When Mahhi Vij Earned Rs 50,000 Featuring In An Ad With Sachin Tendulkar

News1808-07-2025
Mahhi Vij talked about working with the God of Cricket player Sachin Tendulkar, for which she received around Rs 50,000.
Mahhi Vij recently grabbed headlines amid ongoing rumours of a divorce from her husband, actor Jay Bhanushali — speculation the couple has consistently denied. Amid the buzz, Mahhi took a nostalgic turn and opened up about a special moment from her early career in the entertainment industry.
Speaking on The Male Feminist podcast, the Balika Vadhu actress recalled her first-ever paycheque, which came from a commercial she shot with none other than cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The ad was for a pen brand, and Mahhi revealed that she was paid Rs 50,000 — a sum that held immense value for her and her family at the time.
'My first paycheque came from an ad I did with Sachin Tendulkar, for a pen brand," she shared. 'I received Rs 50,000 for it. That Rs 50,000 was a big deal for us, like, a really big deal."
During the same interview, Mahhi Vij also shed light on her divorce rumours with Jay Bhanushali. The actress said, 'If there's a possible separation or not, why should I tell you? Who are you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer's fees? Will you help me get a good divorce? I just feel like, why make such a big deal out of it? People start saying things like, 'Oh, they're about to separate' or 'They're getting divorced.' Then they start writing stuff like, 'Oh, he was always like this,' or 'She was like that.' I've even seen comments saying, 'Mahi is decent, Jay is like this,' or 'Jay is good, Mahi is like that.' Who are you? What do you even know?"
'You sit there judging like you're everyone's uncle or aunt. What do you actually know about our lives? I feel like here, people make such a fuss over things, 'Oh my God, single mother, divorce, now there must be some issue, now it'll turn messy.' Everyone expects drama. I think there's too much pressure from society, what will people say, what will others think? I honestly feel, live and let live. That's it," she added.
Mahhi Vij also shared that her daughter Tara has also been targeted by online trolls, which used to hurt her a lot. People commented on how she takes care of her daughter, by saying things like she's putting makeup on her child. Mahhi said that since Tara is her own daughter, she has every right to do whatever she wants and others shouldn't interfere. In the beginning, such comments used to bother her and she used to think a lot about what people were saying. But over time, she has stopped letting these opinions affect her and now she chooses to ignore the negativity.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna's gangster drama crosses Rs 200 crore mark in India, but where is War 2?

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6: Only a few people in their lifetime earn respect, name, fame, and money like Rajinikanth. The actor is hailed as a demigod in the South, and fans go crazy every time a new movie of his hits the big screen. Something similar happened with Lokesh Kanagaraj's film Coolie. From long queues to celebrations outside the theater halls—you name it, and it happens every time a Thalaivar film releases. While the film had a thunderous start at the box office, it enjoyed strong numbers over the Independence Day weekend, but collections have started to dip as the weekdays set in. Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6 Detailed Analysis As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie's box office collection on day 6 stood at Rs 9.50 crore. Coming to Coolie's box office collection on day 1 and 2, the movie minted Rs 65 crore and Rs 54 crore, respectively. Coolie was released in 4 languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. The Tamil belt turned out to be the highest revenue generator. Over days 3, 4, and 5, Coolie earned Rs 39 crore, Rs 35 crore, and Rs 12 crore, respectively. Coolie Gives Tough Competition to War 2 Despite the slowdown, Rajinikanth's action drama has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in India, a milestone that has fans rejoicing. However, it continues to face tough competition from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2, which hit theaters on the same day. Coolie Movie Review Coolie movie review by reads, 'Overall, Coolie aspires to be a mass entertainer but is hindered by a fragmented storyline and underdeveloped characters. The ensemble cast's potential is largely untapped, and the narrative's lack of focus detracts from the overall experience. It misses the mark on multiple fronts, making it an unexpected misstep in Lokesh's otherwise strong filmography.'

War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's action-thriller struggles to reach Rs 200 crore, earns Rs...

War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: When two big films hit the big screen on the same day, it is expected to be a storm at the box office. However, something opposite happened as Ayan Mukerji's War 2 and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie were released simultaneously. While it was expected that both films would perform big at the box office, the opposite happened. Coolie opened with Rs 65 crore, while War 2 earned Rs 52 crore on day 1. Now, almost a week later, both films have slowed down in generating revenue. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8. 25 crore. War 2 Box Office Collection Detailed Analysis Directed by Ayan Mukerji under the YRF banner and within the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 is headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR. Made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2's box office collection on day 1 stood at Rs 52 crore. The numbers were not considered good because, being a pan-India release, it did not mint as much as expected, especially in the Hindi market. Following day 1, on day 2 and 3, War 2 earned Rs 57 crore and Rs 33 crore respectively. On day 2, the movie witnessed a 50 percent hike in the Hindi market as it collected Rs 44 crore. Over the next two days, the collections dropped, with the film earning Rs 32 crore on day 4 and just Rs 8 crore on day 5. Now, War 2 box office collection on day 6 stands at Rs 8.25 crore. With this, the total collection of War 2 has reached Rs 192 crore. It now seems that the film is struggling to touch the Rs 200 crore mark. War 2 Competition From Rajinikanth's Coolie In the initial days of release, War 2 and Coolie had an edge-to-edge competition, with only a marginal difference in collections. However, now, Coolie has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in India and is leading with a good margin. War 2 Review War 2 movie review by reads, 'The plot of War 2 is painfully predictable, the VFX are subpar, and the dialogues often border on cringeworthy. Hrithik's much-hyped mass entry and a few well-executed action scenes are the only moments worth noting.'

Superstar Rajinikanth 's latest film 'Coolie' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, had a thunderous start at the box office during the Independence Day weekend. But after the long holiday run, the film is now seeing a dip in collections as weekdays kick in. Despite the slowdown, the Rajinikanth action drama has crossed the big Rs 200 crore mark in India, a milestone that keeps fans celebrating.
