore on farmer welfare
HYDERABAD: In 18 months since it assumed office, the Revanth Reddy government has spent a whopping Rs 1,04,940 crore on the welfare of the farmers in the state. According to government sources, no other state government has spent such a large amount in such a short span of time for uplifting the farmers and their families, In its first year in office, the government created a new record by waiving farmers loans at one go. Farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh were waived, benefiting around 25 lakh farmers, sources said. 'During the previous BRS regie, the crop loans used to be waived in four to five instalments, imposing interest burden on farmers. Even after 10 years of BRS rule, several farmers could not clear their debts,' they added. In contrast, the Congress government waived Rs 20,616 crore worth of crop loans in its first year in office. Besides, the government also allocated huge funds to the Rythu Bharosa scheme within just 18 months. So far, Rs 12,682 crore has been disbursed under this scheme, they said. Sources, meanwhile, said that in the current monsoon crop season, the government set a new record in providing input assistance. 'From June 16 onwards, within just five days, Rs 7,310.59 crore was directly deposited into farmers' accounts. A total of 65.12 lakh farmers received Rythu Bharosa benefits so far,' they said.
